Yes, they do need that. But first the whole country needs the virus to be suppressed. IMO
If you don't get the virus suppressed, these businesses will continue to struggle as people avoid them, as people grow sick, as people die.
This has gone on for way too long now, and businesses are falling by the wayside all over the place there.
Unfortunately it’s a battle to get people to wear a mask - even now with the horrific numbers. Suppressing the virus is still a long way off in the US. The family business will be a thing of the past by time the mass general public gets a vaccine. I think for a healthy person with no major health issues under 60 years old - the time was June of next year that a vaccine would be available.
It’s quite depressing to contemplate. JMO

My husband and I consciously try to order out food at least twice a week to a local restaurant. Our favorite local Chinese place is doing booming business, with neatly lined brown bags of yummy hot Chinese food. It was over an hour to get our food, that is how busy they are. No dine in, take out only.

Doing our part to keep local business here.

LOS ANGELES (KCAL/KCBS) - A family is in mourning after a 33-year-old mother from Detroit died from COVID-19 shortly after giving birth to a healthy baby boy.

Erika Becerra, 33, was 8 months pregnant when was diagnosed with COVID-19 in November. She was taken to a Detroit hospital, a city she had recently moved to for her husband’s job.

“She’s all like, ‘Mom, I don’t feel good. I don’t feel like myself. It’s hard to breathe,’” said Becerra’s brother, Michael Avilez. “The weekend came along. The doctor saw she wasn’t getting any better. They gave birth to her son.”

Becerra’s labor was induced Nov. 15, and she gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Diego Antonio Becerra.

“She had a normal labor. She gave birth to her son but didn’t get to hold him because right after she gave birth, that’s when they put the tube in. Then, from there, she just started declining,” Avilez said.

Avilez and his family rushed to Detroit from Los Angeles, where Becerra grew up, to be by her side. She had no underlying conditions, other than pregnancy.

Start with a fine for the event center (or wherever it was held) plus the people that signed the contract and attendees.

We can assume that he was most infectious on Wed/Th/Fri if he started having symptoms on Saturday..... MOO

He was mostly recently at the Georgia Capitol in Atlanta on Thursday to attend a Georgia state Senate hearing on the November election. During a break in the hearing, Giuliani removed the mask he was wearing to greet and take pictures with supporters.
He traveled to Michigan on Wednesday for a state House committee hearing that lasted four and a half hours, during which he was maskless as he pushed misleading claims that the election was stolen from Trump.
At the beginning of the week, Giuliani was in Arizona Monday, meeting with some GOP members of the state's legislature to discuss unsubstantiated allegations that the election was fraudulent.

Yep, he's gotta get the monoclonal antibody quick, and then the Remdisivir for 5 days... He's got connections to get things which aren't available to others yet ;) (and before he has to go on COBRA in 6 weeks :p)

I wish him good health and a quick and complete recovery.

let's hope that all the photo and "meet and greet" people were with him less than 15 mins... these folks really live dangerously and the rest of us, hiding out, hand sanitizing and hoping for the vaccine, pay for their advanced medical care :(

Gloves / the potential new PPE shortage and item in high demand, especially with mass vaccinations on the horizon:

To lead CDC, Biden picks Rochelle Walensky

“Walensky, who is also a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and an expert on AIDS and HIV, will be tasked with rebuilding a critical health agency that has been sidelined by the Trump administration amid a pandemic.

Walensky will replace Robert Redfield, who assumed the role of director in March 2018, and take a top role in helping the Biden administration curtail the coronavirus pandemic.“

[...]

“In the Biden administration, the CDC will take on a much larger and public role, with plans to revive regular media briefings and give a central role to career officials who have been pushed aside by President Donald Trump. Biden and his advisers have emphasized that they want to prioritize scientists over politics in responding to the pandemic.

On Friday, the CDC recommended for the first time that people wear masks at all times when they’re not home. That guidance echoes Biden’s call for a nationwide mask mandate, which numerous Republican governors have rejected.“

Thankfully, there is that light at the end of the tunnel with the vaccines, but I was just thinking: Could you guys imagine if this was not yet on the horizon? As we know, these scientific achievements are unprecedented, to have been able to develop effective vaccines in this short of a time period, usually it takes years...

Great sleuthing! Thank you. MSM has not caught up with you. This is the best summary of his meanderings that I've seen so far.
