How sad is this though? It's Friday night and the world is sitting around getting educated on nasal swabs.
It could be worse.
We could be listening to a presentation on rectal swabs....

(CNN)Beaches and parks in Jacksonville, Florida, reopened Friday afternoon as more states consider easing restrictions put in place to battle the coronavirus pandemic.
Crowds at Jacksonville Beach cheered when the barriers came down on the beach, according to CNN affiliate WJXT.
Beaches will be open from 6 to 11 a.m. and from 5 to 8 p.m. daily with some restrictions, according to Jacksonville's website. Recreational activities such as running, biking, hiking and swimming will be permitted during this soft reopening, the city's website said.
Activities such as sunbathing or any type of group activity will not be allowed at beaches during the restricted hours and items like towels, blankets, chairs, coolers and grills will not be permitted on the beach.

This is interesting, NHK uses powerful cameras to detect droplets from sneezing, coughing and talking loudly
My state has beaches in the south end and they are thinking of opening the beaches very soon. I understand that tourists generate a lot of funds but geez it is too scary to think about.
I love the beach but I sure as heck am not going.
Powdered wheat grass and nasal swabs......You girls sure do know how to "Party."....LOL !..... Runawaaaay !....mooThe other day I was chatting with the guy on the phone at the liquor store while placing an order and asked if they’ve been busy. He said they were absolutely swamped with people getting their stimulus checks. It seems booze was first on the list for many lol.
As for me, I have 3 beers left in the fridge that I now call my “liquid gold”. I am going to try to save them until my birthday in a few months. I doubt they'll last that long but I’m sure going to try.
I’m drinking some powdered wheat grass right now. Woohoo
Well they've set up temporary hospitals, maybe they'll set up temporary schools in order to social distance? In Ohio they had special day care provided for medical personnel' children. They were set up so each child was always at least 6 feet apart.I think we all know exactly how the swab test is conducted. IMO there are more important things to discuss. My biggest question in a slow return to work is what are these Parents going to do for child care.
Ladies if u must pee in a bush this summer have a looky loo first. I was camping as a teen and did so in the dead of night. End result was there was barely a spot on my body that didn't have poison ivy. I was one day away from being hospitalized as the Dr. feared it going into my eyes. It didn't but it was awful. Had a bunch of shots, pills and creams. Sooo that's my public service announcement lol
They obviously haven’t read the Scripps report. (Grabbing for reference)

UC San Diego virus expert pleads with surfers to stay out of the ocean to avoid coronavirus
—-
““I wouldn’t go in the water if you paid me $1 million right now,” she said.
The beach, in her estimation, is one of the most dangerous places to be these days, as the novel coronavirus marches silently across California.”
[...]
“Prather fears that SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, could enter coastal waters in similar ways and transfer back into the air along the coast.
In her research, Prather has found that the ocean churns up all kinds of particulate and microscopic pathogens, and every time the ocean sneezes with a big wave or two, it sprays these particles into the air. She believes that this new coronavirus is light enough to float through the air much farther than we think. The six-feet physical distancing rule, she said, doesn’t apply at the beach, where coastal winds can get quite strong and send viral particles soaring.”
[...]
“In the eyes of California health officials, beaches pose a health threat by drawing large crowds of people who will congregate too closely and trigger a chain of infections.”
