Where there is a power vacuum, other forces will tend to "rush in" to fill the vacuum as opportunity affords. There will be others beyond the obvious (Rubio.)

eta: You’re right @ilovewings its appalling.

“North Carolina is updating its COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan, moving long-term care facility residents and staff and many essential workers to an earlier spot in line for the coronavirus shot, state Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mandy Cohen said Wednesday.

The change comes nearly a week after Atrium Health in Charlotte drew sharp scrutiny for scheduling vaccination appointments for employees who do not work directly with COVID-19 patients.”

“Under the state’s updated vaccination plan, Phase 1b will include anyone age 75 or older, health-care workers and front-line essential workers. There aren’t enough shots to vaccinate everyone in Phase 1b at once, so those people will be further split into groups, Cohen said.

Cohen said the state expects to move into Phase 1b in early January. The state’s full plan is available online at yourspotyourshot.nc.gov.

I don't know if others can see (or are even interested in seeing) this little video put out by the Premier of my state today.
It is New Year's Eve here in South Australia .. and it is a brief reflection of our 2020. From bushfires, to covid, to border closures, to lockdowns, to opening up again, and a salute to all of our magical first responders.

Paul Wesley Calls Out United Airlines for Overcrowded Planes Amid Coronavirus Pandemic — E! News

If you’re worried about crowded flights on United - then don’t fly on that airline.
It’s simple.

United and American Airlines are very clear that they are not blocking middle seats.

American is flying with every seat filled, with a list of people on standby.

This is what fuels the uncontrollable spread in the United States. Travel, complete free for all. It is any surprise that hospitals are over run with Covid cases?

I was trying to think of how that phrase went the other day! I have anxiety and ptsd. I am not ashamed to admit that. Needless to say people without this are getting a little sample of our every day life although I think issues hit much more harder for us. I still manage to say "I can do this" we can make it through. My husband and I dropped off some presents after Christmas to our grandsons. The 4 year old that mentioned being in cornfield meaning quarantine ran to me me then paused saying "grandmas scared of the virus" he did give me a quick hug!

You made me smile big

I have great-grandkids in that same age range
They call coronavirus, "the cornvirus"

Little angels are hard to resist♡
That is for sure.
