JS took up most of the day with untimely motions.

His win for the day, however, cost the State its final witness for the day. The State had no other witnesses ready. Therefore court was adjourned.
Are we going to see the ME at all? Is he out or will his testimony just be very limited? I must say, the Judge’s ruling on this frustrates me.

I saw a backpack too
Good catch. Seriously that video made my stomach drop. Wonder what the jury is thinking besides being possibly peeved to have so much time wasted today.

Does anyone know where his Weed St. farm is on a map?

I have to wonder if the jury will find MT guilty if ME isn’t going to testify.

I'm fascinated by MT walking out without acknowledging/saying goodbye her attorneys.

I have to trust the Judge. He is neither capricious nor reactive, and I know that this is the way of trials-- some motions are allowed, some are denied. It just feels off that the Stste can't call a forensic pathologist to offer and expert witness in a murder/conspiracy to murder case.

The Judge upholds the integrity of the jury always.

Perhaps he was moved more by the power of appeal. If this ME's opinion is cumulative but also (unfairly) prejudicial, perhaps he hands the future appeal to the Defense. So he rules conservatively, confident the State can present its case and the jury can weigh what is allowed, determining from other witness testimony whether they believe JFd was murdered.

I don't like the ruling.

But I'm willing to place my faith in the jury.

Your thinking might be correct but the jury most likely will no wonder why the ME cant appear as it’s just human nature to look to medical professional even though you might believe something to be true. I don’t like this ruling and I think it’s prejudicial against the state and that bothers me greatly.

The death of JF is the core of this entire episode and so to have no dr opine is something I just don’t understand.

I missed last two hrs due to work so will go back and review the whole whining episode.

I think she’s upset about the phone records. That’ll do more damage than the ME-it’s already established that JFD is dead, no matter what JS says.

Manning then showed footage outside of Holson’s home facing Weed Street. The videos showed a bicyclist riding down Weed Street at 7:31 a.m. on May 24, 2019, and again at 10:30 a.m.

Waveny Park is about a mile south of Holson’s home, he testified.

Investigators believe Fotis Dulos parked his employee’s pickup truck on Lapham Road, near Waveny Park, in New Canaan and then used his childhood bicycle — which he had brought with him from Greece when he came to the U.S. — to traverse to his estranged wife's homeabout 3 miles away on Welles Lane.

I agree but the ME issue makes no sense imo.

The way MT is behaving in court makes me think she's going to do a runner. She was like this last week too.

I realize it would be nice to have a medical professional opine on the iikelihood that JD is deceased, but do not believe it is absolutely necessary. No body, no autopsy, etc., these are what ME usually testifies about so it does not appear to hurt the prosecution that much IMHO. Perhaps one of the investigators can testify that there has been no activity on her bank accounts, credit cards, social security, etc. and that would close that loop a bit for the jury?

Yep, I’m also concerned that she has some type of alternate plan. I hope LE is watching closely.

I’ll have to go back and look again.

Where is the Daily Mail with their photos on this?
the bike clip right before they show the Black Suburban go by.

I agree.

I don't like it one bit.

Defendants should never get an advantage at trial because there's no body.

No ME can say more than the State's ME. Because there's no body  to autopsy.

The most they can do is testify based on evidence presented to them in light of their training and experience.

I hope the State can say, in closing, "we would have liked to present an ME to testify to the nature of JFd's death but we cannot. Because FD and MT conspired to disappear her body permanently, preventing an ME from ever conducting an autopsy. However, we've all seen, with our own eyes, the blood on JFd's bra, shirt. Her blood on the ponchos, still pooled and wet.

"We're here today because FD and MT wanted JFd dead."
