I hope it was. I hope to heaven someone reported an inappropriate sexual relationship between a grown man and a teenager, around two little children.

If it was reported and it was investigated, then DCF has some explaining to do. I seriously doubt that it was reported though, I would hope that Misty would be long gone, if that were the case.

I hope someone told Crystal but who would? I would think Amber would not know her phone number or address. RC is secretive. TN would share the fact RC has someone new (just to put the knife in) but wouldn't dare tell her the age of Misty...can't see that happening.

I think CS was fine with RC having custody,I think it was others that were not. IMO. I think CS was pushed (bullied) into filing for custody, it obviously was not important to her, IMO.

Haleigh Update: Bar Complaint Against Former Lawyer Picazio Filed By Crystal Sheffield Dismissed

The often villified former pro-bono attorney for the biological mother of 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings who was abducted from her Satsuma, FL home in February is walking away this week with some sense of vindication.

The Florida Bar Association has dismissed the complaints against attorney Kim Picazio alleged by Crystal Sheffield.

In the complaint, Crystal Sheffield alleged that:


"...Ms. Picazio violated Rule 4-1.6 by disclosing confidential information concerning her representation of Crysal related to the search and investigation of her missing child, Haleigh Cummings. Crystal also contend that Ms. Picazio did not act with diligence in filing a modification of he child support.Ms. Picazio responded to the allegations in the complaint and rebuttal with specific denials of each allegation and a detailed history of her involvement in the case (see the letter)."

In this 97.3 The Sky exclusive podcast interview, attorney Kim Picazio blames a blogger for spreading falsehoods over the internet and worming her way into the confidence of Marie Griffis and Crystal Sheffield. Picazio also claims she advised against the controversial Sam Watkins Concert and wanted Pay-Pal links and wording on the Haleighbug Center website that asked for donations to be removed.

One thing of interest to come from that is Kim puts to rest the allegations Crystal was NEVER SERVED the custody papers back in 2005. Guess we can put THAT to rest.

I am speechless really. I don't know what to think but I just really want to know why it was more important to get the child support payment lowered instead of filing an emergency hearing for custody of Jr . This is what is being released! I can't imagine all the information that is being held back. I am speechless really.

Is the bar association stating that they investigating the allegations that crystal made against Kp and found them to be unwarranted?

Did I read it right, KP was hired to take down the child support amount and not file an emergency petition?

ETA.....Regardless of the information that has came out today I still DO NOT believe that Crystal Sheffield was involved in Haleigh's disappearance.
But, I am becoming convinced that Crystal might have a more productive life is she could find a place to live that wasn't under her Mother's thumb.

Right, I mean it can be argued that some kids out there dont get enough attention because their parents are on message boards all day picking apart a missing childs mom, its just a viscous cycle!

No I am not fingerless, thank God.

I have to take the information that was released today just the same as I take all the information that we have about Ronald that has came out in the past. If information can be confirmed then it deserves to be talked about and discussed.

I still do not think Crystal took Haleigh or has information that anyone in her family took her.

I realize that I am bumping up a post that you made yesterday and I apologize for that, but I was hoping you might be able to give a little bit of clarification on your statement that Connie Sheffield took the photographs that Crystal gave to KP. While I was re-reading the thread yesterday evening(it was moving very quickly there for a bit!)I must have missed that part of your post. I think it might be important debs, so if you do have something that shows CONNIE took the pictures could you point me in the direction of it?

I will tell you where my frame of mind is right now. I always assumed that Marie took the abuse photo's, and if she DIDN'T, I think that is important. I do not hold a high opinion of Marie and if my opinion is wrong I need to educate myself as to what the real facts are .

If Connie took the abuse pictures and held them and was the first person that Junior told about the man in black, I find those two things suspicious. Why was Connie questioning Junior about the night Haleigh went missing? Has Connie taken a lie detector test? Has Marty, Crystal's father taken a LDT? They both live in Satsuma and would have direct knowledge of when Ronald worked and who was with Haleigh while he worked. So I ask again, do you know that Connie S was indeed the person that took the alleged abuse pictures? Thank you debs for any info you might have.

I am not sure if there was a thread for Connie and Marty, perhaps we might need to open one if there isn't. I think that there were a lot of reports that all came out right around the same time and it would have been very easy to have the attention diverted to Ron and Misty's marriage or the man in black story. I just want to be clear on what the facts are and whether or not the person that was offering those facts is credible and without motive to snatch Haleigh themselves.

Elle, it was Connie and not Marie that took those pics.

And I went back and I found the relative of Crystal`s who took the pictures, she told me the weekend before Thanksgiving. She`s a registered nurse, works in a pediatrician`s office. And she said she saw Haleigh`s injuries and just said, Oh, my God, Crystal, what happened? And that`s when she took out her camera and started taking pictures.

And Curve, what do you think about the information that Connie was the individual with whom the "man in black" story originated? Because I always thought it came directly from Crystal and Marie. I will just come right out and say that I find it suspicious that Connie, a step grandparent was speaking to JR about the night Haleigh went missing. She must have asked him if he saw anything or if he remembered anything about that night and while I might understand the mother of the missing child asking RJ those things, I think it is suspicious that Connie was asking Junior these things.

I couple the man in black story with the alleged abuse pictures and honestly, their proximity to Ronald and where he lived with the children. Marty and Connie Sheffield would have direct knowledge of what was going on in that home. When i watched the video of Geraldo interviewing Crystal and the other members of the Sheffield family Marty never looked into the camera's once. He stared completely in the other direction, off into the woods or something. I will see if I can find the video.
