@WS Admin -- please see post #616.

Are you still addressing/troubleshooting this issue regarding posts copied directly from official state and federal court sites which display without issue in draft but distort once user publishes and/or hits "post reply." Thanks for any update.

On 12/18/24 -- Notice of Appearance was filed by new public defender -- Pamela Nagy, Waterbury, CT office. Nagy replaces Jennifer Bourn, Hartford, CT PD's office (7/17/24).

So, a new public defender? That's interesting.

I had two thoughts -- PD Bourn of the Hartford office was probably selected for the convenience of JLS, and/or after five months, MT would be right on schedule for disrespecting or not playing nice with other women-- given her superiority nature (physical & mental). JMO.

In reviewing the State's Motion for Extension of Time within which to File its Brief (filed 12/17/24), I'm reminded that there are actually two competing appellate issues here:

1) the State's Appeal of Randolph vacating the defendant's conviction for conspiracy to commit tampering with physical evidence; and

2) MT's direct Appeal for Judgment of Convictions C.G.S. Sec. 53a-48 (2 counts), C.G.S. Sec. 53a-155 (2 counts), and C.G.S. Sec. 53a-166. MT's brief is currently due on Feb 10, 2025.

Perhaps MT was warranted in receiving two PD's for her cross claim (AC 47734) and her direct appeal (AC 47877) each.

Well, and don’t forget Mama A…we know for sure she doesn’t play nice with anyone, especially other women.

It'll be FIVE years on January 7, 2025 since the arrest of KM. How crazy is that? FIVE years and no trial. Shameful.
Yikes….. and I hear you @LosAngeles ….. a long while. But I have to wonder IMO if that uncertainty doesn’t work to an advantage. In other words, as long as that is hanging, maybe the convicted murderer conspirator isn’t quite sure which direction to turn? And there is still that ‘contempt’ charge thing. And unless and until this convicted murderer’s case is complete, that uncertainty also leaves KM a little uncertain? MOO

While we're waiting, check out NP's law firm, post departure of Smith. If those red-soled high heels on Atty Paz's feet aren't genuine Louboutins, she may be encouraging a trademark infringement.

Update on appeals, etc.

Can not access - can you about 10% significant stuff I would need for my notes? TIA!
STAMFORD — Prosecutors appealing a judge's decision to vacate a conspiracy to commit tampering with evidence conviction in the sentencing of Michelle Troconis have until Feb. 10 to file their brief in the case.

In a document filed June 26, 2024, Supervisory State's Attorney Timothy Costello with the Office of the Chief State's Attorney listed the preliminary issues to be considered in the appeal as to whether Superior Court Judge Kevin Randolph erred in vacating the charge and whether Randolph erred in any of his procedural or evidentiary rulings. The notice of appeal was filed on June 20, court records show.

A judge agreed to push back the date for the brief in the state's appeal to Feb. 10, court documents show. Prosecutors also need to file a separate brief on that day in her appeal of her conviction, documents said.

She now is represented by the state's public defender's office. Papers filed in Troconis' appeal of her conviction indicate that close to 6,000 pages of transcripts in her criminal proceedings dating back to 2019 had been completed and turned over to attorneys as of Dec. 23.

She also is facing a contempt of court charge stemming from a confidential Dulos family court report that state police said was visible on her computer during portions of her trial. She is due in state Superior Court in Stamford to deal with the contempt of court charge on Feb. 19.

Attorney Kent Mawhinney, also charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the case, is awaiting trial.

Thank you! :)

There was some activity filed on MT's cross claim (AC 47734) in the Appellate Court on January 16, 2025:

MT's new PD- Pamela Nagy, filed an unopposed Motion for Permission to File a Late Statement of Alternative Grounds.

The The trial court (Randolph, J.) vacated one of the convictions for conspiracy to commit tampering and the state filed this appeal on June 20, 2024 and the preliminary statement of issues on June 26, 2024. At the time, Attorney Jon Schoenhorn was counsel of record for the defendant. The due date for the defendant to file any statement of alternative grounds was July 16,when Attorney Schoenhorn was still counsel of record.

On July 17,2024, the Legal Services Unit entered its appearance in lieu of Attorney Schoenhorn, and counsel Nagy entered her appearance on December 18 in lieu of the Legal Services Unit.

The Motion argued there was good cause for the late filing because defendant was not represented by Nagy's office when the deadline occurred, and the Motion was granted by Order dated Jan 16, 2025

Thank You. So basically, just housekeeping and handing off the baton (so to speak). Appreciate the update. Sure looking forward to KM's day in court, but I'm not holding my breath. That ankle bracelet must be itchy and cumbersome by now. Yet, better than incarceration.
