I don't know the date Crystal obtained her license - it may show on the Baker County records from when it was supsended a couple times - I will go look and see if it shows anything if it is important to have a date.

I have reviewed the January 10th document and what it states: "Crystal has acquired "driving skills", but it doesn't state she has her driver's license. "Driving Skills" IMO, could be lessons to learn how to drive a care.

It does state in the document that Crystal has a car etc., etc., but the key question for me is "when did Crystal get her driver's license?"

Shaymus - the heading on the document is entiled

Child Support: Cummings and Sheffield

It list all income, daycare, health care, and statutory adjustments, financial responsibility, total support payments actually made there a total of 5 different sheets.

Thank you. Where can I obtain a copy of this document ?

The Baker County records do not state a date of license issue. However, Crystal stated and I will dig for link if necessary that RC would block her car in when she would come to visit the children at his home - acting like she was gonna take the kids and she didnt even have car seats. So she was driving to Putnam County before custody was awarded to visit with the children, or I guess you could say someone was driving her car for her. To me it really doesnt matter when she got her license, when she has repsonsibility for the children she needs to have transportation available whether she has to rely on someone else or has the ability to drive herself. When I see the word took to me it means that he did not have permission to take the children. Crystal gave him permission to take the children so to me what occurred is entirely different than "Ron took the children and never returned them".

ETA: Just as when Crystal did not return the children after visitation and RC had to file an emergency order for the children to be returned. I would not state Crystal took the children.

I can rephrase it: "Ron picked up the children based on their agreement and never returned them".

This has always had my hinky on red alert, made me think Ron was scared that one or both of the children was going to be abducted. :( JMO

Thank you.

Knowing the date of Crystal's driver's license is important because it gives an idea if Crystal was capable of driving her children anywhere for anything OR if Crystal had to rely on other people to pick her up and drive her.

IIRC, while Crystal lived with Ron, Crystal had to rely on others to take her places.

Did you ever see the photo of Haleigh on her first day of school not wanting to get on the bus? She obviously did not want to go (not unlike most kids), but this could be a factor in her tardies. He doesn't have to explain those absences to anyone except the school. If Haleigh wasn't feeling well and Ronald forgot to call or write a note...it is considered unexcused. I don't consider this a huge issue considering her age. Here it doesn't even count against them until they are older because the school system expects it. Children are not allowed to go to school for 24 hours after vomiting or having a fever and the guidelines are very strict so they make allowances for the younger children.

Going to see a Cardiologist is much different, imo. When it deals with the health of a child then it goes into a much higher category than days missed at school, imo. Those appointments are serious and very difficult to get. Btw~ you don't just change those appointments. They are normally set up between the doctors and it takes weeks to reschedule. There is no excuse good enough to miss them. Ronald offered to take off work to do her job.

Here the elementary school rules are the exact same for kindergarten through the 5th grade. They are equally strict on unexcused absences and tardies, no matter what grade the child is in. One too many and the parent gets reported. Which is obviously what happened to Ronald, as he said that he was facing jail if Haleigh missed any more school.

It is my opinion that Ron and Crystal are equally responsible for all the missed doctor appts.

I have wondered if RC just said that to Crystal because he didnt want to take Haleigh out of school anymore days when she requested it. In looking thru other family members court docs there are charges against a parent for not keeping their kid (s) in school. I could find nothing like that against RC.

I havent looked around on the net to see if someone has downloaded them or not.

So they are available in electronic format or do they have to be scanned and then uploaded ?

The not getting out of bed is based on statements Crystal herself made during the custody hearing that was one of the excuses she used for Haleigh missing 12 drs appointments over a period of time.

Once RC received custody there has been no mention in court documents of the children missing Drs appointments, so it appears that RC does what is necessary to get the children to their appointments.

IMO he tried to do what was neccessary before he had custody as well. IMO arranging for his gramma to drive CS, to me, showed he didn't just "dump" this on CS or at the very least CS had other options available.

Custody doc available in Stickies

Before anyone says being afraid to drive with GGS was a legitimate excuse. CS had one seizure just prior to Haleigh's disappearance (as stated by her family) yet she continued to drive with her baby.

Breaking news tonight. Haleigh Cummings`s mother suffers a seizure while driving today. She was taken to a local hospital with her 11-month-old daughter, who suffered no injuries. Sheffield`s family says this is the second seizure Crystal has ever had. The first happening two days before Haleigh disappeared.

I applaud Crystal for being honest about the the Dr. appts at the hearing. She ended up taking responsibilities for her actions. Unfortunately, her mother continues years later to make excuses for somethings CS took responsibility for:

YouTube - Haleigh Cumming's Grandmother talks about child's Dad

Also In Custody docs CS states she has a license presently (Dec. 05).

Shaymus I did not realize that the child support worksheets where not online with the other documents until just recently as well as the visitation schedule. I have tried not to discuss info from the complete set of documents that is not included online. Some of the documents are worded differently so when I cite something with a page number and line number it might be different but same info. I did scan the visitation schedule and got chewed out for it and accused of all kinds of things so my original intent to shot out of the water.

Please explain to me why if Crystal was personally served in October 2005 at the address provided and she responded to that petition in October 2005 - why it is RC's responsibility to follow Crystal around and figure out where she is living. It was Crystals responsibility to notified the court of her address change and that she was no longer at the October 2005 address, she knew there was a court action going on.

You're questioning the LEGAL document which states the PETITIONER answered the motion......if you read right above that, it is a motion regarding paternity, and as Ronald himself has stated, he wrote a letter saying he was the father of the children. HE ANSWERED the court's request for establishment of paternity.

I am not questioning the LEGAL document, I am questioning why people think it was RC responsibility to keep track of Crystals address. The document spells out the exact date Crystal was personally served and the exact date she answered the petition. I will type out for you what the actually custody documents say

The mother was personally served a copy of the petition on October 5, 2005. (R.7). The mother filed a typed Answer on October 18, 2005 opposing the petition. (R.12).

On this copy it is page 2 Line 4 and Line 5 - Crystal is referred to as respondent.
