Could Lee Anthony face charges for obstruction of justice?

That second interview with the attorney was interesting. The attorney came out and stated that when this investigaton first began, we (the public) did not know who was responsible for Caylee’s disappearance ~ no denial it was Casey as the Anthony's have long held as their belief. Also, when he stated that Mr. Anthony (Lee) was going under the assumption that his daughter, then corrected to niece, was kidnapped… oops!!

I don't think that is the first time that mistake has been made either.

My guess is Lee (along with Jesse G who also has hired a lawyer don't forget) may face Obstruction of Justice charges for their respective roles in the quaisi-investigation they conducted to establish the timeline of Casey's activities during the 31 days, prior to the official police investigation.

I don't think Jesse G will face any charges & I don't think he did anything wrong, not that I remember anyways. I think the reason he has a lawyer is because of how Cindy, George & KC all hinted ( more than hint in some tapes) he was involved in the disappearence of Caylee. It is smart of him to have the lawyer.

This is a good point. I'm like you - if it was one of our kitties we would have been in those woods every day until we found them. I have been following this case since it was made public in July and I've wavered back and forth about the family's complicity, but when you mentioned your cats I saw the light. Yes, they have assisted with the cover up. I know it now.

If one of my cats was missing I'd check under the bushes, but if I believed someone kidnapped my cat I'd try to find that person. It's not likely I'd find the kidnapper in the bushes.

Watch out! When you bring up something as taboo as Incest you get sent to the Parking Lot! Don't understand why though - it's pertinent to the case and really upsets some of us who are survivors of that "terrible word"....shhhhhhh

I don't get that either. I wonder, if it is PROVED by DNA in court, daddy be in the family, will we be allowed to discuss it in regular threads?

Sure. We allow discussion of facts. Discussions on this topic with just rumor and innuendo is better discussed in the 'lot.

Does anyone believe that Casey pushed that car to the Amscot parking lot by herself? I never have. That might have been the first time he smelled that smell.

Maybe the Come to Jesus moment Lee described to LE in his interview was him reminding her that she was basically caught now, and she better figure something out, not that she better just take her Mom to Caylee, because he knew at that time that Caylee was gone.

The car smell quote is on pg 2

http://flawebhosting.net/docs092308/la092308.pdf

Lee's talking about getting to the house just before his mom get home with KC.
Lee tells LE "Uhm,therewas, the only vehicle there was my,uhm, the vehicle drove, driven by my sister, the white uh Pontiac. The trunk was open. The windows were rolled down to ventilate I assume ventilate the horrible smell that I had ( chuckles) just, just smelled for the first time. And uhm went inside the house....."
That just stands out to me.It screams "I've really smelled that smell before!"
But that's just me. The chuckling freaks me out.

This family has so much trouble with common, everyday English, that I don't think he meant anything by it ..

Let me just say that Lee makes my skin crawl but, the way I read this is that someone, either george or cindy had been telling him on the phone that the car smelled like a dead body.

So when he says that I smelled this smell for the first time I think he had been anticipating smelling something bad from this car and since he seems to have a peculiar way of talking anyway this is consistent with his speech pattern. JMO, of course

I thought Casey had said 2 guys helped her push the car to the parking lot.

NANCY GRACE: July 22, police question the tot mom`s live-in, Tony Lazzaro.
ANTHONY LAZZARO, CASEY ANTHONY`S EX-BOYFRIEND: I got a call that to come pick her up that she ran out of gas. I asked her where she was and she said that she ran out of gas at that corner and that somebody helped her push her car into the Amscot. So then I went and picked her up.

IF anyone helped her push the car why havent they come forward?

If nothing was wrong with the car and it hadnt run out of gas nobody needed to push it.\

Didnt GA drive it off just fine?

Yes, after GA put some gas into it, it drove fine. He brought gas cans to the tow yard with him, in the Docs.
Just because this is what Casey claims, we don't dare believe it, do we?
If Anyone had helped her push the car I think they would have stepped forward, unless it was someone close to her.

wonder why she didn't have a better story ready?
Oh, Miss James.
This Casey is a rotten girl.

Casey had this on her laptop, downloaded it July 11.
This goes to why she didn't have a better story, left the car,... I think
She killed Caylee then threw her away when she got around to it, then moved on, partied on, stole on,...

YOU CAN SPEND MINUTES, HOURS, DAYS,WEEKS OR EVEN MONTHS OVER-ANALYZING A SITUATION: TRYING TO PIECES TOGETHER, JUSTIFYING WHAT COULD'VE, WOULD'VE HAPPENED... OR YOU COULD JUST LEAVE THE PIECES ON THE FLOOR AND MOVE THE **** ON

Maybe Lee tried to pick the pieces up and put them together or just plain throw them away.
Cindy and George sure did.

It's possible that two guys helped. But just about everything KC says is a lie,so who knows?

Cindy and George sure did.

I really just wanted one of them to step up,be a hero.
Cindy came off as too angry for that, but I had high hopes for GA or LA.They seemed to want the truth in the beginning.
Maybe, just maybe one of them has been working with LE all along.

Christmas has been fun, but wow, do I have alot to catch up on!

So LA's attorney is saying LA could be charged even if he's done nothing wrong. And he's offering to refund money he took for the Caylee fund he spent on HIS investigation before he's been asked to. Add that to his parents "we lied before and won't in the future" and ya gotta know something is coming down.

You all probably discussed this a hundred times already....back to catching up.

Oh, I know. I had a hard time processing that no one stood up for Caylee, showed even a glimpse of common decency, and certainly no honor.
None of us could have been prepared for so much disappointment and betrayal from this family and the murderer within.
It would be wonderful if your wish was true.:gift:
It's so needlessly, mindlessly, confounded now.

Don't laugh at me for responding to a post so old, but Ha! He threw himself off, even if it was for only a split second. If it was an honest slip I don't think he would have even flinched.

I think Nancy Grace calls Casey "Tot Mom" because she couldn't keep the names straight, and she knew it.
 IMO

Tony posted on Scared Monkeys that the computer had a blue screen when Lee first looked at it. I think Casey did the file deleting before Cindy arrived.

Rare, but I agree. Well, in part. I think once CA arrived at Tony's, KC tried a very fast reformat and failed. Possibly when she went back into Tony's to get whatever it was she grabbed before leaving.

I have always believed that Casey deleted everything too Chilly. I still think that Amy (or one of the guys) could have possibly given her a heads up...not knowing of course, the seriousness of the situation.

You're right. That makes even more sense.

Just tossing this out there to kick around, too, but how do we know that KC's laptop didn't have frequent BSOD episodes? She doesn't strike me as overly tech-savvy, only as a frequent flyer on social sites. And it isn't like she had a tech guy from the IT department at Universal to do regular windows updates and such.
