From what I am reading and seeing, I don't think CS had anything to do with taking Haleigh. Not because she is above it, but because she didn't want too. She didn't fight Ron for custody of Haleigh or Jr, because she didn't fight for herself. I think being young, no self confidence, no money, being addicted and being afraid made the pot she is stewing in. She has Chad's kids, their child together, and Ron had their kids. She didn't pay the support, because she didn't work, or couldn't work, or had an addiction and didn't work, or no education, or no car, just pick one. Bottom line; I don't see her as a fighter. I see her mom as a fighter now, but what about before Haleigh went missing?
If you think the Sheffields went to all this trouble to save poor Haleigh, knowing it wouldn't erase the child support debt, who did they pass her off too? And more importantly why? It costs money to hid a kid out. If you can't afford the $350 a month for two kids and are facing jail time, where are ya getting money to hid this kid? I love the idea that they did this for her, because it makes me feel like she was so loved, and cared about by that family they risked going to jail for kidnapping and fraud for god knows how long, but frankly I don't think that anyone cared that much. If the story ends this way, it means she is alive and well taken care of, but I don't think anyone went to this sort of lengths for her. Sorry. JMO
