Has the governor of Florida addressed this or explain how he is planning on handling over 1,000 of the affected, infected, sick and deceased? Did he or the federal government explain why they are accepting this South American cruise ship?
According to google it's a Netherlands company. Not to disagree with your post, just that I don't think South America has any cruise ship lines like that, but yes of course the ship was coming from SA, IIRC. Panama has traditionally been a place for cruise ship owners to register to avoid the taxes, regulations, and minimum pay that the USA imposes from American companies. I don't know if this cruise ship company is one of those that Trump said he intends to make "vibrant" with US taxpayer dollars. Chile stopped many cruise ships from docking. They finally let one dock a couple of weeks ago to let off the passengers as the cruise ship company abruptly cancelled the trip. They had to do it in the middle of the night because local citizens did not want those passengers to enter Chile, the passengers were taken directly to the airport. Even then there were demonstrations.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) said Thursday 707 people in the state have tested positive [2] for COVID-19. A significantly higher number of tests — more than 94 percent of the total number conducted in Wisconsin — have come back negative.

According to health care professionals, the high ratio of negative-to-positive tests is in line with what they'd expect early in an epidemic.

"You'll start with a low level of positives and then as you start ascending your curve, the percentage of tests that you do that are positive will increase," said Dr. Jeff Pothof, chief quality officer at UW Health.

Pothof attributed Wisconsin's large number of negative tests — more than 11,500 as of Thursday afternoon — to the fact that COVID-19 can present like many other respiratory illnesses, including influenza, parainfluenza and even seasonal allergies.
Snip
In other parts of the country, there have been reports of people who've been tested multiple times and received different results. False negatives very likely aren't contributing to the large number of negative COVID-19 tests in Wisconsin, Pothof said. If samples are taken properly from patients with symptoms, he said the test is very accurate.

In Wisconsin, people without symptoms aren't being tested, Pothof said. He noted it's possible for asymptomatic carriers to test negative for the virus. That's in line with what Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Disease, told the Journal of the American Medical Association.

"If it's negative, you may be early on in the infection and the viral load may be so low you don't get it," he said.
Here's why so many COVID-19 tests are coming back negative

"I love you". "No, really, I LOVE YOU" often works to thaw the ice in our home. JMO, and wishing you luck and hugs.
Update:

Contact has been made and I didn't have to have a winter coat on lol.

FLORIDA

"Analysis of mobile devices that were active at a single #Florida beach during spring break shows how far and wide these visitors traveled, potentially carrying #coronavirus."

My comment....they tracked the phone numbers to locations after they left the beach...FAR MORE DESTRUCTIVE THAN NY COMING INTO STATE...IMO

Ask why Florida Governor DeSantis wants to spread the virus, he didn't close the beaches and all those kids went back home.

Beaches are still open, Spring Break is still in full swing in Florida.

They complain about other people driving into their State from "hot spots", ummm, but they welcome a ship full of 1,000 of sick and dead passengers?

Good!!!
Unsolicited advice, but I have also found that it's a good idea to calmly but clearly state your boundary along with that love - that he is never to call you a name like that again, and you will never call him one, either. It seems to work. And then reiterate the love.

Who did make the decision?

No one has stepped up. Local government was not informed either. The decision either came from the governor of Florida or the president of the united states. There is an emergency local meeting on Tuesday morning.

INDIA

On Thursday, the first made-in-India coronavirus testing kits reached the market, raising hopes of an increase in screening of patients with flu symptoms to confirm or rule out the Covid-19 infection.

Mylab Discovery, in the western city of Pune, became the first Indian firm to get full approval to make and sell testing kits. It shipped the first batch of 150 to diagnostic labs in Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Goa and Bengaluru (Bangalore) this week.

"Our manufacturing unit... is working through the weekend and the next batch will be sent out on Monday," Dr Gautam Wankhede, Mylab's director for medical affairs, told the BBC on Friday.

The molecular diagnostic company, which also makes testing kits for HIV and Hepatitis B and C, and other diseases, says it can supply up to 100,000 Covid-19 testing kits a week and can produce up to 200,000 if needed.

Each Mylab kit can test 100 samples and costs 1,200 rupees ($16; £13) - that's about a quarter of the 4,500 rupees that India pays to import Covid-19 testing kits from abroad.

Our kit gives the diagnosis in two and a half hours while the imported testing kits take six-seven hours," says virologist Minal Dakhave Bhosale, Mylab's research and development chief.

That same evening, just an hour before she was taken to hospital ahead of her Caesarean, she submitted the proposal to the Indian FDA and the drugs control authority CDSCO for commercial approval.

Looking forward to the next "Fireside Chat." MSNBC usually carries it. Bless this man, I can't imagine when he sleeps, yet he still makes time for pressers. JMO

And he speaks to the nation, which is so comforting at a time like this.

Brevard County beaches to close Friday-Sunday during the day

All county, municipal and Patrick Air Force Base-area beaches will close Friday-Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. but remain open on the weekdays, County Commissioner Bryan Lober said.

Residents with beachfront property will still be able to access areas of their property along the beach.

Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution - Wikipedia

Texas, Florida, Rhode Island and any other State should be ashamed of themselves.

The USA isn’t communist China.
This is what a lack of a total logistics federal plan will bring us. Hatred among our own people, who are willing to give up constitutional protection. It is awful, and it has to stop. The only way to get through this is to be together, AND to self-quarantine.
Just heard: "misinformation is a pathogen in itself". We are going to have total chaos without federal discipline guiding us.

I find those rankings bizarre. New York is listed among the 10 most prepared-New York has the most cases out of the whole country. California is the most prepared? Louisiana is among top 10?
Prepared to handle cases? Idk, it is astrange

The governor hasn't been saying they are prepared to handle all the cases. In fact the opposite. They need more PPE, ventilators, etc.

I have relatives in their 70's in 4 places in the USA. My relatives in Alaska are as frightened as I am, and haven't left their rural house for 2 weeks, banking in person there is by appointment only. My relatives in the mid west where the virus has already hit, say they are "being careful", yet go regularly to shop in a huge food store, one family member comes and goes from their job, and they see their grandchildren. My other relatives in the NW say they will do whatever the governor says to do. So even within my own family there is a range of reactions, for instance I am way ahead of what any governor is saying.
I am petrified, I live in a very rural area, town of about 500, and I leave my house, in my car, only to go hiking where there are no people at all, or to the corner store to get dog food and chicken every few days. It's a tiny store, I stand out on the steps about 8 feet away from the counter, and tell her what I need, I actually hold my breath while in the little store and have her put it on my account instead of having to exchange money. Then, lol, I kind of reach in and snatch the bag and wash it all when I get home. I leave the non food items out in the sun for hours, turning them over.
It's great living in a rural area, but it also means that if the virus ramps up here there will be few beds and probably they will discriminate against older folk.
