I don't think the writer's of the constitution of the United States were considering a world wide pandemic.
This is a game changer at the moment.
Life and death situations, that could change (life as we know it) should not depend on a document written by people in 1777. We are in 2020 and facing a humanitarian crisis.
To stop it, we need to stay home. Let's stop this *** virus, and deal with our freedoms when it has passed. Imo.

YES!!!

My Hairstylist has a plan to get colour to customers. I will do an e-transfer to pay. They will contact me with a pick up time. When they see me pull up they set product outside the door with instructions. I will take all precautions handling the bag. Not sure how it will turn out as I have 2 different glaze colours. It's my cut that's about to get interesting. It's rather intricate. Oh and my Hair guy and his husband live on the top floor of their establishment. It was a former Temple so no need to leave their home except to go downstairs. This could be interesting with the result :D

Don't forget to do a test on some strands of hair located underneath your top hair.

"WA records just three new coronavirus cases but COVID-19 restrictions to last at least six months - ABC News" WA records just three new coronavirus cases but COVID-19 restrictions to last at least six months - ABC News

Wow. These are tough restrictions from Western Australia. Borders closed for 6 months.

Western Australia has recorded another three cases of coronavirus in what Premier Mark McGowan says is the lowest daily increase since the state's testing regime began.

Key points:
  • Two of WA's three new COVID-19 cases had travelled on cruise ships
  • Premer Mark McGowan says WA is doing well but "the war isn't won"
  • He says WA's border closures will remain in place for a long time
It brings WA's total number of cases to 517, with 239 people having recovered from the virus.

All three new cases are West Australians living in the Perth metropolitan area, with two of the patients having travelled on cruise ships in the Mediterranean.

Latest information from the WA Health Department

Authorities are still investigating how the third person became infected.

The total number of West Australians who have been infected with COVID-19 stands at 449, with the remaining 68 cases involving overseas passengers and crew from the Artania cruise ship.

Mr McGowan said the low number of new cases was "unambiguously good news" and WA had "successfully flattened the curve".

But he said restrictions designed to limit the spread of the virus would remain in place for some time, indicating that would include WA's hard border closure.

"There's going to be restrictions in place at least for six months in one form or another," he said.

Border restrictions here 'for a long period of time'
Mr McGowan said the state and regional border closures, combined with the international restrictions on people travelling overseas, had been very effective.

How will WA's border closures work?

WA is closing its borders to the east for the first time in its history. Here's how you might be affected.

"I think the border restrictions are the most important things we've done to ensure that we create a fortress of Western Australia in which we are protected from infection from elsewhere," he said.

"They will certainly remain in place for a long period of time.

"Those things together [have] given Western Australia a lot of hope that we will continue to reduce the rate of infection.

"We will continue to review the measures within Western Australia — certainly not the borders, but the measures within Western Australia — on a monthly basis."

Cafe, restaurant rules may be among first reviewed
The Premier said the first of any potential changes to restrictions would be those which might allow people to return to work.

They included rules surrounding cafes and restaurants.

Kansas Supreme Court sides with Gov. Laura Kelly in fight over church crowds

TOPEKA — The Kansas Supreme Court on Saturday re-instated Gov. Laura Kelly’s ban on large church crowds by determining a Republican-led panel doesn’t have the power to overrule an executive order.

The unanimous decision means Kelly’s order limiting religious gatherings to no more than 10 individuals will be in effect for Easter Sunday services.

From the decision:

The court didn’t consider whether Kelly’s order infringes on religious freedom.

Good morning everyone and Happy Easter! My husband and I will have Easter dinner 2020 style. Baked potatoes smothered in canned chili and topped with shredded cheddar cheese. Paired with a vintage White Claw. :)

Haha... my grandmother told me my mother ordered ham from Omaha Steaks 2 weeks (!) ago, and I was filled with admiration at her foresight!

I myself have no idea what I'm going to eat for Easter dinner right now; but I have to come up with something, as my sister keeps asking me what it will be. Maybe pigs in blankets. ;). I think she's getting a share of the ham, in a porch handoff TBD.

I started following this thread closer when the pics started showing people in China being physically chased, captured and thrown into a white box shaped thingy hitched to a vehicle. Oh my goosh,,,,,the Hazmat Suited Dudes.

Then we saw people collapsed on the sidewalks in their business suits.

Yikes, we were due for a trip to the beach house......so..
March 6th I loaded up on TP....56 double rolls in all, dried and canned beans. Bought some salt pork . Corn bread mix. Glory seasoned southern style blackeye peas.yummy.
Meats n veg......etc etc.

March 7th we made our way down.
I scooped out some soil from last years pots.

I’ve been saving the coffee grounds, egg shells, potato peels and lint from the dryer.......etc.
I’m planting seeds I scavenged from my variety of peppers and 3 different tomatoes. Basil seed should be here Tuesday.

Back on our last trip here I had bought the sweetest cantaloupe I had ever tasted. It was so good I saved some seeds. Woot ! I hope I get a melon or two.

Happy holidays....stay safe

why are you saving dryer lint? (I don't garden normally)

U.S. government gave $3.7million grant to Wuhan lab that experimented on coronavirus source bats | Daily Mail Online

Interesting article. Some is information previously revealed by whistle blowers when the outbreak was first happening in China.

Thanks for this post... I certainly hope our Bat Lady is safe..in China. Sometimes these theories do really make sense and make you wonder. But will we ever really know? They seem to know quite a lot within China already...but they aren't going to share. It was those early whistleblowers that really got my attention early on.

Startups spar with FDA over what constitutes an at-home coronavirus test

According to the article, Vault Health and MicroGen DX look like they received FDA approval April 11th.
So, we could see increased private testing.

With MicroGen DX, it looks like physicians can order tests. Patients can order tests with an order from their physician. MicroGenDX will have the capacity to process 10,000 samples per day.
COVID-19 Testing | MicroGen Diagnostics

Can't tell about Vault Health?

Anyway, good news that the FDA is starting to be able to approve more testing.

CORONAVIRUS EMERGENCY: Dr. Todd Ellerin joins @tomllamasabc
to answer your coronavirus questions, including new reports from South Korea of some patients becoming re-infected with COVID-19 after recovering.

Dr. Tom Ellerin, infectious disease expert Boston area treating COVID patients

"Now with new developments concerning the coronavirus...

-South Korea is reporting cases of reinfection after a patient has recovered

-There is also talk from some experts of a so-called second round of the virus come this fall

"First of all, these are very sensitive tests, so patients often will remain positive after they are infected for 8-21 days after, that does not mean they are contagious for that long, we are still learning more about this, but it is more likely that they are contagious earlier in the course.

Now, As far as the second wave, this is important, this virus wants to infect more than 50% of the population, we think so far that likely less than 10% has been infected so we can't just rip the band aid off and let everyone out. We have to have a measured response as we think about opening the country"

I wont even attempt a garden. I kill cactus. I share air space with a plant and it dies. Husband cares for the 2 plants we have. It would frustrate me to no end. Kudos to those of you taking it on and those of you who have been doing it before all the crazy.

Yea, it's been posted. But while this woman might have not left her house in 3 weeks, she had an unfortunate luck to have a woman who later tested positive for covid to bring her groceries one time. So it's not exactly a mystery how she got infected.
So which is less risky?
Having a neighbor with no symptoms leave groceries at the doorstep?
Or mask up and go to the store?

PLAINVIEW, Nassau County (WABC) -- Doctors on Long Island are using some decades-old medication with promising results in fighting the novel coronavirus.

Dr. Ryan Saadi, of Quantaira Health, partnered with Dr. Muhammad Alam and Dr. Imtiaz Ahmad at Plainview Hospital using the much-talked-about hydroxychloroquine combined with the antibiotic doxycycline.

The combination therapy was administered to dozens of high-risk COVID-19 patients at three long term care facilities on Long Island. They say most of those patients have now fully recovered.

Although impressive, not everyone completed the therapy with positive results.

Out of 54 patients with a median age of 67, nine of them did not complete the six-day therapy due to side effects, a hospital transfer, and three of them died.

The results of the small group study were submitted to a major medical journal for review. A total of 45 COVID-19 patients did complete the combination therapy successfully and clinically recovered.
