To be honest, I thought somewhere in these many threads - sleuthers posted about why the family has not stepped forward to support him? If that's the case - now we know - his lawyer probably said it's time to support him publicly - but usually those statements of support come out right away - like "no way, my brother/son/father/husband/nephew would never do anything to harm his wife/girlfriend/child.... you get the picture. I think this statement is way too late IMO. it does nothing for him JMO
Why now and not before?

The sister of Fotis Dulos, estranged husband of missing New Canaan mother Jennifer Farber Dulos, says “he is not the person they say he is”
"
Rena Dulos said that she had talked to Jennifer about the divorce two years ago when it started. She said that she was emailing with her until about six months ago when her lawyers told her to stop.

“We had a fantastic relationship even when the court situation started. She was a loving person for our family and we are so much worrying about her and I hope everything will end nicely,” Rena Dulos said.
"
Good article IMO. Glad the reporter called and spoke with RD in person IMO. This statement jumped out to me from the article as it seems to oddly 'echo' a statement made last week by Pattis:

“I know him so well and I can tell you the truth is very far from what we know so far [BBC],” she said.

Just more info to sow seeds of possible doubt in potential jurors heads IMO. No facts or specific statements, just general and broad brush comments designed to cast doubt. IMO this Press Release has the hands of Pattis all over it. MOO

The other thing is that perhaps MT got a call that kicked off the run to Albany Ave. Its hard to tell how integrated MT was into the lives of JD/JD children to see how this could happen.
Why would MT get a call and by whom? Was she allowed to interact with JD's kids?

One thing FD did that he didn't have to do was go to NCPD headquarters the day after. Have no idea what NCPD told FD about the purpose of this visit but we know FD arrived with his lawyer. Presumably he was prepared to say or do something (superficial cooperation??), otherwise he wouldn't go. I get the impression from FD's motion to have evidence returned that the NCPD visit went south quickly. Seems like FD showed NCPD his phone and was taken aback that they refused to return it, and when the phone was confiscated FD and his attorney quickly exited. IMHO.
Didn't he also head to NYC to see his children? I think I read his visit with his attorney was 2 ish? Then LE returned to his house around 6 that evening? He must have been running on adrenaline for 2 days.MOO

exactly - I think something is coming.... and it isn't good for FD. IMO

i agree with you...i feel like one way or another something big is happening soon. i thought allowing MT leniency on her 4th of july travel plans was very telling. IF they felt like she was heavily connected, i cant see giving her any additional liberties.

I've seen real life crimes on TV where LE does, in fact, call the
estranged husband right away in missing mom cases. LE wants
to check all bases before they send out an alert.
This might also have been a precursor to 'inviting' FD down to
NCPD to have a little chat with them. It just so happened his pal,
his atty. wanted to ride along. GF had most likely given LE a
quick synopsis of the behaviors of the estranged one. They were
onto him from Day 1. No question.

The circumstances of that early FD trip to NCPD headquarters was also something that wasn't fully explained IMO in terms of timing. FD must have had notice and agreed to show up as he lined up his atty to attend the meeting. I'm also not so sure anyone in JD friend group would have raised the alert with FD. Wonder if his first call was from NCPD? I also wonder what time the friends showed up at NCPD headquarters to file the report as it no doubt took time to take the information etc.

Despite my selfish frustration of hearing nothing of late from LE, I am going back to the beginning and what we know. And to me the most damning evidence is the joy ride in the North End. Tight neighborhoods, houses close together, lots of homeless street people. Friday evening on a holiday weekend is usually jumping. Everybody is out and everybody knows everybody.

They would notice the likes of Mr.Dulos rolling through in his shiny black truck.

And the homeless know those dumpsters like the back of their hands. Who knows what they came across a week before and never reported? Until the cops came a callin'.
Yes! This post makes me so happy!

After reading her statement, I'm wondering if FD's sister is in denial about his guilt or she's just trying to save his skin with the same far fetched story as NP?
Methinks Pattis' media coordinator is back from vacation.

With all the connections/interconnections amongst the people in this case you never know who could have called whom IMO. The towns involved here are relatively small and people do talk but I also don't see many connections between Farmington and NC happening on the missing date but that could be an incorrect assumption.

I do doubt a friend of JD would pick up the phone and call MT directly but perhaps a friend of a friend who knew someone in Farmington might have contacted her? IDK. We also don't know for sure that the friends that reported JD missing were all from NC (my guess is that they were but we don't know unfortunately).

JD lived in Farmington for longer than she did in NC and no doubt had a friend group there as well. Did she stay in contact with her former friends and neighbors? How do we know that it wasn't someone from Farmington that was involved with filing the missing report or someone from their friend group that might have alerted FD and/or MT? Just tossing out ideas here to indicate that our knowledge is very limited but it seems possible that people from Farmington might have been in ongoing contact with JD.

Also, MT and FD had worked in/around NC on the Hemlock Hill property and so no doubt knew people and workers in the area and perhaps they were the one/s to pass on the information. MT/FD were not totally unconnected to NC IMO and no doubt knew people.

According to this article FD went to NYC to try to see his kids on May 26. Fotis Dulos, estranged husband of missing New Canaan mother of five, charged in connection with investigation into her disappearance. FD was at NCPD headquarters on May 25 at 2:47 pm. https://int.nyt.com/data/documenthe...rants/6d596144af51cba22c02/optimized/full.pdf. I don't think LE went to FD's house until May 31, when they escorted him out.

"I hope everything will end nicely"?

Furreal?! Now that my brother and his sidepiece have travelled through Hartford spreading Jennifer's DNA on bloody sponges amongst the townfolk's garbage cans ON CAMERA....I hope everything will end nicely?

There must be something in that Greek water, Rena.

IMO someone who wasn't close to JD's family/friends would probably not have known about her disappearance that early (5-7pm). My guess is that FD and MT learned about it from the police. They were expecting that call.

As I’ve mentioned before, my ex had the same sociopathic, narcissistic personality as FD. I experienced the same kinds of abuse as Jennifer. My ex also lied about his business dealings, finances and just about everything else when our divorce went to trial.

But, like FD, my ex could be very charming, very protective, very generous and very caring to his friends and family.

When I read RD’s statement, it sounded almost verbatim what my ex’s sisters would and did say.

As I read RD’s statement, I visioned that my ex-sisters-in-law wrote it, because that’s exactly how they believed (or hoped others believed) their brother was.

However, like others have said here, I definitely think NP wrote, or helped write, RD’s statement.

Nicely for her brother, of course. Preferably ending with him relocating his children to Greece.

Sorry, actions and SM postings speak much louder than any words. I don't believe RD's spin. JMO.

This sister's response is off the wall! Either she is so brilliant she lives in another world or a professional writer composed this letter for her. IMO.

Will she be surprised when her eyes are opened to the facts of who her brother is, and how he has lied to his family for thirty years. He is not the successful entrepreneur in the United States who she has bragged about.

Any brother who has been arrested and charged as he has, must make a sibling begin to ask questions within herself, as to what’s happened to my brother? Of course, she doesn’t know US law, so that is confusing, but she should have many questions. IMO.

The arrest warrant says that NCPD received the report of JD being missing "at about 7:00 pm", that 10 minutes later (7:10 pm) Dulos' cell phone traveled to the Albany Avenue area in north Hartford, and that by 7:41 pm FD's cell phone was back at his Farmington home. If Dulos' phone was in north Hartford by 7:10 pm, I don't think it's likely that NCPD had already contacted him since NCPD only received the missing person's report about 10 mins prior.

It’s possible that as FD waited to be notified by LE of JD’s disappearance, he became more anxious and impatient.

Wondering if his kids and their grandmother GF knew anything yet, FD made a call to them under the guise he was calling about their weekend plans.

It’s possible one of the kids, if they were told yet, told FD that JD was missing. FD may have then said he was coming to NYC to get them.

At which time GF called the body guards. And FD & MT made the trip to Albany Ave.

MOO
