Agreed, and I also thank you for doing this! We need to do this way more often. For the first time ever I felt compelled to fill out one of those bottom of the receipt surveys at Target (hubby's a big fan of those surveys for free donuts or whatever :)). We need to make corporate see our appreciation for the low-wage workers on the from lines.
It's something we can do from home right now that would make a bit of a difference.

“We grow too soon old, too late smart” is what Cuomo says his grandfather used to tell him, referring to the Spring Breakers on the beaches and partying.

I just talked to a friend an hr. away from me. They are under self quarantine as they returned Sunday from an 18 day S. American Cruise. We are in SW Ont. Canada. Their Superstore and Walmart are closed to in store shopping. You call your order in and wait in parking lot. Delivered right to your trunk. I think all stores need to do this. Need to see if my City is doing this anywhere. Nurse Daughter working, god bless her. Son who is a Rehab Therapist as well at our local Hospital has been pulled to screening people coming in. He was suppose to go with his Wife for her routine ultrasound as she enters her 5th month of pregnancy. Only she can enter Hospital (different Hospital from where he works) Looking forward to warm weather so we can at least be out on the deck. Some folks said they plan to gather in yards with a few peeps and keep their chairs 6 feet apart.

Here's what I don't get.....how hard are they to make?! We've known about the shortage of masks for healthcare providers for weeks. Why aren't companies working around the clock to crank these masks out for hospitals and ambulances?!?!

I honestly do not understand why this shortage continues.

When I read this, I nearly choked. Hopefully the expired masks weren't sent to the dump, or heads will roll.

"TORONTO – Millions of face masks stockpiled by Ontario in the aftermath of the SARS outbreak to protect healthcare workers during a future epidemic have expired, according to provincial officials and documents, raising questions about the readiness of Canada’s most populous province to deal with the spreading coronavirus.

"Thirteen years ago, Ontario stockpiled some 55 million N95 masks and other medical equipment after the province bore the brunt of the SARS epidemic in Canada in 2002 and 2003. But provincial officials have confirmed that the masks in the stockpile have passed their expiration date and sidestepped questions about how many masks, including expired ones, remain.

Sounds like the family is close (and funny).

This video is MSM and about the virus, btw so on topic. (Ignore the Italian subtitles, the audio is in English.)

EDITED TO ADD: These two are brothers, for those who don't know.

Hmm... I think it must have been edited -- two minutes of brotherly banter and nothing about the virus.

I'm seeing kids all over the place. My husband said co-workers brought kids to work yesterday. ?!?

There wasn't a plan of what to do with the kids when the school closed, which is why I think de Blasio in NYC was so reluctant to close them, but he was pressured to do so.

I see both sides to the decision, but it's too late now. Most schools are closed and the kids are now in the community.

The kids should be home, not in school and not "in the community".

My friend finally found the shade of lipstick she's been looking for, and now she has no place to wear it (LOL).

GEORGIA...CLUSTER OCCURRING HERE.

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - In response to an increase of COVID-19 cases in the area, Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital is temporarily suspending visitation at all Phoebe hospitals.

“We know coronavirus is in our community, and we are at a critical point to try to minimize transmission. A stricter visitation policy is just one more step we think is wise to protect our patients, staff, and community,” said Steven Kitchen, chief medical officer said.

I think all stores need to do this.
I said this a couple days ago! I wish our stores would. Soon, I’m afraid they will have no one able or willing to work. I fear for everyone working. Not only from the virus aspect, I fear some nut with a gun will go postal when he can’t buy TP.
