Could Lee Anthony face charges for obstruction of justice?

Maybe because Casey hadn't been arrested yet? Seems to me, they would have needed a subpoena to look through her bag/stuff. She probably gave them permission to get the phone (with all the #s, remember? Yeah, right!) and were clueless about her belongings being there till further discussion that evening.

This is covered by the "plain view" doctrine which allows an officer to search items found in ......well, plain view. Which then begs the question: If they showed up at Tony's apartment to pick up her phone, and her computer and bags were there ....... why didn't Tony say "hey, here's her other stuff, do you need that too?" Why would LE not say "Hey, is there anything else of Casey's here that we can pick up?" Sorry....something is still wrong with this picture.

Any guess as to why he did that?

Yes, he did not want his house searched, which they would have requested to do at a minimum if not gotten a warrant.

LP has made statements that he would brag to him and Rob that even the media did not know where he lived.

Another good one!

Why haven't we heard anything more from or about this "Heather"???

Actually, I asked about this on another thread and no one responded! Has this been discussed here before?

I wonder if Lee was trying to delete the bad pics.
I think Casey may have done all that on July 15 AFTER Cindy texted and told her they found the car ..

Personally, for me, I think the visit where he tells her all the players and locations have changed from a month ago is pertinent. Based on the length of time that has passed, the only real new evidence is from her remains/the scene, and the recent S&S warrants so it would seem likely to be a development from that evidence.
Something that they've held on to for all this time?

I also remember in one of the calls with the GPS Casey responding to a CA question that she's not sure of anything because she hasn't been able to talk to anyone.

Glad you provided these links! I've also thought LA might have had a hand in this email charade.
...and wasn't it Lee that actually handed them over to LE? Can he really be that - - - - - -?

I do believe that LA did delete tons of info on KC's computer and that he can and may face charges regarding that. LE experts will be able to determine in my opinion the date and time that he deleted all the info. That is probably why he has an attorney! When the KC trial is over you just may see some of the other family indicted.

Snipped your quote JustanotherJane:

I do remember from TL interview w/LE that when CA came to his apt. in June to get KC, that she was on the laptop at the time of CA's arrival. Yet, later LA said the laptop was wiped out. Did he do that when he retrieved it. ITA too that he maybe helped in trying to clean up KC's car before LE arrived. MOO

But why would they need that, TL gave them permission to search the premises completely. Her things being at his home would fall under his permissive rights, whether it belonged to her or not.

Refresh my memory...did she actually text that? I remember her saying to call and it was important.

LP has made statements that he would brag to him and Rob that even the media did not know where he lived.

A couple of months ago, LP commented a few times on how LA would come into their trailer and talk with them. Then when LP returned to Calif, he mentioned that LA and he conversed on the phone as well. For these reasons, I put some weight on what LP has stated as a fact that LA has said to him. Yeah, I know his theories haven't always panned out, but his facts have been pretty reliable.

I don't think so.

It is in both GA and LA statements. (Not searching for a link but if anyone wants to feel free, this is just recall...)

George/Lee says Lee left approximately midnight the Hopespring Drive Address, and arrived back at 2am. He waited to leave to get her things to sign his statement with LE. LE was there both when he left and when he returned, but did not accompany him. According to Cindy, everything was dumped out in the garage in front of the officer. No way to know for certain of he made any pit stops or brought everything back to Hopespring.

I will say in his statement he gave his address at work and Hopespring, NOT where he actually lives... dun dun dun.

Really????
I hadn't noticed that ..

Wonder why he gave a work address?

Right. So if LE picked up her phone before Lee got there, why didn't they get her stuff. That is my question.

did she actually tell Casey they had the car. I have not seen that.IIRC there was a text at about 4:30 and it was on the line of (we need to talk) you need to call (there's a prob)

I humbly disagree. The ME has to release the remains to the family after all investigative procedures are complete. The defense has requested that their own team review the remains and findings from ME. The holdup is because of the case, not due to the Anthony family.

I heard on the news a couple of days ago that the family was waiting for the 2nd autopsy by the defense team, but that the remains had been turned over to a funeral home by the ME.

That first time I smelled it comment is so wrong, isn't it? I totally agree.
But, didn't Casey say, or imply, that she had hidden some kind of notes/clues in the house? I wondered back then if something had been stashed in a book, or inside a wall, and that Lee had been guided by Casey to uncover it.
Does anybody else remember anything like this?:waitasec:

Snipped ur post...It was said between KC & LA in one of the jail visits @ clues being @ the house. LA asked if PC had anything she said quite possibly & very much so concerning her FB & Myspace there might be clues for LA to find. This is from memory so correct me if I'm wrong.:blowkiss:

Even if she hadn't been arrested? They can go in and seize her property? Remember, this was the night before the wild goose chase. I'm thinking they just didn't see the need then to get her clothes.

Well, his sister is that -------, so why not?

Right. So if LE picked up her phone before Lee got there, why didn't they get her stuff. That is my question.

Did LE go the 15th or the 16th. To Tony's
