In addition claiming to LE that someone in your care is mentally challenged (disabled) and you abuse them could subject you to even more serious criminal charges.

The defense attorney comes across as defensive. He’s not doing his client any favors.
People have a right to be angry, it’s not every day that you see such inhumane behavior toward another person. The poor victim - I cant imagine the suffering he endured. It’s a miracle he did not die. Id say he had the will to live.

Yep...Loannis Kaloidis had best change his strategy because so far what's been coming out of his mouth won't fly with a jury.
IIRC, Soon after KS was arrested he said something like
He could have or why didn't he just walk out of the house?

Kaloidis's victim blaming is reprehensible yet from the get-go he sees it as a defense strategy.

Hard to accuse them as being complicit as they most likely were also abused. HOWEVER, the boyfriend of one of the sisters DID know what was going on, and he should be fully questioned.
I haven't seen where the bf who said,...mother in law, in the vid show he was aware, I mean out loud so that we know. THOSE two half sisters will def be GRILLLLLLLLLLLED. NO living around anywhere now where people knowwww the story now.

In addition she has claimed in her arrest warrant and to LE AR the fire scene that the victim suffers from mental issues.
Was he receiving any kind of govt assistance?
Oh, what just hit me is if she had applied for any assistance throughout the years the victim's issues would have been investigated and KS would have had to produce him.
This tragic case is filled with Catch- 22 situations.

I disagree that one gets off the hook because they "most likely were abused".
From all that's been reported they had access to schooling and a life outside the house and no one that knew them has said that they ever expressed concern for KS's 2 daughters.
The husband of the daughter in the car should be questioned and I assume he already has been or will be but the 2 sisters are grown-up adults and still did nothing about the victim so they're on the top of my Totem Pole.
We don't even know if they also abused the victim throughtout the years,
LE did say at the scene that one sister went to the hospital that the ambulance took the victim to.
As a relative she could see him but the $64,000 question is did he want to see her and if he did what was said.
Oh, I didn't hear that, she went to the hospital. ODD. Agree with all. THEY definitely could of helped him, they knew how the outside world worked. They saw him most likely at times, his condition. That step mother is nothing but a scrawny waste. There could be no hold over them, they were out and on their own. One is a vet tech, takes care of sick animals, really?? Never will I buy into they were abused into fear once they were out of her clutches. I understand PTSD, or that if anyone found out from them, they'd be in trouble too threat perhaps. WELL, now they are. HE is an amazing human. Also, when teenagers, or even a bit younger, the knew food was withheld, they knew he was a prisoner!!!

When this hit the news I was curious if the 2 daughters lawyered up because an interview with LE was on it's way.
Lawyers cost a lot of money.
IIRC..the fire took place about a month before KS's arrest and she had IK's legal council when she appeared in court the first time so where did he come from and what's the $$$ arrangement?
I don't think you get a court appointed/public defender before you're arrested?

From what I've heard, it's incredibly surprising to find out what can be claimed/funded as a disability (with little to no documentation) but fully understand what you are saying. I thought about her taxes because there absolutely has to be a reason/motive to do this, and we know she was always in financial straits...
She has a PRINTER in that chaos of a house, nicely displayed on a stand - accessible enough that he was able to grab some of the paper to thankfully start the fire that brought this all to light (very upset he was harmed in that event, but it was out of desperation, clearly). Guarantee she was using it, often. In my job I see people fake documentation allllll the time, so I think to establish financial motive, it will involve whichever device she would print from - that is where I would look.
Also, I agree, it is absolutely tragic - looking for the dots to connect!

The abuse case is very strong in CT (lived there for years), so that will almost definitely get them off the hook (especially since this started when they were minors). They will/should be interrogated, absolutely, but my guess is that is how things will play out with them. The Grandmother...not so sure about.
EVERYONE else from the <outside> needs to be talked to - I wonder how many people have door cameras on that street? How many others had interactions with him? I'm sure everyone is staying silent right now out of fear.
Regarding the hospital visit - I'm sure it was genuine, and the conversation is definitely something to question, but at this point we'll never know - just speculation.

In October 2018, police responded to a 911 call from the home. A report indicates an officer spoke with Kimberly Sullivan, who said she had a verbal disagreement with her husband about their marriage while they were in their car. Sullivan said the fight didn't become physical and said she wanted to cancel calling the police because her husband had already left for work, the police report states. Then in 2020, Sullivan filed a harassment complaint against a man she described as the ex-boyfriend of a family member. Police also responded to render medical assistance in October of that year…
Police said DCF workers also visited the home, but it's not clear what the agency did. The man told police Sullivan made him tell authorities everything was OK under the threat of his food being reduced.…

If KS was also emaciated with a filthy body, matted hair, and rotten teeth while living in this repugnant environment I'd say she had a chance for some kind of mercy from the state and prosecutors would not be looking to take her to trial.

Might not be, of course. Still, harassing your ex mother-in-law is not that common. Maybe what she saw as harassment was connected to someone not agreeing with some of her actions, one way or the other.
The 2 daughters may get a pass when they were minors but as adults it would think there are laws that could make them culpable.
From cases of abuse I've followed enablers rarely get charged though and I doubt they will be, not that I agree with that.
So far it's been crickets on the sister's front and I'm curious if what the victim says about the 2 sisters and his BIL will hold any water with the prosecution.
