Petu said "MT was worried" on the 21st
"Because JF had disappeared"
Wait. She said the 21st
To me, the telling point on Petu (amongst many others) was her standing on the steps in front of the Press and saying,
"I've waited 5 years for this".....

What did this even mean when she did nothing to help her friend?

Colour me quite puzzled....

I have never served on a jury (they never chose me), but if I did what I would want to do first is see which counts we agree on and then work on the others where there is disagreement. So once the disagreement is resolved, it could go quickly to verdict.

I tried explaining this case and my investment to an outsider the other day.

They found it macabre, on both counts.

Why, she asked, am I interested, involved, married to this case?

I've been thinking about that.

Could've heard about it in 2019 and read about a trial outcome in 2024... and skipped the middle five years.

But I didn't. Like many here, I've followed it from the beginning, feel a duty to see it through trial.

That's when it hit me. I do it for justice. I do it because the scales get tipped toward unsavory perpetrators, and I need to see the scale righted.

These threads are a kind of testimony. Maybe just an outcry to the universe. But I feel like we have stood vigil, alongside JFd, and all women who have faced off against homicidal domestic violence. Jennifer is, in a way, every woman, but also fully one woman, a mother who adored motherhood, felt called to know each of her children as the distinct, unrepeatable souls she was eager to recognize, nurture and one day would have launched, thrilled and fulfilled for the encounter and the honor both. Both ethereal and grounded, profound and devout. Exuding both simple and complex joy...

What a contrast to the world of FD and MT. Posers, users. JFd walked on air. The other two swim in the sewer. And the sewer is left smellier because of it.

Whatever verdict the jury returns, whatever sentence received, it won't restore justice. That would require resurrection, Jennifer pulled back into this world where she'd resume mothering and blogging and just general raising the bar. Jennifer -- je ne sais quoi. Quiet class. Content and fed driving her children to school.

MT won't get what's coming to her, at least on this side of (all too fitting) fire and brimstone. She has, however, been exposed. Buyer beware. Anyone who encounters her needs to ask, "is she using me?" And the answer IMO will always be in the affirmative. She knows no other way.

Greek tragedy on so many counts.

JFd is dead because MT was born.

MT could have made something of her own self. Her brain, her build, her prowess. If she had only dedicated her time toward developing her own self, instead of usurping another's. Grifter gonna grift. She grifted JFd. She tried to steal JFd's husband, home, family, standing. She wasn't done until she stole JFd's very life.

Among her charges, she should have been charged with theft. Of the highest order.

Please let the jury get it right. Justice will be kissed if MT loses her freedoms.

@ Megnut: I wish there was a “hug”sticker! What a beautiful post this is. This murder was how I was introduced to WS. Thank you for ALL you have done!

Me too! This is the case that brought me to WS. I just read for about a year before I first posted, I was scared to screw up.

That was my experience. Anything that was niggling at any individual (even if it seemed strange) was addressed as we approached the verdict.

Trying to stay optimistic.

(above attempted to post by me - but two posts do not carry over well to a new post. For me anyway.)

Late to the game today. But my hopeful sprit (yes I am usually the cynic and pessimist) wonders if perhaps the fact that P supposedly indicates that MT was ‘worried on the 21st’ - and yet the thrust of the defense and other called witnesses for them was that all was well and positive and looking up for MT and FD in those days seems odd? It’s seems like everything in America is falling apart. Our Country is changing and so are people. The economy, politics, crime, gun violence, lower standards, rules, laws, racism, activism, genderism (if that’s even a word, yet), illegal immigration, the military….my God it just goes on and on! And We The People are the ones sitting on juries today, making the decisions. God Save America.
So frightening.

But then didn’t they have a hearing on the 22nd that didn’t change the visitation ? I guess his bubble burst.

Petu doesn’t help with the phone manipulation.
Thank you. That is key.
I'm still concerned and baffled by their request.

Sure hope the Jury made note of McG's "coincidences list". If one is stuck on one thing or another that could be a coincidence, then that list needs to be reviewed because they can't ALL BE COINCIDENCES.

Jury might be weighing up the importance of evidence, deciding - what are we going to rely on for truth.
On their easel.
Maybe just drew a line through Best Friend

If they draw a line through all the humans, and rely only on “data” - security videos, phone records, cell towers, alibi script.
I think they still get guilty.

I wonder exactly what it was that Petu could offer the jury a second time around? After all this discussion, I still wonder. She seems lame to me. Oh and she is a liar.
That's the scary part.

IF FD drove to a whole other city to throw away a couple of bags of "construction" trash and construction-y floor liners, what of the ballet of car doors? FD needed a cover for that? Throw your own debris away, lover boy. On your own time.

But here's where her lie combusts: what sort of construction debris gets filed into a FedEx mailer and mailed into the sewer of the great beyond?

What did she think it was? Drywall? Sawn 2x4s? Copper?

Smell test fail.

Jmo
FD had no houses under construction at the time they were on Albany. None. Sturbridge was done and that was last house he put up.

Entire situation of anything construction related makes no sense as Sturbridge had an empty dumpster which we all saw. MT knew this too!

Insanity to think he was getting rid of construction debris.

Did the D use Petu testimony in closing (I am in the group who could only read it - not hear it).

Wondering if Horn took liberties with something she said that the jury wanted to clarify?
Good question. Will have to go back at look at the closing bolognese he put together as it was a mess.

FD knew he had no options in family court and he lost his lawyer Atty Michael rose to help him imo torment JF.

Hopefully the jury got nothing from PETU’s testimony, but felt they needed to clarify it. To me, it was confusing as crap.
I agree. In her own words she was there to make her statement. That she distrusted LE. And knew her friend was innocent, which she decided to share on the courthouse steps with her daughter in tow.
Bizarre.

I really don’t recall that he did, bc I was thinking about her when he was doing it and wondered if he didn’t think she produced what they hoped. I could be wrong of course,….
