Although some of the tribal are more anti-tobacco than some establishments in Arizona that are just regular restaurants.

The only Cali casino I spent much time in, in the past few years, is Chumash in Santa Ynez. There is so much smoke in there. And they used to allow 18 yr olds into to gamble. I am not sure if they still do.

Except of course, a lot of other people with a known condition depend on it to stay alive. Now they don't have it.

Other than malaria, is it used to stay alive, or to ameliorate symptoms? I know it's used to treat RA (maybe lupus, too) but I didn't think it was life saving for those uses.

From the point of view of an anthropologist, this will activate certain principles of what we now called the Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium Equation.

Let's say that several (overlapping on a Venn diagram) groups go to this. All ages, patriotic, Trump-listening, Airforce-loving, SOCIAL, CROWD LIKING, and some people who just like airplanes (but they could stay outside the crowd - as some always do).

What a great place to see if CoVid is seasonal, right? Airshows near where I live easily attract 10,000 people into a packed crowded. Shared portapotties. No running water. Hand sanitizer doesn't really do a good job and people will be yelling and breathing in each others' faces. A bunch of asymptomatic people will be there, shedding.

Yes, this is right inline with the plan from Mayor Deblasio in NYC to have a Ticker Tape Parade in NYC, to celebrate the healthcare heroes of NYC.

Great plan. Maybe this can be coordinated with a Memorial Day service. Or possibly Fourth of July celebration.

Lupus can be deadly, so yes, treatment for lupus is life-saving. Lupus can attack the kidneys, the lungs, and other body parts crucial to living.

Also, if you have to crawl through your house without plaquenil, but with plaquenil can actually walk and function, that’s a bit more than just to ameliorate your symptoms.

That is normally true but I think this legislation included a new rule where you could just declare you can't go back to work do to the virus (to take care of child home from school, etc.) and you can stay on unemployment even after turning down job offer.

Great. No wonder my daughter is literally getting pounded into the ground eight hours a day. Hardly anyone wants to work. So, she is doing the work of four people right now. And making much less money than people who are at home collecting unemployment insurance benefits.

Here's a thought on testing positive after recovering from the corona virus - I test positive on TB tests. I do not have TB, nor did I ever. I was told the reason I test positive is because I was exposed to someone with the disease and this is true, my stepfather had it. My SIL also had the same odd test results for the same reason, although a different relative in his case. I'm wondering if testing positive after recovery could POSSIBLY be for the same reason.

I'm not a medical person at all, just found the positive TB tests and the positive corona tests interesting.

If there has been a prior exposure, antibodies are formed and remain in the body. During the skin test, the tuberculosis antigen is injected under the skin and if antibodies are present, the body will have an immune response. These corona virus tests being referred to are testing for the antigen/viral particles MOO

Later decided to go to my storage unit in the building to get my earthquake preparedness bag to see what goodies I might have there. Opened it to discover I am the proud owner of 6 N95 masks ... worth their weight in gold !!

Mum’s the word! We have N-95’s in our disaster kits too plus some left over from wildfire smoke two summers ago. One advantage to living in earthquake/wildfire/you-name-it country!

From Johns Hopkins regarding anti-malarial drugs for lupus.

These medications may also prevent lupus from spreading to certain organs, such as the kidney and central nervous system (your brain and spinal cord) and may help to reduce flares by as much as 50%. Plaquenil and other anti-malarials are the key to controlling lupus long term, and some lupus patients may be on Plaquenil for the rest of their lives. For this reason, you can think of anti-malarials as a sort of “lupus life insurance.”

Treating Lupus with Anti-Malarial Drugs : Johns Hopkins Lupus Center

ETA Studies have shown lupus patients on anti-malarials actually live longer than those who are not, and these medications are usually prescribed when someone is first diagnosed with the disease.

Here's something that will hopefully uplift your spirits. It's 5-year-old Emilie playing her favorite song with her dad. Emilie has a special message at the end.

You mention cleaning. What do you think about yardwork? Is it ok to go out in your yard and plant a garden or paint your shed? How bout indoor repairs? Is it ok to lay some tile in the bathroom or replace a door knob that broke?

Why do I ask?
BECAUSE THE GOVERNOR OF MY STATE WON'T LET STORES SELL ANY HOUSE, TOOL,
PAINT GARDENING SUPPLIES ETC..

Well, I can buy alcohol and lottery tickets!

Governor Whitmer’s stay-at-home order is considered one of the most restrictive in the nation. Along with prohibiting garden centers and plant nurseries, the order prohibits the sale of carpeting, flooring, furniture, and paint. It also blocks Michiganders from using motorboats and vacation properties.

Michigan's stay-at-home order "decimating" for garden centers - Brownfield Ag News

Amy Upton tells Brownfield no plant sales are allowed in Michigan, and thousands of vegetable and flower plants are being thrown out or composted. She says, “I talked to one greenhouse grower that sells Easter lilies. They threw out $125,000 worth of Easter lilies. They dumped them. He said they’re in a big pile behind the greenhouse.

Go to your local Ace Hardware, if you have one. The ban on sales of garden supplies and paint is only at the big box stores that are 50,000 SQ FT or greater, such as Walmart and Meijers. ACE stores are only 10,000 SqFt and so they are open with their normal inventory. You can buy some things online and pick up at the store to minimize your time there:
Paint, Lawn and Garden sales continue at Ishpeming Ace Hardware

Sigh ... arguing over hydroxychloroquine, lupus, etc. took up the last two pages. Move on from that discussion and stop the back and forth arguing. State your opinion, don't argue, and let it go. Nobody is here to hammer their opinions and beliefs on other members.

Thank you.

Thank you from a Mom and Pop restaurant, that has owned 4 locations over 30 years in So. California.
All paid for cash with hard earned money.
No investors, no bank loans.
About a gift from God, would have been the $10,000. Forgivable Bond.
We applied immediately. No response, no money and neither of us have got the $1,200.00.
We have got zip.
Currently, we owe our landlord, the IRS, sales tax, and vendors.
It's a cascading wave.
I really care about our vendors.
With that said, I have no idea what we will do.
The lack of help is soul crushing.
Edited to add.
I have never hated politicians more then I do right now.
MOO.
Kali, you may have said this previously, but I'll never be able to catch up with the reading here- my question: Have you contacted your local government rep. yet regarding both your stimulus checks and getting a loan from the SBA now that the additional legislative bill has been passed?
We're in NYS and received the stimulus deposits on the actual day the Treasury Dept. said people would, although they did make it clear that those receiving paper checks in the mail would have a bit longer wait. I know those folks who have gone online to check on their stimulus have been successful in getting info.
I mention contacting your local state govt. rep. because we did that ourselves, via FB messaging, and got an immediate response from our NYS Assemblyman. He and his office are doing what they can to help us with the huge mess NYS's unemployment system is in. Supposedly it was "fixed," but it hasn't been. We are not the only one's suffering re: getting our claim finalized and getting some help. I totally empathize.

Good picture in this article of Covid Toes.

Yep, I still have my one big Covid Toe with one rectangle red patch on the skin below the toenail. It doesn't hurt or itch. I feel fine and I have no symptoms, so I don't know what to make of my toe. Sure, it could be some other condition causing it, but it showed up coincidently right when the virus did. I don't know if calling my doctor at this time might be useless.

Doctors say 'COVID toes' may be symptom of coronavirus, especially in youth
