Could Lee Anthony face charges for obstruction of justice?

sounds like there's a good reason LA has an attorney. My thoughts, as of right now, it will probably come out that he helped CA clean out the car (if GA was really at work). His attorney is "spinning" when he says LA may have obstructed or aiding and abetting, "unknowingly" (my paraphrase). They all knew what KC was capable of, and after the smell of decomp, they should have had no doubt whatsoever.

This is big, IMO. I always suspected he did, in some capacity. Wonder what he did, probably computer stuff for starters but how far did he go?

Would it be considered obstruction if he lied about whom the baby's father is, if proven he knew otherwise?

What does the father of Caylee have to do with this case? He isn't a part of the murder and has never even seen Caylee. I don't understand why people keep bringing the father up.

This is kooky! Duh! Anytime when there is any case anything can happen - IF YOUR CLIENT HAS DONE SOMETHING WRONG! Why would you even bring this up unless you were on damage control. Where the heck do these people get their lawyers? If I were LA's atty I would act blindsided if he got charged and play the "grieving brother" card.

Which brings me back to an earlier question, did FOX find out something that they asked for comment on? It just seems odd that you would offer up this kind of information. It's not even much of a preemptive strike. So something tells me that someone, somehow, got wind of something, and made a deal with not going full out with the story in return for an interview. (Ok...I know now I've been watching way too much tv!!)

We have reasons to think about obstruction of justice charges for CA and GA because of so many facts in this case. I haven't read or heard of anything regarding LA being charged for obstruction until now.

I do find it interesting that he never hired an attorney until AFTER the body was found.

Personally I believe that Lee helped Casey get rid of the body. Who else would she turn to but her brother? She would know that he wouldn't tell anyone and she would be safe. That's just my opinion though. Maybe Lee is afraid that his fingerprints will be found on the tape or bag or something in the bag so he hired an attorney after Caylee was found.

I found it interesting that Lee pretty much stayed in the background after a while as close as him and Casey are. Lee himself said that him and Casey could tell each other secrets that they would never tell anyone else. I think Caylee's murder was one of those secrets.

Lol, the photo was not fake, it just was not KC, imo. To be fair, I sent it to a colleague that is trained to know if it is fake, or if it could be the person in question, I could not tell myself, I thought it was her absolutely until I hear back.

I don't agree that Jesse Grund is in any way guilty of ANY THING in this case. I believe he has been honest in all he has told LE and remember it was Cindy and George who tried to sell the FBI on the assumption that Jesse was guilty. Just how m any of Casey's friends did she name as "the kidnappers?" Remember,Casey is a pathological and more and more we see where she gets that from...her own mother! What a messed up family!!!

I think LE and the FBI figured out early on that the A's (all of them) were trying to play them-and they just played em back! LE/FBI gave them false compliments and praises knowing full well that if they didn't the A's would just shut up like their murdering daughter did. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall and heard the conversations LE and FBI had between themselves about these clowns. Their (LE & FBI) restraint and self control in the face of the BS the A's have thrown out is AMAZING!!! I know I couldn't have sat there and listened to CA, KC, GA, and LA without wanting to :slap:

I totally agree, my personal fave was at the start of CA interview with SB of the FBI, where she calls the nanny Z. G. Rodriguez ( she says the other 2 names, but the point is it is the first and last time she ever did it) the entire case was made out of it and she gets the name wrong to the FBI. SB did not so much as flinch, I was completely impressed..

I'll see what I can come up with through the links. They irritated the hell out of me way back in the beginning after seeing the pics, with all their faked innocence of Casey's lifestyle, supposed ignorance of who her friends were,... Lee's attempted schmoozing with the press, his condescending attitude and disdain for everything and everybody trying to find Caylee. All anybody, and I mean any of the Anthony's had to do was "reach out" to anyone of the people Lee, Casey, George, partied with on any single occasion, or call Child Protective Services, or LE, to go do a wellness check on Caylee. That would have required sincere concern for her well-being, however. The Anthony's abandoned Caylee to Casey; Casey knew that she could get away with anything, and just escalated it to murder, if not torture and murder.
Casey knew that they would lie, cheat and cover-up for her, no matter what she did.
I never understood why so many people thought Lee was the good guy. :behindbar:behindbar

At least until after she was arrested. In listening to the jailhouse videos between KC and LA, I think he was trying to play her game in hopes of gleening info from KC as to where Caylee was at. Perhaps after she got out on bail, LA began to realize KC did something, or KC told him some story. LA did disappear for a long time and I'm thinking he knew KC murdered his niece at some point or another. Maybe he was hiding stuff from LE then to protect her. This is all just speculation on my part, though.

Its my understanding these are 2 diff issues.. The pics were deleted the eve of 7/15 early am of 7/16 on the FAMILY PC, not the laptop.. The Yahoo account, which was the IM account, had been deleted by then. It also states (Det Wells questing LA) that it is done through a seperate computer and seperate account, but non-specific. In JG statement, he was able to tell LE exactly how many pics she deleted and of what, which I thought odd..

How would he know that? Did he get that info from the A's computer he was on on 7/16?

I think JG was/is/may always be heart sick over falling in love, trusting, being dumped then drawn back in with 'fatherhood', then dumped again and IIRC briefly drawn back in yet again. I'm sure he spent more than an hour or two once in a while checking out Casey's Myspace seeing what she was up to and day dreaming about what his 'never never land' family would have been.

I have a boy his age that isn't a 'player' and I think that's something he would do. Obviously Casey wanted to keep him just within reach for 'resources' but just out of her arms.

I don't find it wierd at all that he knew approx. how many pictures, and basicly what their content was...Casey with Caylee, Casey with Caylee here or there.

I do believe that LA did delete tons of info on KC's computer and that he can and may face charges regarding that. LE experts will be able to determine in my opinion the date and time that he deleted all the info. That is probably why he has an attorney! When the KC trial is over you just may see some of the other family indicted.

It could be that KC started erasing and couldn't finish because Cindy showed up.Lee and Casey were in the bedroom alone quite a bit as Cindy was in and out.Casey may have asked Lee to get the computer and erase more stuff.
