I hope the stimulus checks are staggered. Think of the stampede if everyone gets a check on the same day. Stampede=spread, imo.

People should contact their bank or search on their phone for their banking app. In that app is an option to upload and deposit the front and back of the signed check.

I wonder if it leaves your hands smelling like beer, nothing attracts a man like the smell of beer :D

I’m so afraid for Louisiana. Their stats are startling. Then, where does it land next, that’s the million dollar question. Moo

Good idea. Think of the stores if they come out the same day. Omg

But one particular sentence from an ancient Holocaust survivor caught my attention. She said, "there's nothing so wonderful as a boring day."
—————
I am reminded of that Holocaust survivor now, because I keep complaining to my family and friends about how bored I am trapped in my apartment during coronavirus. It flashed into my mind, though---how wonderful it is to have a boring day! That means nothing awful has happened! I'd certainly rather be safe and bored at home than to be in a hospital, sick with the virus and struggling to breathe.

Beautiful words of wisdom, @Arkay. Thank you so much for sharing!

A heads up for Netflix users: They have throttled the download speed. We downgraded our account to 'standard' to match the available streaming rate. Don't want to pay for speed we can't get.

I have noticed Comcast seems to "skip" all the time. It's like they are doing 5 frames per second instead of 30 frames per second. Iirc, they opened up to all as to quantity for free in my area, so overwhelmed? My issue is that I wanted to go to slower just 2 months ago, yet they said that I had to lose my favorite channels. I, at that time, went down one tier, and lost Investigation Discovery Channel booooooo.

If you live in a small village, folks could put easter egg pictures in their windows, and families with young children could go for a walk, car or bike ride to find them. People are able to be outside in our village and maintain physical distancing.
I’m rural, on a state road, no foot traffic. A lot of gatherings though, even now. So many just don’t care.
I guess it actually has to kill a relative for some to “get” it.

Where I live the children have drawn rainbows to put in the windows, looks lovely. A dog-walker just posted on FB she'd seen 27 on her way round!

CORONAVIRUS FLIRTING: Man flies drone to get woman’s number
''A man in New York practising social distancing from his home went above and beyond other suitors when he saw a pretty neighbour dancing on her rooftop.

Jeremy Cohen, who lives in Brooklyn, flew a drone with his number written on a piece of paper to a “quarantine cutie” he spotted from his balcony and captured the moment in a video posted to TikTok.

Posting the video on Twitter, Cohen said, “I can’t believe this actually worked and yes this is a real story.
“I looked out my window and saw this girl dancing, perhaps to a TikTok song,” the 28-year-old said in the video.

The two made eye contact, smiled and waved at each other.''

A treat for Jackson Browne fans like me...or for anyone...to enjoy...

Shortly after testing positive for COVID-19, Jackson Browne dropped a new song, “A Little Soon to Say.” The track will be available digitally on Friday, March 27th, and is featured on his upcoming album, slated for October 9th.

“I wanna see you holding out your light/I wanna see you light the way,” he sings over a subtle, sparkling arrangement. “But whether everything will be alright/It’s just a little soon to say.”

“A Little Soon to Say” was actually written prior to the coronavirus pandemic, but Browne thought it appropriate to release now. “I thought, ‘Just do that now,’ ” he tells Rolling Stone. “Just put it out now while these things are so uncertain.”

I am a huge Jackson Browne fan. This song is really really good and so appropriate for the times we are in right now.

What is going on in Louisiana? CNN made note that the surge of cases was because they didn’t shut down Mardi Gras.

My daughter lives in Brooklyn and sent me a picture of her and her boyfriend sitting on a blanket on the roof of their apartment building having a wine and cheese party for two and watching the sun set.

I know some if you may think this is trivial but exercise is really important for my well-being and lots of other people I'm sure.
What is everyone else doing exercise wise during all this?

I have to push myself to exercise because I’d rather sit and read (since childhood), but I’m using my treadmill for about 10 minutes at a time (all I can manage right now) every day or so. It lets me feel that I’m doing something for my poor old body! :D

I recently read an Infectious Disease expert's comments that said using a nasal wash system, like Netti Pot was a really bad idea because it just forced the viral particles in the nasal passenges farther back into the back of the throat or sinuses and essentially keep "re-inoculating" the area.

But I would have thought otherwise. I would have thought that a Netti pot would be useful for the COVID-19 infecctions, as I find it quite helpful when I have one of the usual rhinorrhea, nasal congestion, sinus pain colds.
Well, I am no expert, I will admit. I can only speak from personal experience, hence MOO, MOO, MOO :). A netti pot with distilled or boiled water that has been cooled has never failed to stop a sinus infection since we began flushing. I haven’t needed antibiotics in many, many years, when I used to suffer from them every time I got a cold virus. I also attribute this to the use of iodine, specifically Lugol’s solution (a drop in a 80z). To be clear, we use additional supplementation of other vitamins and minerals as well. If others don’t believe these things help, that’s o.k. I am only sharing my personal experience. I’ll MOO that again :)
