Do you have a link to the pandemic playbook. It would be interesting to see what it says if it is a fact.actually a pandemic has been expected by epidemiologists for quite a while. That is why there was a playbook left by prior administrations for all subsequent administrations, so they would be prepared: there was also a Pandemic task force (or whatever they were called) which was disbanded by Trump- this is NOT A POLITICAL MESSAGE: just a fact. I will leave it at that.
One school is consulting with the parents to see what they want to do.
I have blacked out the school's name for privacy reasons. A friend of mine posted the school's notice to parents.

It is that easy actually. During the next round of coronavirus relief package discussions this month, congress can simply invoke the Spending Clause and deny aid to states that do not meet certain conditions. A declared public health emergency certainly exceeds the threshold for "the general welfare of the country."Thanks for this perspective.
I think the Supreme Court would have to decide. Can you imagine how bogged down that would get.
Many people don’t understand federalism and the division of powers. The federal government cant’t force laws upon the states. It’s not that easy. Thus the pickle we are in.
Let’s not forget the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
My friend also expressed her fear for the teachers, even though she is not a teacher. In smaller communities, and grouped townships where the children attend the same school, I think many people personally know the teachers outside of school.
Here’s what I would like to say to those politicians who don’t want to mandate the wearing of masks. Please tell your constituents the following: “The Covid-19 pandemic is real and many people are dying. If you are a good patriotic American who wants to do the right thing during a national crisis, you must wear a mask. I’m certain that all good Americans will find this a small price to pay in order to ensure the health and future prosperity of our great nation.” This is just my humble opinion and suggestion and MOO.
This is the least that those who run our government should do. It does not involve all that much. Let’s stop the wishy-washy, “It could be a good idea to wear a mask.” IMO
Also, this is not a mandate, just changing the narrative away from those who think only wimps wear masks.
Thanks for this perspective.

Hi dixie. Not daily pressers anymore. A few times a week now and Premier Doug Ford (Ont.) speaks when information needs to be relayed.@Bravo , is your PM still giving daily pressers on such?
Others, is Cuomo still giving pressers on such?
I followed and then went away from this for a month, and I don't even know. I followed daily for months...
I don't see links for such being posted anymore, so I assume have stopped. Such a shame if so that they aren't taking place.
I don't think that denying aid during a pandemic is a good idea because it will harm innocent people who are following the recommedations along with the ones who are not.It is that easy actually. Dianne Feinstein has already written such an amendment to the next bailout bill. Easy peasy.
Calif. Sen. Feinstein wants to deny coronavirus money to states that don't require masks

Not sure if this information has been posted yet . . .
Israeli Data Show School Openings Were a Disaster That Wiped Out Lockdown Gains
Of 1,400 Israelis diagnosed with COVID-19 last month, 657 (47 percent) were infected in schools. Now 2,026 students, teachers, and staff have it, and 28,147 are quarantined.
JERUSALEM—Israel’s unchecked resurgence of COVID-19 was propelled by the abrupt May 17 decision to reopen all schools, medical and public-health officials have told The Daily Beast.
“We know Israelis have terrible discipline, but now, it’s the leadership. ”
— Galia Rahav, Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv
The assessment of Israel’s trajectory has direct bearing on the heated debate underway in the United States between President Donald Trump, who is demanding a nationwide reopening of schools for what appear to be largely political reasons, and health authorities who caution it could put the wider population at risk.

And as it was known about since April apparently. Presumably Dr. Fauci and other CDC knew it was coming down since April IMO. Also, the hospitals can report to the state and they upload the data as far as it was explained on the last thread. Not sure who or if the ball was dropped but I thought this was all resolved. Apparently not ?
