I often wonder who can’t see right through these types of people .
What about MT? Without the mistakes that they made when dumping the evidence, they'd still be together, covering for each other. Even without her, if he got away with it, FD would find someone else like her.

If you know, when they searched at WHR was it just on land? I can't remember!
Your opinion that she has been buried somewhere there, right?
Not in the water?

At least one of the houses he has access to surely has a massive freezer, I feel sure. Or you guys think not?

Encourage anyone that wants to learn more about the NC community to check out the local online newspaper:

https://newcanaanite.com/author/michael-dinan

IMO the articles written by Michael regarding the case have been some of the best and his article untangling the basic details of the 'money trail' of FD was extremely helpful in understanding why FD had been fighting against disclosure of his financial dealings in Family Court for nearly 2 years. The article about the financial aspects of the case written by Mike is in the Media Thread for this case.

Honestly, I doubt it . If he had gotten away with it . She was only a pawn to help him get away with murder only with “privileges “. My gut tells me he would’ve found a way to ahem .. dispose ... of her as well. Then go on to wifey #3 ....

It takes a long time for someone who has been romanced by these people to see them separate and apart from the love they felt and they're often stunned to reflect on the behavior years later.

It's good to note that part of the control comes from separating the wife from her supportive network. Then he controls the way she defines herself and she becomes the equivalent of a battered woman.

Thank goodness Jennifer had a couple of years away from him physically but he was always in her head.

Like the old saying about putting something in hot water and turning up the heat a little at a time vs. boiling at first... slippery slope, an inch at a time. And when you’re busy with kids and doing right by them plus trying to live up to expectations someone unreasonable throws in your face all the time, your time for reflection is perhaps reduced along with your self-confidence. Reading what she wrote about trying to live up to his expectations all those times just makes me sick. She is not alone in life with that and I hate that, too.

We don't know for how long FD had been contemplating murdering JD. I don't think he would have killed MT, especially if she went along with his agenda. These two probably have a lot in common.

Why not there ?
I can only speculate, but they just said they have been there in some function since MIRA. Maybe that means they will bring their full crew in next week.

Regarding the thoughts on pen names, many of the writers I know—so this is just experience and not scholarly research FYI—, choose pen names that are FAR from their real lives so they don’t have to deal with Aunt Phoebe getting upset when she reads what has been written and thinks it’s about her being so awful (whether it is based on her or not). Also, when you want to get into character and when you are submitting to publications, different names can help. Also, if you know a lot of editors and writers, you may not want to use your real name to submit because they may pass you by as a result or if they take the work, you and they may wonder if it’s due to knowing you. Some writers do use clue names so they can write in different genres, for example. Just my thoughts, but pen names don’t bode ill in my view.

Hartford Courant article Police continue searching local park for missing New Canaan mother as children at center of contentious custody battle are with armed guard in New York City apartment

This article has the court testimony about how FD and MT did not comply with court orders that MT was NOT supposed to be at 4JX when the 5 children were present.

Quote from HC article above:

"At one point, the judge got angry with Fotis Dulos for ignoring part of that order by having his Argentinian girlfriend stay at the Farmington house while the children were there. He limited Dulos’ access to the children after that". [BBM]

“In view of the close bond among all five children, the court finds it highly likely that all five of the children have been adversely impacted by the breakdown of their parents’ marriage, the defendant’s relationship with [the girlfriend] and the pressure that the defendant has placed on them to lie.” [BBM]

Speaking of things that you may regret when you read them, try reading through this entire list of updates and reflect on how JD may have felt sharing her happy news and then how she may have felt when everything seemed to go badly—and now he and Pattis have dragged her private life and their imaginations and self-serving rambling into the bright light of the world. In every way—flagrant flaunting of MT and squandering her family money, for example—he seems to have tried to punish her as viciously as possible, certainly figuratively and—my opinion only—also literally. She deserved so much better!

It's very sad. Distressing.

When I was about 13 I read a horrible story about a little girl who got trapped in a cave and died there in the dark surrounded by rats. Fiction. I think Mary Higgins Clark of something?

Anyhow, it horrified me and triggered my fears of being trapped.

To me there is nothing worse than striving to escape a terrible situation. But dying before you can. Trapped.

I feel like in a sense that happened to Jennifer. She was trapped in a loveless, abusive relationship and he kept her shackled afterward by aggressive litigation.

Then he killed her. She never had a real chance to be free.

Truly, what happened to her is a horror story.

There is a deep-seated need to make others fell "less-than" in order to keep the narcissistic feed going.

MT would have eventually had to slip from love interest to less-than because FD's personality requires that.

Those of us who are concerned about the welfare of others can't wrap our minds around that character flaw but it is real and it is destructive and even if MT does a little jail time for aiding and abetting/tampering, she got lucky!

But is anyone surprised by the blatant disregard for the courts order ? This dude thinks he’s above the law and so does his GF apparently. His poor me act in front of the cameras is just part of his typical charming behavior in order to make people think he’s a saint . SMH

You know, I can just picture the smirk on FD’s face as the judge says that to him. He has no intention of complying with any court order, unless he is locked up, and unable to do anything else.

Completely agree! Both FD an Pattis IMO had a decision to make about how to discuss JD with the public DAY 1. The choices they made to demonize and victimize JD so strongly and consistently in the press I believe strongly they will live to regret when the case/s come to trial.

I think it says alot about FD as a human being that he would let a paid professional speak about the mother of his 5 children the way that he has in the press. This press coverage will sadly live on with these children while their mother will most likely sadly not be here to explain it to them in years to come and it remains to be seen whether their father will ever be permitted to see or talk with them again.

The decision by FD/No Case Norm to take the 'low road' on the issue of discussion of JD in this case to me at least made their almost about face on the discussion front last week even more offensive. The FD interviews were hard to watch, stilted and uncomfortable and more about him than the missing JD. Clearly there is alot of information not out to the public yet but what ever happened to respect for missing people, victims of DV and your spouse even in the face of a difficult divorce? IMO last week was just one big 'hair flip' moment for FD (absent the hair but hope you get my point!) and simply more about the singleminded me-me-me- me focus that seems to characterize his entire being. What a prince of a guy!

As I've said previously I would be satisfied with a total gag order on this case and waiting for trial as I've had enough of the drival we saw last week from FD/Pattis and Atty's Bowman's early attempt to rehabilitate his seemingly morally bankrupt and embattled client MT. MOO!

Amen to this . Narcissists are incapable of feeling anything but their own desires . I don’t think it’s as much a character flaw as a physiological trait they are born with and is exacerbated by people telling them they are so handsome and smart and can do no wrong . MT may have some of the same traits but is no where near as flawed as he is or she wouldn’t have gotten mixed up with him in the first place . That’s why I think she was just a tool to get him what he wanted and then dispose of her when the task was done .
