yep I've been talking about it (for myself) but my husband won't even discuss it with me
not a chance IMO
are they not reading the news??
Ontario's 2nd wave of COVID-19 forecast to peak in October
I hate to say it, but I think there are quite a few people who do not read any news about covid.
Nor does a 'peak' mean much to some. They are numbed from the covid death figures they have been seeing for months.
It is a pandemic, one of the most significant events that may happen in our own lifetimes, and yet too many people seem to have just basically switched it off in their minds.
Other than remembering to slip on a mask when they walk into the grocery store (in that area).
IMO
Yeah, but there are countless wonderful, caring people who are in that age range. There's got to be something more behind his thinking than just lack of concern for his constituents. There's a photo in the news report linked below, showing him holding a chart with the "survival rates" by age group.
He is deceiving the people.

Wonder why he’s mentioning this six months later? Stigma? Too personal?
Warnings Issued as Virus Cases Rise in New York

New Jersey too, specifically Ocean County. *sigh*
AND WE'VE BEEN SO GOOD!!![]()
It was over a 7 week period. The daughter had no taste and couldn't eat for almost 2 weeks. The mother was in IVs for 10 days and had no taste.I’m glad they are doing well in their recovery!
I hope the other sister is doing well also.
Makes me think - I’m going to make sure that I have emergency numbers posted in the house somewhere - perhaps a neighbor, church contact, ex, someone that would be able to assist with groceries, food, etc.
That’s a lot of weight to lose in a short amount of time!
Good job. We did the same a few years ago and we're in better shape than ever. I really struggled with relearning how to cook and eat but it was worth it. I'm really glad we transitioned before Covid got here.I have always cooked from scratch 98% of what we eat, even when the kids were younger- and lived here. I now have eliminated bread, white potatoes, and pasta on the advice of hubby's MD. Meat, veggies, fruit, eggs. ( intolerance to casein, so Almond milk and very hard cheeses for cooking, etc.) Almond or coconut flours on occasion. Everyone's weight and blood pressure are much better. Supplements D, Zinc, Magnesium, A, and B.. Our health insurance doesn't cover WLS

Just hearing about this on our morning TV news .......
Disney is laying off 28,000 employees as pandemic hammers its theme parks
The cuts will affect the Disney's Parks, Experiences and Products unit. The company said 67% of the employees laid off will be part-time workers.
Disney's parks and resorts division has more than 100,000 US employees.
Disney's theme parks shut down globally this spring as the pandemic hit, dealing a huge blow to the company's bottom line. The company's profit dropped a whopping 91% during the first three months of 2020.
Josh D'Amaro, the chairman of Disney (DIS) Parks, said the staffing cuts were necessary because of the "prolonged impact" of coronavirus on business. That included "limited capacity due to physical distancing requirements and the continued uncertainty regarding the duration of the pandemic."

DH and I got ours on August 31, the earliest we have ever done that. I'm a bit concerned that we did it too soon but we were getting anxious and our friends were getting their shots. And we had a notice on "MyChart" from our health care system to get flu shots.
Of course the efficacy of flu shots vary each year in how protective they are; I hope this year's shot will be a good one!
