GUILTY CT - Jennifer Dulos, 50, deceased/not found, New Canaan, 24 May 2019 *ARRESTS* #71

I, personally, can't imagine any circumstance I found myself in that I would call Norm Pattis to help me resolve it. Bowman...yes, but Norm Pattis, nope. It'll be interesting to watch this case unfold as well.

I think he's also representing Kimberly Sullivan. The stepmother who imprisioned her step son for 20 years. I believe he was less than 70 pounds when he escaped.
Oh, jeez-and he’ll lose that one, too.

Kimberly sullivan’s lawyer I believe is Ioannis Kalodis. I have not heard good ole Norm mentioned in relation to that case altho I may hv missed it.
It might be too close to “home” for Norm as didn’t he write on his website about his childhood teenage years as not so good /they led him to therapy etc? Nothing like locked in a room but he was certainly raised in an “unconventional” fashion.
Here is another CT one - very local to me. Son murdered mother and has confessed. It has Pattis written all over it. In New Canaan not far from Waveny. If anyone is interested maybe we can start a thread. I don’t know how.
Article gifted
I’m nearby, and heard about this, too. The son appears to have had deep mental illness issues for his entire life. It’s terrible.

The habeas corpus petition that is seeking to have her conviction overturned due to “ineffective assistance of counsel” (Bowman) trial is about the only thing on the horizon for MT. It’s scheduled for January 2026.

Oh man, just received notification that a document was added, and it's absolute GOLD.

The RESPONDENT’S MOTION IN LIMINE was filed today (11/3/25), and it takes aim at MT's doozy witness list (names 16 potential witnesses). As I've long predicted, MT couldn't help herself!

In a manner that only MT is capable, she thought she could turn her petition into an opportunity to relitigate the criminal proceedings. And as you probably guessed, she's still trying to sneak in evidence previously denied (i.e., Herman report), and therefore, the witness list was issued in bad faith.

To quote the Senior Assistant State’s Attorney (Jo Anne Sulik):

".... the respondent moves to preclude the testimony of the majority of potential witnesses named in the petitioner’s witness list. The list is not made in good faith. Rather, it appears that the petitioner seeks to turn this habeas corpus proceeding into a three-ring circus, with her counsel serving as ring master.

The 10-page motion is definitely worth a read, and is linked below. Enjoy!

If Michi followed the advice of Bowman, I think she would not be incarcerated now, she would have some sympathy even as a murderer, Jennifer would be located, and Fotis would be in jail and alive.

An incarcerated, murderous father who can be approached with questions could be better than a father who scrawled a missive of lies shortly before checking out forever.

In my opinion, MT's behavior after the murder increased the damage. In my opinion, Bowman could have helped her make the best of the post-murder nightmare for the living victims.

"Simply because the petitioner has woven parts of her life story...."

Ha!

Is there anyone (outside of the troconiverse) who thinks Bowman, as a sesdoned and esteemed attorney, didn't advise MT on her rights, didn't advise her that being truthful (the truthful kind of truthful, not trocotruthful) was in her best interest? Everyone involved in those interviews was pushing for a sweetheart deal IMO, knowing MT could fill in the missing pieces thru needed to convict FD. But nupe, she was all in, in with the alibi scripts. Bowman never advised her to run at the mouth, lie, continue to cover for FD, etc, etc.

Given the situation she was in, canning Bowman IMO was the worst decision she could make. I'm convinced he would have brokered a deal for her but she would have had to testify against FD to get it. She'd be out now, with time served IMO and FD wouldn't be dead.

He'd be in prison.

Exactly. If she had cooperated, Fotis would have gone to trial, and he would have gotten the punishment he deserved. It’s always been my feeling that Bowman understood what happened, or at least, understood how to keep her out of real trouble, and did his best. But no, that wasn’t good enough for her. She wanted to do no time, AND get out of testifying against Fotis, even though she knew the whole thing, and helped FD execute it.

A discussion with Kent and an investigation of MT's cell phone activity might stop all of this unnecessary paperwork and taxpayer expense. AND she's been convicted without the above. I have to admit that it is interesting to watch how delusional this family is. Her websites narrative and photos paint a very different picture than the truths that we've been all privy to.

TROCONIS APPEAL UPDATE: The attorney representing Michelle Troconis in her appeal has filed her brief laying out why Troconis’ convictions in connection with the disappearance and presumed murder of Jennifer Dulos should be overturned. In March 2024, a jury found Troconis guilty of conspiring with her former boyfriend, Fotis Dulos, to kill his estranged wife and helping him cover up the crime. She was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder,
evidence tampering, conspiracy to commit evidence tampering, and hindering prosecution.

Right after the verdict came down, Troconis’ attorney and family said she’d appeal. Troconis filed to do so in August 2024, but the appeal brief documenting all her arguments was not due until yesterday. The online court system shows it was filed Nov. 10, but it hasn’t been uploaded to the site for public view. The brief does contain sealed documents, so a redacted version was also supposed to be submitted, per a filing by Troconis’ attorney last week.

I’m working on trying to get a copy, but it’s expected to be incredibly lengthy. Last month, the judge signed off on Troconis’ attorney’s request to exceed the word limit by 6,500 words for a total of 20,000 words. The state has until Dec. 10 to file its brief in response, but I would not be surprised if that deadline is extended given the length of this appeal document.

The appeal is separate from Troconis’ habeas challenge to be released from prison and have her convictions vacated. That case, which is based on Troconis’ claims her constitutional rights were violated during the Jennifer Dulos investigation in 2019, is due to go to trial in January. The habeas petition, which was filed in September 2024, targets her initial attorney, Andrew Bowman, for alleged “deficient performance and/or incompetent counsel” and then-Stamford State's Attorney Richard Colangelo for allegedly failing to honor an agreement in exchange for Troconis’ cooperation.

Troconis’ is currently serving 14 ½ years at York Correctional Institution. She’s the only suspect arrested in the case who’s incarcerated. Fotis Dulos, who police believe killed his estranged wife in her garage in New Canaan and then disposed of her body, died by suicide in January 2020. His friend and former attorney, Kent Mawhinney, was also charged with conspiring with Fotis Dulos to carry out the crime—a felony charge—but Mawhinney pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of interfering with an officer and was sentenced to time served.

Speaking only to the "agreement" with Colangelo -- he didn't honor it? Ha! She wasn't truthful!

Make it stop.

So, let me get this straight, she approved of Bowman's advice/counsel when she was being interviewed regarding all of the Fore Groups financial shenanigans (he advised to her take "the 5th" on all questions due to her 1st hand knowledge of tricky accounting and secretive financial activity), but she didn't like his advise/counsel when she was being interviewed by law enforcement and choose to lie during just about every interview relating the the death of a mother of 5 children? I'm super excited to read the prosecutions response and I hope they can reveal even more than we've been privy too. There are soooo many examples of her nefarious behavior that point to co-conspiracy. One example that I don't think surfaced in the hearing is MT driving to NY to request the Farber Trust document? Who does that and why? Someone up to no good, that's who.

So…3 times the acceptable number of words in the brief…why does a judge allow this? When do the rules apply to this bimbo?

There can be only one reason to go to NYC to request the Farber Trust document…so now we know who and what she is. And of course, no woman who wasn’t fully invested in the murder of Jennifer Dulos would have gone. She would have said to Dulos “Wait-you want me to do WHAT? Why? I’m not doing that!”. She knew why he asked her, and as you said, was up to no good.

As I recall, MT's trip to NY Probate Court never came up at trial, and it was never said that LE investigated it. I thought it was odd if they didn't.
