I’ve had to review flame fabric burn results for certain cloth items, boring I know.
It would be helpful to know if a traditional fireplace, wood/pellet stove, or some sort of bbq or pizza oven or furnace was in that East Chimney stack.
Wood or pellet/fuel stove can burn very hot and fire is contained behind door minimizing smell into home.
Cotton burns well, leaves powder ash.
Cotton blend with synthetic, or silk, wool can leave a sticky or lump residue or cause pieces to fly up and deposit in flue or chimney. Cotton doesn’t smell bad. Wool, silk smells like burning hair, synthetics like chemicals. Buttons, zips, rivets, hooks get left behind either as metal or lump of plastic.
IMO- they burned their own stuff, paper towels, paper, maybe the timelines, SIM card?, latex gloves and lists of things to do. Maybe own clothes but doubtful any large synthetic items (phone, sneakers) as would have left melt & smell (unless they could collect in a tray and dispose, but can’t imagine burning sneakers in the fireplace). They could get rid of ash multiple ways, out car window, back of pickup, toilet, sewers, gardening in “fertilizer”.
Disposed at least some of JF clothes in Albany ave “outside” of their home to divert from them. Hoping she goes to dump and linked to Pavel maybe? Or signal she that she dumped herself in a dumpster?
Certain could not dispose of entire body in home fire, unless they have a massive incinerator. Many a murderers have made attempts at body burns, usually unsuccessful, esp not in a home. There would be a smell too, people would notice an unusual smell and burn would take significant time.
This was MT & FD own evidence burn IMO
Latex Gloves, paper towels, notes, lists, clothes. Not a body.
