Yeah we had the 2 shingle shots. It was the 2nd shot that put us both down for 1 day. Beats getting shingles tho right.Shingles shots - bedridden a week twice. Awful same reaction with both shots. But, if a vaccine will save me, I would take it.

tried to warn my dentist about this- he thought it was a joke or a political thing too.
problem with people posturing is that when there is a real crisis, no one believes it
until there are body bags at the curb. still cannot believe that institutions and retailers were not stock piling equipment and supplies. bought one bottle of hand sanitizer (do not like it because it is so drying) in early February and then it vanished from store shelves and on line.
A dear friend and I were watching the news together about 5 weeks ago. When I said, this is a pandemic and I've been stocking up. He blew me off, saying its not gonna get bad here. He did start stocking up within days and has at least 2 months supply. We discuss the virus regularly, never has he mention his original comments.
Last night, he said....you know with my age and health, I'll die for sure. We were both just silent. Its so sad....
Moo...

Exactly. I used to enjoy shopping too. But now it's like going to a war where you can be killed at any minute. There is absolutely nothing enjoyable about shopping now.
Even bringing items from car to house is daunting as well as timely.
I throw disposable gloves into trash, I don't leave them all over. Disposable is just more hygienic.FWIW, I wear regular rubber gloves- remove and put in a tray in the car- hand sanitize, and when I go home, wash my hands and the rubber gloves and the tray. You do have to be careful not to contaminate the inside of the gloves, but you make less trash. There was an article pleading with people not to leave disposable gloves and masks all over. I have seen some that do not make it to the trash can and then I imagine no one wants to pick them up.
Yes but for those who don't have disposable gloves these are a good alternative.I throw disposable gloves into trash, I don't leave them all over. Disposable is just more hygienic.

I think a lot of people adjust the facts to suit their needs. Some refuse to believe they will get it & their children could be transmitting it. I think the longer the lockdown continues, the more defiance we will see. As we discussed last evening, many people are bringing home more money now than they did by working. A large group will want this crisis to last forever, imo.I think well-meaning people were just overly optimistic.
Wow if they can work out why younger people are less susceptible to getting it badly they could have it resolved.NYC covid breakdown reveals the young are not invincible: People aged 18 to 44 account for over 40% of the city's confirmed coronavirus cases
Startling new data released by the city of New York has revealed that 40 percent of its positive coronavirus cases are aged between 18 and 44, disproving the widely held misconception that the young are immune to the deadly virus.
According to data released on Wednesday night, 556 per 100,000 people are within that age range and have the virus. The next worst affected group is people aged 45-64, who account for 783 per 100,000, then people aged between 65 and 75, who account for 798.
The hospitalization rate in younger people is less - only 50 per 100,000 of hospitalizations are aged between 18 and 44 and only two per 100,000 died - but it the data supports what Gov. Andrew Cuomo has been saying for weeks: that the 'selfish', 'reckless' young who think they are invincible are not, and that they can pass the virus on.

GM friend. I guess the only way would be with hand sanitizer. Be wary tho if there are cracks/creases in the gloves where virus can hide. This is just my opinion but bare hands might be safer as long as you follow all the guidelines and you have no other alternative.GM, Bravo...what is ur opinion about leather gloves? How would one disinfect them?
I’m not Bravo but do wear leather gloves often, usually as I do farm chores & often working horses. They don’t clean well, as you prob know. They get stiff. I do allow mine to get sun, idk if that helps.GM, Bravo...what is ur opinion about leather gloves? How would one disinfect them?

IMO based on early reports younger folks lungs are in much better shape. Smoother as they have not been exposed to all the pollutants, smoke etc. that most adults have.Wow if they can work out why younger people are less susceptible to getting it badly they could have it resolved.
