Trying to make the case that the she should get a new trial because she didn't understand the situation she was in (on account of no interpreter, which she herself declined) and yet she presents for court, apparently without need for one.

Maybe all that Braille improved her Englishes.

I thought a while back, that Pawel Gumienny was on her list of witnesses to call, but no longer on her list…probably thought he would be more harmful than helpful to her. Is the scope of questioning pretty narrow in this hearing? Just wondering if they were unable to ask him about his immunity deal, and that’s what she originally wanted. Also saw that Ventresca and Kimball were on the list, but not considered “likely” to be called. I wonder why not? I imagine that those two would have much to say about those three sessions that she willingly engaged in with them, although it would seem that the videos would speak for themselves. Schoenhorn will probably take up much of the rest of the time.

I do wish the cross would explore her statements to her attorney now that she gave up privilege. She was not only lying to police but she lied to her attorney. He can't create a great defense for her if she is not honest with him--- no good advice can come from someone who is ill-informed. If she had told him the truth or walked back some of her lies, he would have been more likely to emphasize not talking to the police, which was his stance. She had to have been informed of the risks of lying and I would love him to detail this as well..

I've never seen this type of court petition before.

We were supposed to hear from Former States attorney Collangelo and also former Det. Kimball. Those were the only 2 I had heard of as being witnesses. So disappointing that this entire proceeding seems to be a shambles operation with poor audio and lack of information shared with the public. Typical CT imo so not surprised.

Yes, but its actually imo worse than this as MT imo intentionally wasted LE time and resources at a time when they were searching the entire state and stretched thin! Her wasting their time on a wild goose chase imo shows her to be emotionally disturbed and consumed also imo with her hatred of JF and the entire Farber family. I wish there had been some charge added for obstruction just for this process of wasting time as she did it for days iirc! Sick and imo also EVIL.

Just thinking about all the CSP and State resources that went into PROVING the MT and FD lies is something that still stuns me after all these years! Its hard to wrap my head around MT getting this trial and the State spending the resources for a 3-4 day trial on a situation where the convicted felon demonstrably lied and lied to the point where their lies consumed huge resources and time during a period when the goal was locating first a missing victim and then a murder victim.

There imo has to be a special place in HELL for people like MT and her mother who imo no doubt encouraged all this lying and supported her effectively bamboozling her own attorney! I mean who can ever forget the images of MT down on her knees in the interview room and then the faux tears (when she realized the gig was up with CSP and Colangelo imo). Those images can never be forgotten as I recall us all watching with jaws dropped and wonder 'what the hell is MT doing still supporting the alibi timeline and FD'.

Its all quite mind boggling and I hope the Judge sees through the entire web of lies and simply sends the convicted felon BACK TO PRISON to serve out her entire sentence!

The person that stands out here is the FD Attorney Michael Rose who was the person responsible for submitting fraudulent financial statements in Family Court such that he was terminated from the Court by the Judge for his role with not just the faux financials but with the stolen Herman report. Not sure what deal he and Fotis cracked with the also dismissed and imo most definitely corrupt GAL Atty Michael Meehan, but it must have taken the last of the Dulos cash! Given that Rose was clearly speaking with MT and imo trying to manipulate her as well, I find it even more preposterous for her to claim that she had no idea of what was going on Family Court as she proceeded to head to 'the pond' and laster iirc 'the Murders Eve Dinner'!

I still wonder if either MT or Mama Troconis received funding for their continued support of the FD 'alibi timeline' nonsense that wasted so much valuable time and resources?

Hearing from PG would be interesting but my guess is that testimony from Atty Colangelo will make clear that deals for cooperation aren't always tied up neatly with a bow, as PG iirc didn't have a written cooperation deal for over a year from Colangelo. I also hope Colangelo SPARES NO DETAILS on how long it took to prove out the MT lies and I also HOPE IT INCLUDES THE DETAILS FROM HER PHONE!

I truly don't know if the lack of consistency on the language issue is stupidly or pure hubris!?!?

I mean who can forget the entire farce of the ridiculous Schoenhorn attempting to speak to MT in spanish and even telling her to 'hush' in Spanish! Its all been a huge circus and farce but more importantly it wasted HUGE resources from the State as I would love to know how much the total bill was for all the hearings and entire trial for the simultaneous translation for MT and her family.

Was just listening to the available portion of afternoon testimony and wanted to update my prior comment about the search warrant and later an arrest affidavit and Atty Bowman not appearing to have them immediately. The testimony today was that the document was sealed for 14 days (this matches my recollection from the time based on the public not seeing any of the details for about 2 weeks). I didn't realize that this sealing precluded attorney such as Atty Bowman from seeing the document as well.
