I have found that XXX does indeed satisfy all the criteria mentioned in the comment on the nhregister and reproduced in this thread by Want To Help. If (and that is a big if) it is the case that the comment on nhregister has identified the suspect, then XXX is the suspect. No more circles. No more ambiguity. See for yourself.
"XXX attends Yale as an undergrad and works for Professors connected with Bennett Labs. He helps Bennett Labs publish an article in 2004/2005."
Well, here is an article fitting that description and it has XXX's name:

And I have found another article fitting that description (published in 2004) in which XXX receives an honorable mention for his "technical assistance."
Also, if you do an intelius search, you will see XXX also lived in Rochester, NY.
Important Caveat: successfully identifying the suspect under consideration is not the same as identifying the actual culprit.
