Chris Cuomo: (paraphrasing) symptoms last night haunted me! Wish I had this a month ago so I could have known then. If this happens again idk if we’d survive.
This virus came at me, I’ve never seen anything like it, shaking so hard I chipped my tooth, hallucinating about my dad, people from college I haven’t seen in years, might happen again tonight per doctor.

@gregjrichards I watched the devastated husband on Cuomo too. Awful. I wish Chris’s show was live on FB so everyone hears him describe his symptoms.
They rerun his show on youtube every night. It's probably already posted.

I had this conversation with my physician Monday and glad to see this graphic by Colorado's Senator Garcia. Important to note that the result is the same when you are exposed -- even if the virus carrier is unaware they have the virus.

(1/4) The Governor just finished a very informative briefing on Colorado’s current COVID-19 containment efforts. Here’s what we learned:

Possibly a lot more will be able to on a permanent basis after this. Maybe you will be one.

During a meeting today, we heard that working from home in isolation for several months will permanently alter professional relationships - we peer into each other's homes with video conferencing software. I wonder if our physical isolation will change relationships on the internet as well.

I definitely prefer working from home and attending virtual meetings to being in a shared space with bored-manager overlourding and an absurd awareness of everybody's issues.

I posted this earlier but it’s worth repeating. This article has projections on what state will hit its peak when. I was right about my own state. I’m a little iffy on the projection for KY. But I’m certainly no expert.
The coronavirus outbreak won't peak in every state at once

My state is expected to peak 4/20. DC, where my son lives is 4/18. We have had about 100 new cases in my state in less than 24 hours. It is unreal how this virus is spreading and how there are so many different peak times.

I have noticed that the barking, growling and whimpers have been greatly reduced.

There is really no reason why I should have to go to an office except for a meeting .
I have been doing my work just fine for almost 3 weeks. The only difference is at the office I look better and spend more money eating out for lunch and getting my daily coffee and donut.

I think we need a coronavirus wall of shame. I love this store but if and when it reopens "legally"next time, I will never shop there again.

Hobby Lobby agrees to close Ohio stores after cease-and-desist letter

I'm also getting really tired of people having home remodeling parties and standing in line for paint at Home Depot. The grocery store parking lots are emptier than the Home Depot lot! That's not why the store was left open. They are essential in case plumbing, electric or heat break in your home!

I moved my law practice from NYC up to rural New England. We do everything remotely - down to electronic case filing in federal courts around the country. There are ways to do almost any professional/management job remotely now. We only set up an office up here because we wanted to be apart of the community. I have said for years this is the way to revitalize rural communities - get entrepreneurs to run businesses remotely. We bill our clients in NY and Boston and the money gets spent locally. You're bringing money into the community instead of just recirculating it.

I hope a lot of entrepreneur types use this time to think about how to move their businesses remotely. We can charge much lower rates not having to pay big-city rents while doing the exact same thing we were doing down there.

SS payments have not been interrupted, correct? So there is little covid financial impact to SS beneficiaries? In other words, they still receive their usual amount, as if there is no hideous virus?

SS payments have not been interrupted.

There is still serious financial impact to seniors. SS is subsistence living. You will not lead a happy life with only SS payments. Seniors who have saved their money, invested in 401k or 403b savings are seeing massive losses.

I wish people who are good at that type of thing and enjoy making them, would sell them online. I checked Ebay and no one is doing that.
Probably because we’re all still scrambling to provide medical staff with them. My conscience won’t allow me to sell mine, especially while our medical workers are still begging for them. This has seriously become a part time job for me. I usually spend around 4 hours a day on it and there are still medical workers in need. I’m now trying to put one aside for family for every 10 or so that I make for hospitals and rest homes.

They had them a few days back, I don’t know about now

Are SS checks enough to pay the bills under normal circumstances, or do people supplement the SS income by working parttime?

No. SS is not enough to pay the bills.

SS was intended to keep you from starving, and keep a roof, however marginal, over your head.

Some folks work part-time, some work full-time. Some of us saved for decades.

Great,Tysm! Boy, he makes it sound wicked, at least he’s well enough to do his show. He must be terrified after reporting so many deaths. And now, he’s alone in his basement, watching the clock slowly move.

I understand. My initial question was if SSA had halted payments, I thought I had missed news regarding SSA.
Fortunately, SS continues on.

I wonder if you might be a child of someone who went through WWII? I credit my parents with teaching me to be alert, and be prepared. They survived the war in the Netherlands. Dad said that they almost had to drag people to hiding because they simply wouldn't believe the danger they were in.

I was very close with grandmothers on both sides. They were both wonderful women, flawed in their own way. They taught me invaluable lessons. They live on, as I think of them often.
