Not to disagree with your post, just that I don't think South America has any cruise ship lines like that, but yes of course the ship was coming from SA, IIRC. Panama has traditionally been a place for cruise ship owners to register to avoid the taxes, regulations, and minimum pay that the USA imposes from American companies. I don't know if this cruise ship company is one of those that Trump said he intends to make "vibrant" with US taxpayer dollars. Chile stopped many cruise ships from docking. They finally let one dock a couple of weeks ago to let off the passengers as the cruise ship company abruptly cancelled the trip. They had to do it in the middle of the night because local citizens did not want those passengers to enter Chile, the passengers were taken directly to the airport. Even then there were demonstrations.Has the governor of Florida addressed this or explain how he is planning on handling over 1,000 of the affected, infected, sick and deceased? Did he or the federal government explain why they are accepting this South American cruise ship?
