There will be a spike in cases as the newly implemented testing rolls out in the U.S. This is simply because there will be a dramatic increase in testing, resulting in a significant increase in data showing a more accurate picture of the number of infected. The more cases that test positive for Covid-19, the greater the denominator in the mathematical equation....meaning, number of deaths, divided by, number of cases testing positive.
Hence, the death rate will begin to approach a more accurate number, but will never achieve total accuracy, as there are an unknown number of cases of infection that never get tested, or treated, due to mild symptoms.
The reason I'm trying to put this out there is, it may appear for the next week or so, that the numbers of infected are skyrocketing in certain areas of the U.S., when in reality, it is the accuracy of the testing that is giving a more true picture (more accurate data) of the number of infected cases.

For the rest of my life I will have totally different behavior if I’m in public, which I’ll probably continue to avoid as much as possible. I suddenly find I’m not so interested in travel, hotel rooms, public restrooms, restaurants, malls, airports, etc., the list is non ending. I’m ultra paranoid this will go away, only to re-emerge, or a new strain will soon follow. Is this our “new life”?
