Two afternoon witnesses
State has one case to present.

Lunch recess until 2:15.

Two witnesses planned for this afternoon, testimony will be very brief.

Does this mean ME no longer appearing today?

I thought earlier the state referenced two lay witnesses and ME

No, I took earlier comment to mean that ME would be the second witness. Not sure how that could be brief though unless its just for evidence ID and then ME comes back later? Kinda confused on that as ME testimony usually takes such a long time and here has to cover SO much ground too....

There is no body, so the ME isn't going to have much to say.

I think the blood found at Wells and in the garbage dump, lead the ME to testify JFD could not have survived the attack.

I believe that was a couple of years ago. Does anyone else remember that?

Yes, his report was released. He said she could not have survived the loss of that amount of blood. But maybe he will testify about the white hard substance that had JD's blood on it.

I'm not sure about this as the last time in the AA the ME had alot to say about everything that happened in the garage at Welles. Jury doesn't have benefit of ME report from AA either so far as I know.

From that time we have the additional blood evidence on the tee shirt and bra that wasn't I believe in public view at the time of the AAs and then there is the issue of identifying and discussing "white plastic object per Defence" which to me at least looked like teeth that were embedded in a jaw fragment that was quite cleanly cut and imo no way not a significant piece of evidence.

Then there is "Cross side step into Testimony" and you have hours possibly....

Ooh, MT told the GAL she was going to leave FD due to the custody battle
Now THAT would have made a claim of being uninvolved except in providing a motive to Fotis.

IF she was smart enough to come clean right after the crime.

Too late. Too bad. So sad.

Today we have 1 LE, 2 lay witness' and Dr. Gill/ME

In addition, LE collected scrapings of biological material at the behest of the ME.

If the white hard object is biological in nature, the ME can sharpen the scope of survivability. JFd was declared deceased. My guess-- biological material that doesn't belong on the outside of the body was found on the side and undercarriage of a vehicle parked adjacent to the site of a violent, bloodletting event.

= deceased.

If the white hard object is biological, even more evidence for the ME's determination.

And if that white hard object shows any sign of mechanical separation....

Yes.

By my count, we've heard from LE and the car wash owner.

That leaves one lay witness (bike video) and the ME for this afternoon.

I did not hear anything about this afternoon's witnesses being brief --

I did hear, this morning, that the lay witnesses would be brief.

Hoping the ME has much to say.

And JS doesn't.

Maybe the ME is the topic of presentation that will happen without the jury after lunch? Mainly JS’s objections

Might we see argument at 2pm without jury. I couldn’t tell by the conversation.

Yes, that was ME conclusion but jury hasn’t heard it yet.

Which is strange given it’s a business expense for Fore.

Wouldn’t that be a kicker to use corporate card to pay for murder trip clean up. Can’t you just imagine convo with the accountant?
Sickly hilarious. MOO

JS is describing the process of getting a car wash. Riveting.

I am sorry if I missed it, was it clear to the jury that Michelle followed Fotis to the car wash? TIA
