I just heard on TV that "Covid Toes" are blue........Of course you can hear anything on TV nowadays.....mooNever had to worry about what I ate before. See, I was way underweight before I quit smoking and ended up in the hospital almost four years ago. Now I have trouble breathing and I'm plump. So happy I quit. I feel fine, butI do have a red, maybe a Covid Toe.

Coronavirus: FDA approves new testing materials, Ohio’s test capacity to increase
Gov. Mike DeWine on Tuesday said the federal Food & Drug Administration approved the manufacture of a new reagent — a crucial step that will dramatically increase Ohio’s capacity to test people for coronavirus infections by mid-May.
Massachusetts-based Thermo Fisher Scientific received the go-ahead Monday to produce a second version of its Mag MAX reagent and manufacture more of the instruments needed to process samples, Thermo Fisher spokesman Ron O’Brien said.
DeWine and Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton have said a rationing of reagents has held Ohio and other states back from being able to test more people.

If this could work it would seem a very hopeful treatment. Of course though, it will require the US to truly be able to do all the testing that thus far have only been pretty much empty promises...

Not sure my mind can be eased. The facts about testing seems all over the place at this point. No, I don't have any other symptoms, just a red patch on my big toe for two weeks.
What will the testing tell me? That I had Covid-19 and don't have it now? If I have the antibodies is that a guarantee I won't get it again?
Should I feel guilty going out for essentials in my mask with a red toe? What are 'COVID toes' and why are dermatologists seeing an 'epidemic' of them in kids?

Covid Toes are usually red, but maybe some are blue depending on the skin tone. I only have one red patch on my big toe. There's some pictures here at this link.

Oh boy, I followed a case extensively on here where a woman chiropractor was poisoned with colchicine by her woman office assistant. Her son's longtime gf decided to poison her.

Such weird sh*t, this disease. I mean, every week there's either a new symptom we're just hearing about, some new and horrible information about how and what it ravages, or how it hides and/or persists.
Sometimes it seems straight out of a Stephen King novel.
Don't know about "Covid Toes" but I've had Covid-hair for some time, and now have come down with Covid-belly. Goes with my potty-mouth.

DH (53), came back from his work this week (in Tennessee), with what he said was/is a sinus infection. No fever, coughing, sneezing and congested. He works in construction at the hospitals. So I found a drive through testing site nearby, called on Saturday, made the earliest appointment and he went this morning. We didn’t have to call our Dr. and with insurance it cost $20. He’ll get results in 3 days.
He’s sleeping in the guest room, and using that bathroom most of the time.
Just wanted to post so others know that we had a very easy time here in Northern Illinois getting a Covid test. I’ll update as soon as we hear.

Is anyone else beginning to think or talk about, with co-workers or boss, what going back to work is going to look like for your place of work?
We honestly don't know when we will actually open again, and we're trying to get creative on ways we can serve the public while still technically being closed. But we're also starting to discuss what it will look like when we do open to the public.
We know we will wear masks. I'm going to suggest that we put a recommendation out that the public also wear masks. I'm also going to suggest limiting the numbers in groups, because we can't become the summer teen hang-out that we usually are. I think we're putting tape on the floor to distance people from the front desk.
But mostly I'm also thinking about how we will social distance from each other in such a small space. I've realized how close we get when working. My boss kept having to stop himself from hanging over my shoulder while I dealt with a problem on the computer today. He's used to doing that. It's just how he is. Every interaction he and I had today was one of us beginning to do something and then coming to a halt because we aren't supposed to be that near each other now. We're afraid of killing each other or being killed by each other accidentally if one of us is asymptomatic.
The week before we shut down, I was trying to distance more from my co-worker, and it was difficult. I found myself at one point leaning up against the filing cabinet, telling him a funny story from two feet away. I quickly moved myself. But I realized how much our interactions would have to change.
My boss and I also used to bring food in occasionaly for the others - home-made desserts or muffins from our own homes. Now I'm wondering if that is even advisable.
Just so much stuff that will have to change.

This is good to know. I'm not sure it's that easy in my rural area in Illinois, but hopefully that will change.
