Your last sentence is right on. I was fortunate enough to train and work on Wall St. for a period and this was the overriding attitude.
Money, money and more money.
And as I've said previously we were taught well how to identify
those potential clients w/ sizeable incomes and assets.
FD was capable of doing the same and sought out women to date
based on their family money. I'm sure he was able to sleuth
JD's father's income and went after her like a shark on blood.
He knew her at Brown; I’m sure he’s known since college that her family was wealthy. Maybe he thought wife #1 would be the goldmine, and when she turned out not to be, he started planning. I know I read somewhere that they were acquainted in college; I wonder if they dated at all there. Otherwise it seems a little weird to run into someone you barely know from college and start reacquainting-especially while you are married. I think he knew she was wealthy, and she was his goal before they even ran into each other the first time.
