I love that he dodged the question about FD showing any feelings that he misses his ex-wife or is hoping that she is found alive.

Attorney just says the he would Think that FD feels that way.

And when asked about support from friends ... He said ummm yeah a couple of childhood friends from Greece came over for a while ? Really ? That’s all ya got ... he lived n CT for a decade or more and crickets from the locals ...

Interesting takeaways from the interview: NP is away for the month?, FD is isolated, FD misses MT, Rochlin as mentioned by OP really struggled to address anything about FD feelings towards JD being missing and everything was rephrased in the context of the children which frankly was awful to hear and I wonder why?, FD feels he could be a parent to his children and love and care for them, and the divorce action will be terminated at some point.

Strange interview IMO.

Wonder why even a paid/hired gun couldn't coherently string a sentence together about feelings by FD towards JD being missing? I find this stunning.

But I guess if FD couldn't make a coherent statement regarding the issue in his Channel 4 interview then why would we expect anything different from Rochlin?

There must be a reason for this inability to speak positively about JD by FD and Atty Rochlin, perhaps having to do with information that will come out at a later date? MOO

How are they going to nail this guy without a body? It's obvious to me, she was in those bags he threw out. I hope this doesn't turn into a cold case. It happened with Kyron Homan. His stepmother lawyered up, so she didn't have to answer any questions and there was no body. It's been years and she's since moved to another state and remarried. Noone even knows if she did it. Crazy system if you ask me. What happened to good old-fashion interrogation?

My guess would be that to get to that location someone would have to travel to the area. This isn't difficult to do but to go over bridges with security cameras would leave a trail for someone IMO. The only way it might be doable is if body were passed to someone unknown to the case and this person was responsible for body disposal.

We know FD was in NYC to go to GF apt (he was turned away) and his trip was very public and documented. I'm not sure even he would use his trip to NY to dispose of a body when the GPS on his vehicle no doubt would document the trip or the phone he used with the Waze app would have had this trip in its history if it weren't wiped.

Stranger things have happened but we have had no indication of any LE searching in/around NYC for JD.

Is there any facility that illegally dumps trash in the ocean? I know they have those huge trash barges going down the river to where I don’t know and there used to be a lot of illegal dumping because awful stuff would wash up on the beaches.

If someone working on this case is feeding NP info .. I hope they are exposed prosecuted. I think someone is tho .. how else would he know MT passed the polygraph ? No one in LE ever said if she passed or failed .

They’d be charged with a felony. Like MT and FD. Tampering/hindering/interfering with ongoing investigation.
A cop in prison? They’d be dead with in a month.

That is what I have envisioned. I started out thinking maybe the red PU had a tonneau cover but this would work just as well.

But I have always kind of wondered if he didn't just wait for JD to get almost in the garage and just drive the red PU right up behind her hoping she would be focused on gathering her things to go into the house and not notice him until it was too late.

Then he could have pulled the PU right into the garage to avoid detection while loading the body and bags. I just have a hard time imagining him loading the bags into JD's car and transferring them to the PU down by the park.

If FD wasn't able to get the jump on her before she tried to call for help he could have tried to calm her by saying he just wanted to solidify things about the next days visitation.

Maybe too far fetched? JMO

Somewhere I read she had a habit of leaving the garage door open on her quick drop offs to school...if so he didn’t have to rush in behind her...he could have entered the garage while she was gone and hid behind the other vehicle...IMO

Upper classes generally keep within circles. Elite group, and perhaps rightfully so. Highly educated and further as a courtesy to JD, her parents, and/or assuming that anything they say could jeopardize the investigation, could have kept them quiet. They like their privacy. Protect it fiercely.
I would not talk to media. None of their business, imho.

People generally keep to themselves, very private in general, involved in their families and careers and people know each other via their childrens activities, school or local clubs and activities. I cannot speak for Farmington but I don't believe its much different from NC. If people speak it will be at a later time but I don't think we will hear anything from neighbors ever.

I also think the people of NC are reluctant in general to speak to the press at this point for fear of jeopardizing the investigation as people care deeply that what happened to JD is resolved. I don't know what the latest tip count is but it was over 1,000 with NCPD the last time I looked. NC as a community has the incredible ability to pull together when push comes to shove but IMO would deal with LE directly and never the press and I think the tips number reflects that people do care and that people have told LE what they saw and have shared their CCTV etc.

For what its worth I think NC residents might also be dealing with the issue of general personal safety and how effective is local policing at protecting the town with no CCTV? There has been resistance in the past to cameras anywhere due to privacy concerns but maybe people are most likely rethinking personal safety in light of what might have happened to JD IMO and LE inability to solve this case quickly.

These are all big and complicated questions and many might be frightened too as there could be a false sense of security about having a top of the line home security system and lots of cameras and the fact that you too might be a victim like JD. IDK but people are no doubt thinking about personal security even when the NCPD again posted info that last year 15 cars were stolen in town and that people continue to leave their keys in the car and unlocked in their driveways. But there are now over 2,000 signatures on a petition to improve security at Waveny Park and in the past any requests to improve security were shot down by Selectman so perhaps things will change. I do know that walking around Waveny and seeing all the downed fencing and open access to the Merritt Pkwy that I don't feel safe walking in that area alone. For what its worth I hope the Town looks at park safety at Waveny in a serious and thoughtful way.

Also look at the friend group JD had around her that reported her missing as quickly as they did. IMO if this case is solved and prosecuted successfully it is fully a testament to the friends that reported her missing and got NCPD to the house as quickly as they did and the nanny that took the children to safety.

We are not going to get just any Tom, Dick, or Harry getting their 30 seconds of fame in an impromptu interview, in these areas of CT.

Everyone in these areas would definitely be helping LE in anyway they can, but they are not going to walk up and start talking to the Media.

In addition, anyone who has provided information or videos to LE will have been instructed about keeping a low profile and refrain from speaking about the said info or videos.

One of JD's local friends spoke about her in the HLN/CNN interview. The friend was great and I thought she really brought more humanity to the case.

Then, there is JD's friend from college that has been chosen as the family spokesperson and the family has only submitted a few statements through her.

This is about all we are going to get from friends or neighbors.

It would probably make you scared to say too much since a dangerous person is out on bail and seems to get around town easily. Also Jennifer’s friends seem very loyal because she earned that from being a wonderful person I am sure.

It was Sturbridge. However, this was way out of the ordinary and I think it had a lot to do with the fact that she was a young person. Her parents would not have done this or perhaps she was new to this area of CT.
