Busy, you stated that The SS notation has nothing to do with social security payments it has to do with his SS. The formal petition was for "Notice of Social Security".

IMO, the court is asking for verification of his notice of social security payment. If he receives a check, I am sure the court wants to know and see the check for the amount.

Was the court asking only for RC's Social Security number? I did not see that. Since he is the guardian, he would receive the checks. The children are also covered by medicaid which tells me he may also be getting aid from the State.

The court documents state both Crystal and Ron are to maintain medicaid on the children. In addition, the child support calculations do not include any social security payments. I know you are convinced that Ron had money just "flowing" in as you put it, however the court documents to do not reflect that at all.

Are you referring to the Child Support Guildeline Worksheet ?

Hi Shaymus,

I was referring to the list of motions or appts that were posted. It said Social Security notification......assumption on my part that it did not mean they were asking for his SSN#...IDK.

Seems unlikely to me they would put a SS notification in with the list of motions and dockets and be only asking for his SSN....

.I could be wrong. I guess I have to research this.

Hello, neither do I. But if we can look at that worksheet, it'll let us know if any of SDI money is included in the Child Support Guildelines. I don't know - it may just be that the determination is simply made based upon the non-custodial parent's ability to pay....

Did they ask for Crystal or Haleigh's SSNs ?

Busy, I don't think RC was flowing in money....quite the opposite. He did not have the financial means to support these two children...which leads to me questioning his motive for custody.

Shay, in california, they don't base it on ability to pay, UNLESS, you have a private attorney and some money to get.

They have a software pgm and the lawyer enters in the income (he ask for proof just in case it questioned) and the software determines the child support. The judge then decides if there is any extenuating circumstances, but he doesn't have to do anything about it. It appears in this case, he went by the book and took both incomes. If she didn't have any, he went for the bare minimum.

If the kids are on welfare or SSI, the state still wants the spouse to contribute towards whatever part the state is paying. They take their cut first.

This could be entirely different in Florida.

Gotcha, it would be very interesting to see that worksheet, then. It's part of Appendix A which I don't see in the document on our thread. Let me pm the person who posted the document and see if they can scan in Appendix A. IMO, there isn't much value in discussing a document that not everyone on the Forum can peruse.

Ha! It will be great if someone can prove that Ronald was receiving SSI for Haleigh since it will be another reason why he would not want to get rid of Haleigh!! Bravo!!

I don't believe he was receiving SSI, personally. I have not seen any indication which would lead me to believe she was his "cash cow" in any way, shape, or form.

Appears the original child custody filing was sent to wrong address. The address given was in Jacksonville. Crystal didn't get the notice, since she didn't live in Jacksonville. He then filed to get custody by default (if you don't show up, the other side wins by default).

Child support is based upon a formula. It takes into account BOTH parents income.

And yes, everyone's social security numbers are needed in a court case, including the children's. If Ron's SS# was not on file with the Court, it would absolutely need to be.

Well, in reviewing the court doc...it is interesting to note that Ron lived at Rita Lane. He said it was his home.........hmmm. BIG RED FLAG!!

OMG. He lived on Sharon Dr. in Satsuma during this hearing, a place his Mom was renting for him.

He spoke of Cocaine abuse about Crystal but there was NO substantiation, just a thought. He said he kinda heard something and took it upon himself to take the kids....omg.

Three months appears to be as long as he stays in one place.

Thank you. Do you happen to have a copy of the worksheet that you can could scan in for all of us to review ?

Wrong. If Crystal did NOT get the notice, how did she file the answer?

Perhaps because she was not the petitioner in this case?
