“Participating in rehabilitative offerings at prison is not charity, is not the business savvy her PR  firm family are trying to brand it as.“

Right, you are. I mean, she’s in prison, with nothing better to do with herself. She doesn’t get the medal her family thinks she deserves, for keeping herself occupied.

Maybe while she's in the hum drum of knitting booties, a little light will light up in her head and say, "Hey wait a minute...I know what I should do to help prove my innocence. Allow public access by local journalists to release my cell phone records before/during and after the murder. That'll clear everything up. I don't know why my attorney fought so hard to have them suppressed."

But not just any knit booties--MT's come with a braille tag!

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has custody of the bones and will be conducting several tests to try and determine an accurate age of the bones,” Diaz said.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said Monday it is continuing to investigate the remains and noted that the bones are “not from modern times.”
They have since said “more than a century old”. Jeez, I hope they didn’t dig up somebody’s family plot!
