Pawel Gumienny's attorney, Lindy Urso, spoke with us outside the courthouse about his client. Here's some of what he said.
He was adament his client has nothing to do with Jennifer Dulos' disappearance: "Look, he went in there and talked to the police before he hired me, before he had the immunity agreement. He talked to the police even after he hired me against advice."
Regarding how the past two days have been for Gumienny: "It's been very difficult, the whole thing's been very difficult the last five years. I think the last two days are sort of mixed because he hates the spotlight, he's a very private individual but by the same token, we're here now, and this is the beginning of the end of the circus for him so he can get back to his life."

Did defence counsel actually say he lost his notes or notebook?

Seems a bit implausible as he had the book the other day and it didn’t seem to help him much that I could see.

Maybe it’s a different notebook that is designed to help and not hurt his work?

JS asks for leeway. He says he has endured days of negative testimony from the State. Recognizes that the Court sees it as a waste of time but JS requests leeway.

Judge says it's the length of time JS is wasting to get to proper questions.

Objection.

Judge: that ground has been plowed. It's a waste of time. No more discussion of the Chinese restaurant.

JS leads with the Chinese restaurant and the Judge halts him. Ground, plowed. Sustained.

Judge R set a boundary with the Chinese restaurant!

Kudos to Judge R.

Defence counsel ran back to his laptop and added speech restriction to the appeal document!
