It could be possible for any local press to be there, as they would have known about Haleigh before the Amber Alert even went into affect.
As for the police report and Crystal it could have been filled out shortly after LE got there and started talking to Ron, TN, Misty etc...TN or Ron could have given that info to LE about Crystal since she is Haleigh's mother , LE probally asked for it so they would have some info on file about her to notify her and other reason's I'm sure..

Yes, I don't understand the conclusion that the only way the press would've known about Haleigh was via the issuance of an Amber Alert. Tips are called into the media outlets all the time. LE began searching almost immediately upon receiving the 911 call. Roads were blocked off - the fact that a child had gone missing and a large search was underway was not a secret in Satsuma.

You have to realize that this appointment was probably made before December 5th when custody was awarded to RC. So at the time he had no clue when Crystal would have the children and when she would not. RC offered to take JR to the appointment if Crystal brought JR back the night before or early that morning, she chose not to - he wasn't making her responsible for taking the child to the Dr, but he had to have JR in order to get him to the Dr. Also need to realize the December 27th court date was not set until at least December 12th. The not getting out of bed is based on statements Crystal herself made during the custody hearing that was one of the excuses she used for Haleigh missing 12 drs appointments over a period of time.

Once RC received custody there has been no mention in court documents of the children missing Drs appointments, so it appears that RC does what is necessary to get the children to their appointments.

IIRC, Back in 2005, Crystal didn't have her driver's license.

The first court date was December 5th, Crystal did not appear at that court date. RC was awarded custody at that time. Crystal filed a motion for a rehearing on December 12th, 2005 at that time notice was mailed to both parties that a new hearing would take place December 27th, 2005.

Crystal gave the kids to RC in August, in September RC filed for custody.

It might make it easier for you to understand the chain of events if you have time to read the court papers. It makes it much more clear on the timing etc.

I am not sure of the date she got her drivers license Patty. The court hearing was December 27, 2005. January 10th she testified that she had a license, car, was able to get a mortgage and a job. Maybe she accomplished all that in 14 days I don't know. She made it to court that morning whether she drove or someone else drove her, she could of easily arrived a few hours earlier so that RC could of taken JR to the dr. Or come the night before and stayed at a local relatives place. JMO

Has everyone read this report? If they had, all would be informed of exactly what she has expierienced.

RC is pretty good at placing blame on everyone but himself.

On pp 9 &10 of the Custody Hearing Transcript, he describes why the children are not in day care. That the magistrate didn't challenge him on this is amazing, IMO.

MAGISTRATE PUGH: Do either of these children attend a day care ?

MR. CUMMINGS: No sir, I attempted to get them in a day care, and I got the shot records, and I accidentally left them in Ms. Sheffield's car. And I asked for them back, and I never had them returned to me.

MAGISTRATE PUGH: And those shot records you needed ?

MR. CUMMINGS: Yeah, I needed the shot records to enroll them.

And the magistrate never asks the logical followup question - why the heck didn't you get another copy from the doctor ?

No joke. Nothing funny about this imo. Again, please read the documents. Are you saying not returning children is how he got custody? That doesn't make sense to me, and it also is not the case from the facts we have available.

The fact that a poster does not agree with with a particular interpretation of a document does not indicate that they have not read it. We can not possibly know what another poster has read or viewed.

Its all part of the custody docs that are linked on this thread and in the sticky thread. It was not a hearing it was in Crystals lawyers documents that were filed to request a new hearing and challenge the ruling. You will also find Johnny S. affidavit attached to this paperwork.

When I see the word took to me it means that he did not have permission to take the children. Crystal gave him permission to take the children so to me what occurred is entirely different than "Ron took the children and never returned them".

ETA: Just as when Crystal did not return the children after visitation and RC had to file an emergency order for the children to be returned. I would not state Crystal took the children.

That is what I basically said: "Ron took the children and never returned them".

PICAZIO: No, but my client was doing drugs in the household. We`ve never denied that. After she broke up with Ronald she put herself, voluntarily, in rehab. Stayed there for a week. Didn`t have insurance so they told her she had to leave. She has been clean and sober ever since.

It list all income, daycare, health care, and statutory adjustments, financial responsibility, total support payments actually made there a total of 5 different sheets.

I don't know the dates, they were together based on the custody documents stating him and Crystal where together and lived together at the Rita address until IIRC 4 months ago and that was stated in December. But in December she testifies that she hadnt used cocaine for a year so I don't understand why she would go to rehab in July or August if she hadn't been using.

I have reviewed the January 10th document and what it states: "Crystal has acquired "driving skills", but it doesn't state she has her driver's license. "Driving Skills" IMO, could be lessons to learn how to drive a care.

It does state in the document that Crystal has a car etc., etc., but the key question for me is "when did Crystal get her driver's license?"
