Wow...........I thought I'd lost this article....it's where GGM says Jr was asleep and she had him and she arrived at the MH 10 minutes after Haleigh disappeared........wowzers. but also.....

SATSUMA, FL -- It's those last moments before Haleigh Cummings disappeared that police want to know about.
They are relying on a four-year-old, Haleigh's little brother, Ronald Junior, for help.
"He was asleep. I got there 10 minutes after we noticed she was gone. I had Junior, he said he didn't know anything...said he was asleep," Haleigh's great grandmother, Annette Sykes, told First Coast News on Monday.
Detectives have talked to the child. Relatives on both sides say he told police he saw a man in a ski mask come in their trailer and leave with his big sister.
"They questioned Junior. I asked them (police) about it. They couldn't tell me anything other than he's a little child. He was questioned and the story went from one thing to another and another," says Sykes."

So the article makes perfect sense. Marie said on NG that she received the info from CONNIE and CRYSTAL.

The article that you posted ran the DAY AFTER Marie announced on NG that the info came from Connie and Crystal. Connie was not on the scene at 202 Green Lane! GGS was, but she wasn't the one who outed the info, I think your article is proof that GGS knew about the man in a ski mask and asked police about it and the investigators told her JR had been questioned by specialists, etc etc.

please tell me why CONNIE SHEFFIELD WAS ASKING JUNIOR ABOUT WHAT HE SAW AT 202 GREEN LANE?? She wasn't there to know what JR said he saw or what investigators told GGS

CONNIE SHEFFIELD: No, just you know, when you`re up here and you have so many people coming up offering their condolences, you don`t know if the person who took Haleigh might be hugging your neck or shaking your hand, if it`s someone locally in this area. So I was concerned for all the children here. There were several kids.

CONNIE SHEFFIELD: Yes. I noticed several parents picking their children up on golf carts from the bus stop, seeing to it that there was someone there, whether it was a mother or a father, aunt or an uncle, to pick up the children.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: What bothers you most about this perplexing case? We -- we are all mystified. How did this child disappear out of a double-wide trailer with two other people asleep? The little boy, Ron Jr., has reportedly said that a man in black -- dressed in black took him away. Have you heard that from his lips, and what are your thoughts on all of this, this mystery?

CONNIE SHEFFIELD: The day it happened he was allowed to walk up to where we were all located, and I think that`s more or less the mind of a child when speaking to find some comfort in where his sister may have gone because the children are afraid themselves.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: Are you saying you don`t believe that a man in black went in there -- in other words, you think that this is a child`s imagination?

CONNIE SHEFFIELD: I would. That`s what I think, because my son himself there again. When we took him home he drew pictures about boats and helicopters. And him and R.J. are closely related in age, so I can see where a child would want to find reasoning to all this.

I remember this article now. the part I bolded above really bothered me when I first read it and again now. The fact that Connie's son was drawing boats and helicopters is very interesting in its self and begs for an understanding why her young 4 year old was subjected to those paticular things. Didn't the Sheffileld go out on a boat to search for HaLeigh? Did they allow the children to go along on that search? How would this child be drawing boats and helicopters if he was at a tent at the front entrance of the neighborhood surrounded by so many trees? Does anybody know who's boat it was the Sheffields used to search?

Crystal said that when Teresa Neves called her to tell her that Haleigh was missing she(Crystal) thought it was a prank.

Crystal said she heard all the commotion in the background (while talking to Teresa) and called her dad who lives in Satsuma to verify that Haleigh was gone. Crystal states that Marty called Crystal back and told her that he saw the road barricaded and there police cars lined up and he couldn't get down to Ronald's house. I am looking for the transcript but I remember thinking about all of that when people were discussing why it would take Crystal till the next day to get to Satsuma.

Anyway, by Marty's own admissions he couldn't get down 202 Gr Lane to see Ronald or anyone else. GGS might have been at 202 GR Lane but Connie sure wasn't

Texasmommy, I think the reason i might be so out of the loop as far as your suspicions of Marty S is because it seems to me that you watched a lot of the JVM shows that featured Haleigh's case. i never watched any of the JVM shows, and it sure seems that Connie and Marty gave JVM a lot of interviews. I always disagreed with you because I never really looked at it from your point of view, if I am being honest. but now I am understanding why you might suspect Marty!! I think i need to go back and read every JVM transcript because unfortunately I wasn't able to watch her show or coverage of Haleigh.

I am actually a little excited because if Marty was involved Haleigh might still be alive. That would be a miracle of mass proportions.

No, it was a hearing about Crystal not paying her support and she was looking at jail time if she could not come up with the back support she owed.

Actually the custody hearing had already taken place. What was occurring around that time Beatrice was a motion that was filed on behalf of the state of Florida on behalf of Ronald Cummings. Crystal was in arrears for non-payment of support. The subpoena's for that hearing are said to have come right before Haleigh went missing. There was going to be a hearing on how to proceed against Crystal for her nonpayment.

Personally I don't believe that the support hearing was brought before the court by RC. This was a motion of the State of Florida.

I also want to add that I do not believe that Crystal sent someone in to have Haleigh kidnapped, absolutely not. If the reports are true though and Crystal had her 1st seizure 2 days before Haleigh went missing, I think there is a chance she received her subpoena for the support hearing and was emotionally affected by it. Crystal was in Baker County though and so was Marie, Marty lived in Putnam County and had knowledge of when RC worked and who kept his children while he worked. Connie told Crystal about the "man in black", she referred to the abductor as only the man in black.....not the man in black with a ski mask. I think Junior said a man in a ski mask and Connie was the one who changed it to a "man in black".

These are all just my opinions and if I am breaking the rules here by using names instead of initials I will delete my posts.

I don't know (nor does anyone to my knowledge) that she would have received jail time right away, she may have or they may have given her more time. From working with the Family Court (not in Florida) it seems as every county within every state is different when it comes to how lenient or flexible they are. (or not) Either way, kidnapping HaLeigh would in NO way solved that problem in any case.

In regards to Marty....I'm just of the mind that statements have been blown WAY out of proportion. (imagine that, lol!) I would LOVE to even have an inkling that there was a smidgen of truth to that but I don't. That would be the only semi-good outcome that I can imagine sadly.

Lastly, Has there ever been any official LE acknowlegement to the "man in black" statement by Jr? I've never put alot of stock in that because I've never seen it out there as fact and children can be so suggestible, you know? (I don't mean intentionally mislead) Certainly not saying that it hasn't been confirmed that Jr. did in fact say that, just asking because I haven't run across it. I suppose the only way it could be confirmed with any clarity would be if Jr. made that statement to LE or a counselor, someone that knew how to ferret real info from something that may have been overheard, imagined, dreamed.....you know what I mean. :crazy:..

lol....I don't know why you say that but thanks. I just like to explore a theory that doesn't implicate Ronald or Crystal. I can't make up my mind about Misty yet, but if she left the house that night, all the more easy for someone to go in there and snatch Haleigh. In my opinion Misty could have been sleeping and someone still could have snatched her. LE states she is inconsistent, but they haven't explained why.

I hope to goodness that if Haleigh was harmed in the trailer, LE would have found evidence to support that theory and we wouldn't be here 9 months later trying to connect the dots. If LE means what they said in their last statement, that Ronald and Crystal aren't suspects, then I feel it is fair to treat them as such.

Can anyone tell me did Chrystal lose her driver licensee for child support? Florida takes your drivers license 6 months before they start threaten you with Jail on non support.
