I wouldn't want to live in Iceland. It's dark for half the year. Oz and NZ are great.
Oh my gosh, I LOVE Iceland. I spent two years there. Don't get me wrong - Oz and NZ are great too, but there is something about Iceland...

This new syndrome has symptoms such as foot blisters, skin rashes that a parent may not recognize as tied to Covid-19. A child with the flu has obvious symptoms. sThere is also flu vaccine and medications such as Theraflu. I don't believe it is "absurd" for the media to alert the public about these cases. They aren't inventing facts.

Healthy people under the age of 50 are also getting Covid-19 and getting very sick and close to death.

He ran marathons and was fit. So why did Covid-19 almost kill him? - STAT
Never heard of Actemra before. Need to look that up. We don't know the answer why COVID affected him so badly. Puzzling.

I thought posters would be interested in some good news. If there is no second wave, that's great news isn't it?
No second wave would absolutely be great news and I'll be the first one dancing in the streets if that comes to pass. Do I think it likely? No. Do I fervently hope so? Yes.

Yea, it will miraculously disappear. Now, where did I hear that before?
SARS and MERS and H1N1 and Swine Flu probably.

There's no harm in hoping and it's free. I am going to have a deeper look at the Singapore data.

That's not news. They are using "modeling" to claim it will disappear. You can make your model to do whatever you want. And covid models have been all over the place.

Tocilizumab (Actemra)

Tocilizumab blocks the inflammatory protein IL-6. This improves joint pain and swelling from arthritis and other symptoms caused by inflammation.

So like Hydroxy?

Who's to say they are wrong though? Nobody knows what the virus is going to do. This is the model I like anyway. You can choose the model you like.

Oh I like it, I just don't believe it.

I'm leaning towards leaving the US altogether until it gets its act together.

Iceland, New Zealand and Australia all seem like reasonable bets and I like all three of them pretty much equally. I don't know if any of them are issuing visas to Americans at the moment though. I probably wouldn't if I were them, but one can hope.
Dang, I looooove Charleston. So much good eating....sigh.

Keep an eye on this - 7 days from the 20th for symptoms to show. Presumably those customers are all quarantined for now.
And so on it goes (and goes and goes and goes).

Even if residents are transported to other health facilities, those facilities and their workers also have a duty to implement safe guards such as PPE and self-isolating at home. It doesn't require any additional money to self-isolate in one's own home. Their employer has a duty to protect the patients as well as other staff. There really is no excuse.

Fearing COVID-19 spread to families, health care workers self-isolate at home
"The least you could do is stay home so that we, too, can go home to our loved ones one day,” Dr. Tim Cheng posted on social media.

Forrest Preston
In 2016, the company agreed to pay $145 million to settle a government lawsuit alleging that the firm had over-billed federal healthcare programs.

Lots of health care workers have to self isolate at a hotel because they can't go home for fear of bringing covid to pregnant wives, elderly parents, vulnerable family members.

Hope dies last.
So you don't believe in Hydroxy or modelling, what about Actemra that cured Dr. Fiske seemingly miraculously? Is that any good do you think? What about the HIV meds and Remdesivir? Ventilators or CPAP? Zinc plus vitamins etc etc. Proning. All of the above.

So everyone had on masks.
Wonder if they had a sink at each station?
Shared bathroom? Coffee area?
I would like to know more about how they think it was transmitted.
Did they do temp checks?
Mild symptoms - curious to know what those were too.
