Crystal S., Haleigh's mother

I suppose it is difficult to get any rest in a tent with people laughing and "partying". Not an appropriate way to keep up a vigil for a missing child, but to each his own.

Since we're not getting down to brass tacks here today, anyway, I'd like to register my displeasure with the name of this whole thread.

Crystal S, biological mom

'Scuse me? Far as I can tell, Crystal S is the only mom.

So, supposing Crystal was part of a conspiracy to get Haleigh back, just how long could Haleigh be hidden, and if this plan was discovered, does she have a boatload of evidence to prove that RC and MC were abusive? It seems like this whole thing would just backfire on her.

You're right- and rational. But I think any parent who is desperate enough to kidnap their own child is less than rational and probably doesn't think past immediate gratification.

However, I really don't think Crystal OR Ron were involved or complicit in Haleigh's abduction.

Misty? Possibly.

An associate of Ron's? Possibly.

A random pedophile? Possible but not probable.

Since the visit was during the day there is no reason to be critical of noise interfering with rest.

I agree pirate

I think Crystal's demeanor has more to do with a general sense of defeat and exhaustion than anything else.

I posted something similar, instead of using the word defeat, I used the word resigned.

It appears that all of the players have had their run-ins with the authorities, and the spotlight that is Haleigh's disappearance is falling in turn on each and every one of them. There is only so much a person can take before they collapse mentally and physically.

I believe it is because there is another Crystal who is not the bio mom. His sister is also named Crystal. It is to avoid confusion.

That is how I interpreted it. I'm glad it is named that way, I, myself, am having a hard time keeping the names of everyone seperated.

I would have to think that there was never an intent to keep Haleigh alive.

During the same visit at the same period of time, I noted that Ronald was said to be resting. It says alot about the somber mood surrounding him and how his family is reacting in the situation.

The contrast is glaring, imo.

That point, in of itself, is the paramount reason that would lead me to believe that Crystal did not stage anything. I don't see Ron or Crystal killing their daughter.

Hey, pirate. The only justification on Crystal's part that she could fashion in her mind to stage an abduction would be to:

shine the spotlight on what was happening to her daughter while in Ron and Misty's care

and feeling that she just didn't have anything else to lose and/or -0 prospects of ever getting Haleigh back.

All it says to me is that you have different people reacting differently. I guess some could question why Ron appears to be "hiding" in his trailer. I guess he is doing what he needs to do, and the others are doing what they need to do. I guess it just depends on what you are looking for in their reactions to prove what ever theory you are working on.

You as in everyone....lol

;-)

As a person with 2 moms, I just had to state that.

How about Crystal S - Haleigh's mom.

Good points.

This is going to come across horribly, but I just don't see her as caring enough to do that. And that doesn't mean that I don't think she loves her kids- but I do think that she's not one that would fight like hell and rock the boat.

After all, she lost the kids in the first place for not having her act together and fighting to win. I just don't think she has that "eye of the tiger" win at all costs drive in her.

Some people make things happen. Other people tend to let things happen.

I think Crystal is the latter.

I see it as Crystal having a great deal of hands on support and visitors in direct contrast to Ron not having anyone other than his mother providing him support.

And that speaks volumes.

A mother's desperation could be born out of knowing that your daughter is being sexually abused.

How many other women have had to take this road in an effort to save their child?

True enough. However, I have watched enough of these cases to say a "party" atmosphere is not the norm for a family who is sick from worry and grieving the loss of a child from their arms.

I have not been there. I do not know if it's a party or not.

Do we know which one LE talked to last, c or r?
