Thank u for this, JS keeps saying 30 minutes from Waveny park to JF - but we knew it had to be closer.
JS hasn't gotten one bit of NC info correct so far imo. I don't think he has ever been and if he simply had taken the time to drive the route and circle around town he wouldn't continue to make such silly and frankly stupid unnecessary errors.

But, if you notice he always gives NC directions in such a way as to overstate distance and misstate possibilities (such as JF walking to train station etc.). He imo is doing this deliberately. Thing is that I bet at least one person on that jury has been to Waveny and even if they don't know where Welles is located, it will be clearly understood where the bike video was taken etc.

I'm fascinated by MT walking out without acknowledging/saying goodbye her attorneys.
Her “team” looked deflated at end of day. MT was probably expecting some “wins” today, probably sick if men telling her they are “winning” at court for her when they are actually losing.

Was she positioned in a way conducive to checking the drain for standing water?
As I recall, she had her feet perched at the edge of the curb (you can see her shoes in the surveillance video) and was bending down as though her rear end was leaning against the side edge of the passenger seat (rather than bending down from a position of standing fully upright).

Bike at 7:30. Suburban at 10:30.

Thanks. That’s what I alway thought, but the way it was worded I thought bike again!

The bike ride from Lapham Rd/Waveny to 69 Welles where JF was located could take 20 min or so depending on route taken.

The point I wanted to clarify was the distance from Lapham Rd./Waveny to Weed Farm (owned by witness we saw today) was no more than a mile.

I posted the map above so its possible to visualise the situation as for me at least I always think that is easier.

Hi all … decided to jump back into the chat after several years. I’m a local and have lived the case since Day 1. Dog walk at Waveny everyday, seeing the Justice for Jennifer shrine and drive past Welles lane. It all continues to haunt!
Thank you for all your comments and updated insights during this trial. I watch everyday as well and will contribute if I have anything. Hoped to get to courthouse and this trial is truly like watching paint dry but I am keeping high hope alive!
Glad to see another local following along! Welcome back!

If she dropped something in, she would've been listening for the splash...

Why did they choose such a public place to stop?
I don't think they believed they would ever be on camera. Whole thing still stuns me. I don't know why they simply din't bury or burn everything. MOO

It’s obvious that she is dead, not allowing ME prevents JS from doing a cross examination of ME and all the JS salad which is good. Jury will figure it out.
If JS makes a big point of JF being alive in his closing, I think the jury not going to buy-in to that idea. And, in any event, if she IS alive, what the heck were MT and FD doing on 24th? Why were they chucking bags of her blood-soaked clothes, license plates, bicycle tape, car juggling etc
Agree - the judge is correct - the jury knows shes dead from what they have heard and seen IMO. So the loss of the ME testimony is okay.

I could not watch today but from what I read it was an overall win with MTs phone records coming in.

I do believe they def need to haul in Mawhinney. I think they had a deal that fell apart with him and he is pushing for total immunity or something. We'll see what happens

I believe JS's strategy is to spring the arcane cases on the Judge today and not in a proper motion to push the Judge into a time corner.

JS is saying the warrant should be suppressed because of overbreadth, redundant...
Yes, but I have to admit to being quite surprised today how the State effectively had to restate the proper summaries of the Defence provided cites and the Judge R certainly wasn't buying the Defence cites either imo as it seemed he had either done the prior research himself or fired up his research atty to do the work over the past few days.

FWIW I find it more than a bit shocking to not be able to believe Defence Atty summaries of the case law they are presenting on behalf of their client. Just seems like such a cornerstone of our system and the rules of the Court etc.

Guess I'm just an ignorant bumpkin to think that case citations should be accurately summarised.

Going back to the turnip patch.

Do you have a presumptive test for that turnip?

I'm still catching up on the afternoon trial but on the surface I agree with you about the ME. But, its disappointing and could play in different ways depending on age of jurors imo. I think older jurors would want ME while younger ones might care as much and feel ok making their own choice. Speculation on my part completely though!

Thing though is that people are funny about having a DR opinion on things and Defence Coun

sel knows this. What makes me angry is that I don't think all the case cites he used for this particular argument are correctly summarised. But, at this point its water under the bridge and so the case goes on.

Just sprayed it with Luminol and the damn thing "lit up like a Christmas tree"!

I've added luminol to my birthday list as it seems like such a useful thing to have in the closet!

Don't you think!

We are slowly putting pieces together!

-At 10:25 AM, Jennifer’s car was seen leaving Welles Lane.
-At 10:30 AM, Jennifer’s car was seen on Weed Street.

This is consistent with how long it would actually take driving that distance per Maps.

You are correct! Lots of lying men in MT life! I'm just glad that the motion put a stake through the heart of the discredited Dr Herman report. But, its not over so buckle up!

We now know that FD made no stops during this small 5 minute window.
Actually I think he paused once. To gather his bicycle.

Had there been more busses along Lapham Road that day, I suspect dash cam would have seen FD transfer his bike from the Suburban to the Tacoma. I'm still undecided about how or where or whether he transfered a makeshift bodybag from on to the other.

I really need to know where KM was every minute of that day

Precisely-what WERE they doing? How could JFD know that on the day she planned to “disappear” that it would coincidentally be the same day that fD would drive his employee’s truck to New Canaan, when he left his phone at home, for his gf to answer, because he was expecting a ohone call feom Greece? JFD must be psychic! This way, she could disappear, AND make sure he and his honey were blamed!

JS stated today that the ME shouldn’t testify without a body or body parts. Does that mean the white thing that they found is not a body part of Jennifer? That’s what I immediately thought.

I agree, he probably jumped out to get the bike where he hid it and drove like a maniac the whole time over the speed limit to compensate.

Sadly we don't know the answer to your question yet.

I do wonder though if a forensic anthropologist might help with that ID or address the issue of JD death if the ME can't do it based on ruling? IDK if such an expert is on the list for the State but perhaps they have someone on the list that could do this task?
