Just a thought, suicide? note giving details?
love, rage, passion?
My beautiful neighbor girl was murdered and a few days later a boy her age OD on drugs.
We always thought he was the killer, but no proof.
Police seem to know no one else is in dnger and no arrest yet.......ping pong about it and no arrests........maybe this is what happened.

oops just saw the date above as 2007.....no relation to this boys death and Annie......

Here's a better picture showing it's a book of some sort and maybe a file/folder/or notebook underneath:

While I don't have a firm timeline of events in my head, this to me looks like it is possibley a "re-entry" into the building, since Annie appears to be holding an animal, and I believe she had her purse etc. upon going to the building at 10 am.

By the reflection in the windows, it DOES appear to be an outside entrance. If she didn't need her key to get in, perhaps it's because the person holding the door went with her to go outside (could an animal have escaped out of an open window or something?)

We can't assume that this photo was her 1st entry into the building, that's for sure.

I believe we compared these pretty thoroughly in yesterdays threads. So you don't have to wade through them: We concluded the photo is the same as the one that appeared in the papers, although the papers photo was cropped. Wanttohelp's photo is sized funny. But put the two photos side by side - foot position on tile pattern is exactly the same, Annie's head position, exactly the same. Annie was carrying books & perhaps a ring binder. One of the items she carried seems to be in open position.

Watching FOX news.........won't tell matter of death.......but homecide

no suspect in custody........LE dancing around the investigation!

Still wondering why they couldn't ID the body upon removal from the wall space yesterday, and we had to wait for an autopsy ...

Its not just that they needed to Id her, but they also need to determine cause of death and time of death, etc. in order to make any prosecution stick. Don't want any questions later about accident, drug use, suffocation, any thing that will let someone get away with this crime. OR, regarding time of death, they don't want a defendant to be able to say, hey she died at 9 pm, and I was at a faculty meeting/church service/tennis match etc.

Now, they are making me think there's a good reason why they will not tell us manner of death.

I'm not watching - those of you that are - can you tell us if:

1) The ME does KNOW the matter of death, but isn't telling?

Or

2) The reason they won't tell is they don't know yet?

As of Monday afternoon, the police had no suspects in custody in the investigation of graduate student Annie Le’s apparent grisly death, Police Chief James Lewis said.
He told the Independent that his cops have been busy interviewing “and reinterviewing” “lots of people.” The department will not reveal the names of interviewees or “persons of interest,” according to Lewis.
“We don’t want to destroy people’s reputations,” Lewis said.
The last time a Yale student death attracted a national media frenzy — the 1998 murder of undergraduate Suzanne Jovin — cops publicly floated the name of a professor as a “person of interest.” He was never tied to the murder. He said his career suffered greatly as a result of the exposure.

ok LE... I can get the reputation... but is this why Suzanne's case has never been solved?

I think Fox is getting COD and MOD confused. Manner of death would be homicide. I'm pretty sure it's Cause of Death that's being held back.

Seems from the reports that the ME is finished positively ID her and DOES know the cause of death but wont release the info yet.

per the reporter on the ground on FOX with S.Smith, ME is not releasing COD to protect the investigation.

It is odd. The body wouldn't have decomposed that much, not unless the wall space was excessively hot. I'm wondering if she was badly beaten to the point of unrecognizable.
