Can you all believe it? After all this time? The documents we have read, the hearing we've watched, the testimonies we've combed over, the news articles we read as soon as they are released?

The way we have gone forward, sideways and back again on what we think is happening, thought happened, want to have happen?

The tears we have shed, the laughter we have shared on this board despite this terrible crime, and the good friends we've all come to know and love.

2 days!!! Wow!! I agree... I never thought we would be sitting here talking about 2 days!! I am so proud to be a member of this forum. With everything that has gone on during these last few years... Caylee has never gotten lost or set aside on this forum! It has always been about Justice for Caylee and I am so happy that Caylee has had thousands of people who refused to forget about her.

I will say, since we are only 2 days away, that I am beyond disgusted at everyone who has tried to stall Justice for Caylee... or even tried to destroy it. The Joy Wray's and the Laura Buchanan's of this world who did everything in their power to try and tamper with evidence and even went as far as creating false evidence to try and get a murderer set free. Caylee's murderer. They should be ashamed of themselves!

To all the people who went into this with good intentions only to come out with self serving intentions... Leonard Padilla's of this world... shame on you too.

To all the witnesses, especially Casey's former friends, that have shown remarkable restraint these past few years... you are Caylee's hero's. You know what this is about and it isn't about you... even though certain people tried to desperately to make it about you. Stay strong!! I can only hope that once this trial is over that you can go on to live happy and successful lives.

To the people who have never even met anyone from the Anthony family and were thrown into this case by simply being the person who finally found Caylee (Roy Kronk) or simply searched for hours for this beautiful missing child (TES searchers)... you are Caylee's hero's!

I am just so excited for Caylee! I have waited so very long to see Caylee's voice finally be heard.

Your post so reflects my exact feelings, too. I have been here (well, maybe not HERE) but have been on this case since the beginning. Lord only knows how much time each of us have spent reading docs and watching videos, etc. Reading transcripts...I have so much of myself invested in seeing this to the end. I rode in Murt's van (on top) and was there for all that, watched the protesters and the tree cams aimed a Anthony house. My dad died unexpectedly the same day Caylee was found. That cements this case into my own life. That makes it more "real" to me.
This whole case has remained surreal due to the Anthony antics. I have never known people like that- consummate liars- and they are a trip. I can only imagine how pissed off their neighbors must be, for all the commotion caused during the protesters and even now as people drive by- the curiosity factor- and the fact that many probably hate living next to a possible crime scene and the likes of the Anthony's.

Justice is coming, Caylee.

I am really surprised that there has not been more coverage of this case in the last two days. I realize that the Osama's being killed - killed a lot of the would be coverage. But I am just surprised that even tonight I have not seen anything about it. It is a huge trial and I thought there would be more.

It doesn't feel the national media is "prepping" the general public for this trial, if that makes sense. I get my news from CNN.com and they'll have articles about the trial under "Latest News" but it's not HUGE like the Tucson shooting was or Japan or Osama Bin Laden's death. I'm sure there will be lots of coverage for the opening statements and the verdict but I'm not sure how much coverage CNN/CBS/ABC/FOX/MSNBC are going to give to everything that happens in-between. I believe that news about the trial will be readily available if you're interested, but if you're not, you can avoid it pretty easily.

Friday I went shopping and bought lunch meat, bread, lots of salad, fruits, and meat for the crock pot for my husband. I can pretty much live off salads, baked potatoes topped with cottage cheese, or various types of omelettes for weeks at a time, lol.

Keep in mind the picture HAS to be 100 pixels by 100 pixels (a perfect square), so if you find one you like you will probably have to size it down (or you can email it to me if that's allowed here) and I will crop and resize for you.

1 : log in and click on your member name in the upper right (next to the Welcome)
2 : Click "Customize Profile" in the upper right (it's kinda hard to find but look for it!) it's NOT on the left hand side. It's in the blue part of the frame towards the right site.
3 : Click "Edit Avatar" in the left side column
4 : Choose the Radio button (circle) that says "Use Custom Avatar"
5 : Look for Option 2 and the BROWSE button. Click it to browse on your computer to where you have the picture you want to upload.
6 : Click 'Save Changes' button

It should upload and be saved. Now when you post your avatar will be of Caylee.

So, how long are we estimating jury selection will take? And have we figured out where the jury is coming from? What I'm most interested in is seeing opening and closing statements as they happen, a few key witnesses testify and the verdict, of course. I can't watch the whole thing because of my job! But it's hard to know how to schedule when we can't gauge when the actual trial will start. Thoughts?

Does JP sentence Casey or does the jury?

Does the jury say "We The Jury sentence Casey M. Anthony to Death/ Life in Prison or does JP do that?

And why is she being immediately sentenced if she is found guilty?

I though in most cases they would come back a few weeks later and the defendant would receive their punishment.
