Give it 3 weeks and see if he's still alive....?

Of course if he’s that careless, he could pick it up somewhere else within those three weeks or after. When people show you who they are, believe them the first time. I would not go to that hairdresser. Mine isn’t back at work yet, as the salon she works at is closed, but I wouldn’t go to her...she has kids (one works), a husband who works and I doubt she takes it seriously.

They are such a sweet and caring couple.:)

Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter pose in face masks and call on the public to save lives - KEYT | KCOY

Former President Jimmy Carter and former first lady Rosalynn Carter on Saturday urged the American people to “please wear a mask to save lives” as the country continues to battle the deadly coronavirus.

The couple’s Atlanta-based charity, the Carter Center, posted a photo on Twitter Saturday of the pair wearing white masks printed with the center’s logo. The picture was paired with the straightforward plea.

Carter, a Democrat, has before appealed to the public to do its part during the pandemic. In March, the former president asked donors to “forgo (their) next gift” to the Carter Center and instead support local groups working to ease the “suffering caused” by the pandemic.

The Carters established the Carter Center in 1982 in Atlanta, with initiatives that include fighting diseases in developing countries. One of the key accomplishments of the Carter Center is the near-eradication of Guinea worm disease from an estimated 3.5 million cases in 1986 to 54 provisional cases in 2019.

I wish I could “love” this post because I do. President Carter is the best!

i have a dilemma--i love my hair stylist but IMO he did something
reckless- he took a plane trip to North Carolina to visit a relative--
he took precautions--gloves,mask and even goggles-- tbe plane
was not full-- so he goes back to work the day after getting off the
plane-- to my way of thinking he is putting his co workers at risk
and his clients--at least for a period of 2 weeks-- i would not onsider
going to the sa!on for 2 weeks after he got off that plane--dont even
know if 2 weeks is enough time to be safe. i read things that 5 epidemiologists
wouldnt do, and that list included flying--- i have really lousy hair but
he makes it look as good as is possible-- what do ya all think?
Too many variables.
Did he fly into a smaller airport?
Was it an emergency visit?
Just a quick go check on mom/dad type of trip?
*no family gathering, no get together at the beach/lake, skipped the visit to brewery while he was there?

For me, the sense of responsibility is immense. I'm not some kind of do-gooder saint, just a regular worryguts. My parents live 10 mins drive away but I've only seen them twice since March, from their driveway. I'm so anxious that I might somehow still be contagious, because I feel it lingering. Also I havent had the antibody test. When I feel confident in that, and can arrange it, I will have it.

They have food delivered and arent feeling lonely or anything. I think we're getting near to the time when I might feel ok about going to their garden, with masks and me bringing my own drink. Our county vale, pop approx 100k, reported two new cases last week. I dont know. At some point, we have to take a little step forward here but I'm so apprehensive.

Oh. I hope you do manage to go and to sit in the garden with your parents.

Dont know if it was a small airport--not an emergency visit
it was a social visit with his sister-- sister's boyfriend was
also there and they went out on her boat-i dont think they
dined out but i dont know for sure-- before he left i did
suggest to him that there is exposure taking a plane

Oh Tabitha... I am so sorry you worried. I have a great niece who just turned 21 who also goes everywhere. She was at my parent’s house this morning visiting my 87 yo parents (who finally caught on and are being careful now). My mom was discharged yesterday from a 2 week hospital stay after breaking her hip. I know my parents were happy to see her but my first though was the covid risk. My sister, her grandparents, have a beach house in Florida and they also have been back and forth this summer. My sister asked me to go with them in a couple of weeks. I just can’t.... I don’t want covid nor do I want to pass it on the anyone, my parents first and foremost. It is so frustrating...like walking in a mine field.

Some people just dont get it i guess

Yeah......nope. I'm sure your hair is lovely.

ETA: I've been in a high pony for weeks. People will just have to deal with it.

to my way of thinking he isnt showing concern for his colleagues or his
customers--- or enough concern for his own health--it seems out of
character for him and he is in his 60s as well

Cuomo says Northeast will likely see rise in COVID-19 cases due to surge in other parts of country

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) on Friday warned that the resurgence of the coronavirus pandemic in the South and on the West Coast could lead to the virus once again finding a foothold in the Northeast.

"You're going to see our numbers and the Northeast numbers probably start to increase because the virus that you see now in the South and the West — California has real trouble — it's going to come back here," Cuomo said in a radio interview. "It is going to come back here. It's like being on a merry-go-round. It's totally predictable. And we're going to go through an increase. I can feel it coming. And it is so unnecessary and so cruel."

Yes, I have a friend and spouse who are in denial. They own a small store too. Someone is running the store for ten days while they drive to and through KS, MO, TN and AL.

The husband said he is rebelling and refuses to wear a mask. He said he will pin the mask to his shirt and say “See I am wearing it”.

Meanwhile, wife said she has gone back and forth to Colorado and never got sick and none of her clients have either. Her doctor told her if she felt fine she could work at their store. The doctor said they do not have to self quarantine even thought CO and KS have issued orders through out Covid. What a doctor!

Meanwhile, the husband also drives a school bus and said he is not wearing a mask. He is going to say and do the ‘pin this mask to the shirt’. Many people have told him he will lose his job. His reply, he won’t just wait and see.

To make matters worse they let their 9 month grand baby crawl around the dirty store floor and be held by anyone who wants to.

They do as they want. They won’t listen to anyone...ages mid to late 50’s. With KS having stricter mask requirements, there is an unknown group that have gone around the town observing business that are in violation and turning them into the authorities.

Violations are not making customers/ clients wear a mask, staff not wearing a mask, having more people in the store then allowed, and not wiping the public areas down. I have no idea who the unknown group is but they did get several business violating the rule in the beginning of Covid.

When the couple come back from their trip, I along with others will not be going into the store for 3 weeks....at least.

I hope no one gets sick, but this couple will only learn by the “school of hard knocks”. I hope their grand baby does not get sick too....an innocent little one. A person can only ‘carry wolf’ so many times and then the worse happens.

Why can people not listen. They say forcing them to wear a mask violates their freedom.....will what about the rest of us who wear a mask. Our freedoms are being violated by these non mask people.

I am in that group of people who have to be extra careful. I am allergic to all medications with sulfa, sulfate, sulfite, iodine, and penicillin in it. You would not believe where Sulfas can be found in things. So if I get sick, a medication can cause my death. I am not the only one either!

why are people so stupid! Thanks for listening and everyone stay safe.

I've been going to the same person for 25 years at least. I love her to pieces but I'm not going anytime soon either. She's kind of a free spirit and she has a young son. I just don't see her as being as cautious as I need her to be to feel any kind of comfortable. By the time I am ready to see her I might not have any more hair left, though, it's getting so thin.

When the virus outbreak returns to NY & NJ, stuff is really going to hit the fan.

I just scissor cut my bestie bros curly hair,
It will do for now, for him, because hairdresser is a 7 on the risk factor chart and we'd rather only assume risk factor 1 to 3.

It's discretionary, ilw.

They have sacrificed A LOT. To be over-run again by states that did the bare minimum has to be soul-crushing. jmo
