Missed this on the first listen of Petu--

"Yes, I called law enforcement incompetent but I bracketed it...."

...but I bracketed it...

That is  high proficiency! That's advanced proficiency for native English speakers!

That shows an absolute command of the language [and I do mean  absolute]!

Petu testified that Fotis was unable to see his children at one point. Maybe they wanted to hear that. I am trying to listen but people keep interrupting me and its annoying.

Edit to add Petu also testified that MT expressed frustration when it came to Fotis and his visitation.

Petu says 6/1 she spoke to MT and invited her over, and MT, Nicole, Marisella, and FOTIS all showed up. Fotis seemed worried. She then continues to say she never spoke to Fotis again after 5/24/19, "No, I never have."

Mini Horn is putting all this back on LE for not contacting Petu.

No consideration given for Petu ability to pick up the phone and speak with LE.

Interesting that Petu never seemed to get a subpoena either.

These are the little details we need!!! anything else stick out to anyone 2nd time around?

Also, it would appear Judge R said the foreman's name... Media will be all over that, ugh.
Omg I caught that! Did Judge forget that they are live streaming ? He also asked the name not be published

Is anyone else seeing that Petu is answering questions before Mini Horn is even finished?

This seems absolutely coached imo.

Yes, and it’s my opinion that she was either told to do this, to get it before the jury, or she’s been watching the trial, and decided on her own that it wasn’t fair that the prosecution could stop Michi’s defenders from saying their piece. It is at least, intentional on her part-and obnoxious, too.

I wonder if they are trying to figure out if she said ANYTHING to exonerate MT since she insisted over and over again she could "prove" MT is innocent.
Maybe it is about the fire.

Does anyone know why jury can’t just listen/watch the testimony in the jury room?

I do wonder if the Jury is perhaps exploring the issue of lying and deception?

Perhaps they are also exploring credibility?

If MT lied and did so repeatedly and Petu made claims that 'we share the same morals' then perhaps they see the Petu testimony as simply not credible?

Tough to know what jury is debating here.

The issue is that if your best friend had information to prove you were innocent and YET never presents it to LE even when on the stand, it just seems not credible and perhaps this is what jury is debating?

I think the Judge wants to be available to answer any questions. If the process of evidence review isn't overseen, it could become chaos in the jury room. Just a guess.

What best friend has information that could spare her BFF judgment, in court and out, and holds it close to her vest for 700 days and counting?

I smell a custody report that she can't admit to having read.

A discredited report. Sealed. Discarded.

Still, if it was my friend, I'd get over any fear of the police and want my version of the truth told over and over until I was heard.

It is my personal opinion that those who rally around the defendant, circling her with undying support, know she did it. And feel she was justified. GROSS

I don't want friends like that.

Praying for guilty verdict on all counts.

Ohhhhhhhh, good catch.

Yes, but what really bothers me about this and the Mini Horn delivery is that all of this is being done WITHOUT corroboration. This testimony is effectively pure hearsay and could have been cobbled together from whole cloth which imo is precisely what the Defence did here as we have seen them to have no scruples in their tactics.

Stunning if possible lies blow this up in the jury room.

Nobody knows who Petu is, nobody knows if or even why she should be believed either.

Does anybody on the jury see the clear pattern in the testimony delivered by each witness for the Defence?

Perhaps they do or maybe they don't.

This could easily be about the custody report. Ugh.

Petu is not logical/ rational thinker. She had described herself as obstructing justice but not in a way to benefit her good friend.
Or, she doesn’t understand what she is saying. OR, does she think MT on trial for helping FD at New Canaan? Just clueless as to why MT is sitting there.
Hope jury understands that she doesn’t make sense.

I still do not understand where this proof of innocence from Petu is. She hasn't said anything other than MT was in her store for a short time Friday morning. A fact that was never debated and has no relevance to the crime.

I'm sorry but the notion that someone would set not one, but several, fires in different fireplaces during daylight hours in late May is ridiculous. I really hope that is not why they needed her testimony played back.

I do find it encouraging the jurors asked for their notebooks. That indicates to me they are seeking to clarify a detail.
