The singer is Puerto Rican, and the song is in Spanish. Assuming the video was filmed in the Texas area, the abuser would most likely be from a Puerto Rican or Mexican background. This can also be seen in the video with their darker complex.

Nice. Yes possibly, moo. Of course we don’t know this for sure...

ETA: I changed my mind after looking it, but good thought. (I was going by memory of a crown logo from another case, got a little ahead of myself there.)

Having seeing the video only once, my initial impression is that this video is not in the US. My guess is that this is somewhere Caribbean/Puerto Rico or further south. I travel near these areas and it immediately gave me that vibe, moo, but I could way wrong about this.

It’s really hard to say because it’s so blurry (& I am no expert), but I used to volunteer with some people who were former LK members and across the board, all of their crown tattoos included 5 very distinct points. Hard to tell if this one does or not (but I’m leaning towards no, IMO).

I think these kinds of threads are a perfect example of how sites like WS can help LE. We have thousands of members from all over the world, who have travelled, and each bring their own unique life experiences to the table. LE is limited in man hours and may not always be afforded the time to spend hours searching for a needle in a haystack.

On another note, does anyone here speak/read Spanish fluently?

At the end of the video you can hear the little girl gasping out “Ma...Ma.”

As difficult as it is, watching it is the only way someone will recognize and rescue this girl. I also wish they would show the girl’s face. My god, this is dire. Her life is more important than her privacy.

I think it’s also possible that the mother is the one videoing and a friend/relative is the one perpetuating the abuse IMO, there are 2 people involved.

I am not an avid social media sleuther as I generally like to stick to facts, but I have been on SM for this case for hours and am pretty sure the mother has been ID’d and outed extensively (and with picture evidence as proof of the speculation’s validity). Hopefully not just wishful thinking for the little girls sake.

One of the posts from the Facebook link has a screenshot which seems to indicate the video was originally posted live as a watch party and shows the name of the person hosting it. Jesus.

Arrests have to be coming soon, right? How is this not easily solvable?

Texas police investigating after video of child abuse surfaces

"TORONTO – Police in the city of Corpus Christi, Texas have opened an investigation into alleged child abuse after receiving a video depicting a “female assaulting a minor child,” according to their Facebook page.

The video depicts a woman sitting on the upper body and face of a small child while music plays in the background. The child appears to be having difficulty breathing.

The woman then changes position, flipping the child over and putting them into a suplex-like body hold in between her legs, sitting on the child’s lower body and putting pressure on their chest.

The child cries out multiple times throughout the video, which appears to be filmed by an unknown party. The woman’s face is never shown."

In the news they say this was some cruel punishment. The woman is already identified through social media networks.

"Social network users have identified the woman, possibly the child's mother.
A video was broadcast on social networks in which a woman is seen stepping on a girl for the purpose of reprimanding her, the events would have taken place in Nuevo León".

This is a translation from a Twitter message posted by DIF Ciudad de Mexico. I think this is an official organisation but I'm not sure. I can't find the original, this is a snapshot

Good afternoon. Thanks to the multiple complaints, the origin has already been established and is attended by the corresponding authorities in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. Let us continue to protect children through citizen participation.

I couldn't find an updated news item about it yet, from the Corpus Christi police department. I will stay on the look out.
