GUILTY CT - Cynthia Cannon, 35, Wolcott, 6 May 2010

Webrocket, are you using knowx.com for your info? I see via knowx that Cynthia's maiden name is Dunn, and it does appear that he's been married twice before. Knowx.com is a great resource. You pay by the record, unless you have a subscription. If anyone would like to check, go to the site, type his name in either marriage or divorce records, choose CT as state, as you will see the preliminary report. You don't pay unless you want the actual details. TOS of knowx precludes publishing info you get from them online (I'm pretty sure). But it's helpful to use (with or without paying) when trying to verify things.

My gracious, that poor woman...

For the love of all that's good and holy, why does murder have to be the answer?

Police declined to elaborate on the specific evidence tying Patrick to the crime, however Acting Police Chief Neil O'Leary said evidence in both the Spindle Hill Road home and Cannon's Jeep strongly suggested a "very serious incident" had happened.

From article darling gal posted.

More and more I'm dreading finding out what the evidence was that was strong enough to charge him with murder without her body even being found.

Poor Cynthia :(

My guess either a large amount of blood evidence or brain matter/tissue.

"When police entered the house at 207 Spindle Hill Road in Wolcott on Sunday morning, they found "large amounts" of blood, some on the couch on which Cynthia Cannon slept, and some on the wall above it..."

"Investigators found a trail of blood that led from the house to the back porch, on the stairs from the porch to the driveway and on the driveway itself, according to court documents...."

"Cynthia Cannon, 35, was last seen Thursday night. Police found her Jeep Liberty on Cemetery Road in Waterbury on Sunday, with human blood inside the cabin and blood spatter on the rear bumper, according to a warrant for Patrick Cannon's arrest..."

Posting on mobile device, so no pics, but there are some in court and the looks this man is getting...I just don't get how someone could do something so horrible and permanent over money. And so many times, it's just that.

I'm wondering if those kids were in the house Friday morning long enough to see all of that blood...I surely hope not. Apparently he didn't do any cleaning from the time of the murder Thurday night/ early Friday morning until the police entered the house Sunday night and saw all of the blood? I find it hard to believe that LE didn't enter the house to look for her when she was reported missing Friday night?

Did this guy think for one moment that Le would not find the blood in the house? Would believe she simply stepped out and forgot to come back? Unreal...

Cynthia Cannon, 35, was last seen Thursday night. Police found her Jeep Liberty on Cemetery Road in Waterbury on Sunday, with human blood inside the cabin and blood spatter on the rear bumper, according to a warrant for Patrick Cannon's arrest.

In a wooded area near Scoville Reservoir on Woodtick Road in Wolcott, police found a blood-soaked Coleman sleeping bag. Nearby, they found a bloody nylon rope and an unidentified article of clothing, the warrant states.

Cynthia was reported missing Friday, and LE didn't enter the house until Sunday? wth??

I hope to God those poor little kids didn't see all the blood.

Praying for Cynthia's children.

Leaving blood all over the house and drive and not even trying to clean it, the car, tossing the sleeping bag where it could be found.....it almost sounds like he really had given up on everything and decided going to prison where he will have a free place to live and free meals was a better option than keeping on with his life. Unbelievable. Poor Cynthia. And those children :-( Are they HIS children or did she maybe have them from a previous marriage?

  • #74
The older one, 9 was from a previous marriage...the younger, 5, I believe, was from this marriage. I'll go back a verify.

  • #75
If that's what he thought, I'm just guessing this doughboy isn't ready for what's a-coming.

  • #76
Ya, that's correct...a boy, 5, from this marriage and a girl, 9, from Cynthia's previous marriage. Those poor kids....this is nauseating to say the least...

  • #77
This is all just so sick. Those kids had to deal with blood all over the house, driveway, and car for three days, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, until the police arrived?? I'm just praying Mr. Genius here sent them somewhere on Friday morning--say, to relatives or friends.

I see an insanity plea on the horizon, one that just might actually stick.

Wolcott, Conn. (WTNH) - A Wolcott man was arraigned Monday morning on murder charges, even though police have not yet found his wife's body.
Patrick Cannon appeared before a judge at Waterbury Superior Court. Bond was kept at $3 million.
Cynthia Cannon hasn't been seen since Thursday; Patrick reported her missing on Friday. Police found her Jeep Liberty abandoned in a lot on Cemetery Road over the weekend.

According to the affidavit, blood was found in and around the Jeep. Large amounts of blood were also found in the home, on the rear porch and back steps and on the driveway.
Police also reported finding a nylon rope and a bloody sleeping bag discarded on Woodtick Road.

The couple's Spindle Hill Road is in foreclosure. They have a five year old child together and Cynthia has a 9-year old daughter from a previous relationship.
Friends say there were marital problems and the couple may have been headed toward divorce.
