Seems a bit off since there is literally no way anyone could get the virus in the city where the virus doesn't exist. But, not my decision, lol.

Then again, thousands of people are spared from eating McDonald's food, and that's a benefit to public health. (No offense to McD fans!)

Not a fan either. I call it McCoronary

A flight from Wuhan to San Francisco has not been in the media at all.

China Southern Airlines (CZ) #659 ✈ 30-Jan-2020 ✈ WUH / ZHHH - KSFO ✈ FlightAware

Wuhan Tianhe Airport (Wuhan, Hubei) ZHHH / WUH Flight Tracker ✈ FlightAware Arriving in less than 60 minutes. Let's just say a birdie is asking through facebook media channels on private message why this is not being covered in the news. Crickets as to a response other than one "thanks, we'll look into".

Is it due to a private airline and they don't want to report on? Is it because it is not government sponsored? I thought that no Chinese nationals were allowed out. This is in addition to the ones from Tuesday and last Saturday that were never reported on.

Hmmm, perhaps media was ASKED not to report on? Dunno. That's all I can figure out.

Anyone notice progress on the 2 hospitals being built in a week in China?

I still can't believe that they can build, house and staff 2 hospitals in a week.

I think American news outlets are focused on one national story (not to be named on WS) at the moment, and nothing is going to bump it, except Kobe.

I'm assuming they can't be anything other than sick wards in that short amount of time. JMO

Gack! I just did some quick poking around and found this. Thank goodness. Looks to be coming nonstop from a different area but the flight tracker kept the original itenerary listed.
No, this is not a nonstop flight from Wuhan, China to SFO

What amazes me is that in this day and age, we aren't seeing folks in isolation from countries other than China doing feeds through social media that get picked up by MSM.
I heard it is a 7 year sentence for spreading anti Gov sentiment/critique wrt the coronavirus outbreak, in China.

Test results for two people in New Hampshire have come back negative for coronavirus.

Coronavirus tests on 2 people in NH come back negative

In the United States, 165 people are under investigation for the new coronavirus. Of those individuals, 68 have tested negative and five have tested positive, with those five people all having traveled to Wuhan, China, the epicenter of the outbreak. The remaining individuals' tests are in transit or have pending results.

I wish the state and county maps were not solid colors when a case is detected. That is very misleading. USA has 5 diagnosed cases, but with the amount of red on the map, it looks like a bigger spread of virus. Dots would be much better.

Dunno about that as to the virus not existing. Moscow has had a few planes out that I've shown that appeared on flight aware. MSM had not reported on su

Yeah! Wow that you found that, thanks! A question was answered in the media folks had! I'm, oh...a friend of mine ;);)I was asking for... is ok with being wrong as long as questions to media are answered. I'm learning how to read this stuff and will pay closer attention to those little green lines when they lift off when live.

"After numerous emails and calls from frightened readers sending links and screen shots of what appears to be a nonstop flight from Wuhan, China to San Francisco International Airport (SFO), it's time to set the record straight: There are currently no nonstop flights from Wuhan, China. The airport there has been closed since last week.

What readers are seeing on online flight trackers is China Southern Airlines' flight CZ629. Prior to the coronavirus outbreak, this flight originated in Guangzhou, China (in the south near Hong Kong), then flew to Wuhan (in the center of the country), and continued on to SFO.

Since the outbreak and the closure of Wuhan's airport, the flight, with the same flight number, flies nonstop from Guangzhou to San Francisco. No stops in Wuhan. The last nonstop flight from Wuhan arrived at SFO on Jan. 22.

SFO spokesperson Doug Yakel has confirmed this in a statement to SFGATE: "There are no flights from Wuhan since their airport closed last week. Prior to that closure, China Southern operated a flight that went Guangzhou > Wuhan > SFO. Since the Wuhan closure, that flight now goes Guangzhou nonstop to SFO."

SBM

There are currently ZERO reported cases in all of Russia. If there are indeed diagnosed cases there, Russia is not reporting them - which wouldn't necessarily surprise me, but would be against the international cooperation that is happening regarding tracking the spread of the virus.

.First person-to-person transmission in USA reported (which is the 6th case diagnosed in USA).

The new case is the spouse of the person who arrived in Chicago after traveling to China.

US reports 1st case of person-to-person spread of new virus

The transmission makes the U.S. at least the fifth country where the infection is now spreading through human-to-human contact.

Current top 5 countries outside of China with diagnosed cases:

Thailand: 14 cases. Zero deaths.
Japan: 12 cases + 2 diagnosed, but no symptoms. Zero deaths.
Singapore: 10 cases. Zero deaths.
Australia: 9 cases. Zero deaths.
Malaysia: 8 cases. Zero deaths.

There have been zero deaths to date outside of China. Hope it stays that way.
