Several minutes in…I only know the witness has a CV that is 63 pages, wide lined, and we’re getting a grammar lesson

Is she going to argue that MT doesn't have enough executive function or cognitive control to be perceived proficient in English?

  • #663
Blah blah blah, just tell us why speaking 2 languages made Michi lie to police. Thanks and have a good day!

  • #664
I’m literally at a loss, I have no clue what the heck she is talking about…can anyone else help me out? no way the jury is following this? She doesn’t even know what she is saying..

Nope, that could be accomplished by a simple intelligence test....

No comment on how I think that might have turned out....

If the second language has lower proficiency

simple grammar, native syntax, don't ask for help with words they don't understand

So so so many words.

Judge interrupts. "Counselor, maybe you could ask a question".

She is confirming that MT is highly proficient in two languages. The End

JS is verily galloping showing the C.V. to the jury.
Wondering if one leg is longer by a bit than the other - may explain that strange gait

@lucegirl…..think we have a SOS …..

Can KM enter the mix at this late date after State has rested? The witness list issue seems a bit flexible on the defence side but KM was originally on State witness list.

Oh the games…..

Moo
It’s like a game of chess.

Have you ever testified in court…NO! Makes more sense now

JS: have you ever testified in court before? NO!

L&C is on fire again today:
"Maybe "kill" in spanish means "love" ?????"
"She has an accent, and we get it, but she was in the car with FOTIS"
"If your memory is bad and your English isn’t too good, CCTV may help"
"Michie rambled on and on not because of a language barrier. She was lying a lot."
"How many languages does this logistic expert speak and has she committed a crime cause she’s bilingual ?
"How does checking your mans texts knowing he's cheating on you work - and then DO YOU NEED LANGUAGE TO USE A KNIFE?"

MOO

So far, we can give MT a gold star. Successfully bilingual. Expert is hitting all the marks.

MT has the mind of duck feet.

He got new shoes, and only put the Dr Scholl's insert in one of them....

My guess..

Regarding the discredited report JS is desperate to get in there - I imagine it is quite damning to JFd with its purchased lies, but wouldn't the State then be able to bring in someone to talk about how it was discredited, and a desperate FD move, and was not going to work, causing FD and his side of salad even more distress? MOO.

I don’t think I can do this, I don’t normally watch live. The witness is dog paddling on the stand, and Horn is talking about ducks. Wtheck?

I ask this naively and not knowing…… on the topic of truthfulness: Was defendant asked / suggested / requested to undergo a polygraph? Or is that not allowed / used in CT police investigations? (And I am not trying to comment on their veracity or inadmissibility in court, or why they might be used - just was it ever in discussion in this case?) MOO

I'm sorry if I missed this - what happened to Petu? I thought she left the stand yesterday bc they were out of time?
